After the Orlando terrorist attack Hillary Clinton went into a modified sub surface communication status called “radio infrequent”. Tenuous times require those who communicate via poll-tested and political wind-driven soundbites to move carefully amid unfamiliar terrain.
Now, as predicted, after the “anti-globalist” Brexit result, Hillary Clinton goes further into the status of “radio-silent”. Full Stop (stay quiet, stay deep), and stay away from visibility until the consultants can gauge the best course. Status = Deep Sweat, Anxious.
The professional media political class, who are still trying to come to grips with the ramifications of a stunning geopolitical push back, are also in a reassessment mode. The polling releases today from Washington Post/ABC and from Wall Street Journal/NBC also highlight their modified deep-pause position.
In modern U.S. elections polls can have two purposes: #1 is to display the current status of any given election. #2 is to provide a preferred media narrative for any given election. The former is growing increasingly scarce, the latter is ideologically utilized depending on need. We also call the latter “agenda polls”.
Progressive globalists and liberals writ large are back on their heels. Way back. Further back than they have been in the past two decades.
♦ If you cannot find the clear and concise raw data for any “Poll” or “Survey”, and the only information available is an interpretation of that data (editorial), in almost every example that survey/poll was conducted for reason #2 above: push an agenda. It’s a simple truism that has remarkable consistency.
Just as the pre-vote Brexit polling was pushed to aid the liberal REMAIN camp, so too are the current U.S. presidential agenda polls being pushed to prop up the invisible candidate. The specific candidate (Clinton) needs to be protected from visibility of held positions/beliefs that are clearly now evidenced in the minority.
We said months ago when first discussing the potential EU vote, if Brexit was successful the entire Clinton approach toward the 2016 presidential race would need to be re-evaluated. The reasoning is simple, every single person within the Clinton Camp is ideologically aligned with the pro-EU REMAIN team.
Secretary Hillary Clinton has no concept of how to take a position that is in the nation state’s best interest. There is no-one within Clinton’s circle of influence that has any grasp on electoral politics that’s not directly aligned with a globalist vision. As Megan McArdle writes:

Breitbart’s Bokhari and Yiannopoulos have it exactly correct when they diagnose the echo-chambered mindset:

Every individual, institution, entity and organization in the sphere of the Clinton political machine, have no alternate frame of reference for their understanding of the world, the universe, or the way that ordinary people interact with each other and their community.
The media is infected with this same fundamental flaw. They cannot conceptualize of a world where people just don’t value their same values, believe in their beliefs, understand their same understandings, or define virtue with the same arbitrary moral relativism.
As the seismic geography has changed around them the political U.S. media are now in a phase of double-down denial and transmission of signals (via polls) that attempt to create a self-fulfilling reassurance…
