Sketchy Ted Cruz Campaign Fundraiser Recorded Telling Donors They Can Violate Finance Laws…

Senator Ted Cruz has at least eight Super-PAC’s assisting his presidential campaign; and according to a recording obtained by Politico a Cruz’s campaign bundler was directing large donors toward one PAC specifically.  The “Stand for Truth” PAC.

cruz McConnell

However, the campaign appears to have, yet again, gone into the land of illegality with the following statement (via audio recording):

“If you hit your max then we have a table for you that is the unlimited table,” Keet Lewis, a bundler for the campaign and co-host of a Dec. 30 fundraiser in Dallas, says on the recording provided to POLITICO. “It can take corporate dollars, it can take partnership dollars, and that’s the super PAC, Stand for Truth, so pick up some of that information.” (link)

The politico article goes on to share how and why the fundraising instructions are illegal – read here– but that’s not the part that might stick out to anyone who has been following the 2015/2016 shady campaign finances.

sft 5 Eric Lycan

The actual Super-PAC the Ted Cruz campaign is preferring, “Stand for Truth”, is run by Mitch McConnell’s attorney, Eric Lycan;  and the receipts inside the most recent filings show some of the biggest donors in the DC circuit heavy hitters club.

The Cruz campaign likes to sell a narrative of being an “outsider”.  However, the PAC wasn’t created until November 18th 2015 and this recorded fundraising pitch was December 30th 2015, a little more than a month after the PAC was formed.

Why is that aspect pertinent?  Not a single primary took place until Feb 1st, and almost all of the candidates were still in the race when this donor meeting took place.   The Mitch McConnell/Eric Lycan “insider DC pac” known as Stand for Truth, was part of Team Cruz finance while Bush, Rubio, Christie, Fiorina et al were still in the race.

Does that sound like an unfriendly -outside of the establishment- status?   Of course not.  Why would the GOPe be fundraising for Ted Cruz in December/January if he was an outsider while all the other ‘establishment candidates’ were still in the race?

What this really reveals is more evidence of Ted Cruz being a GOPe insider; always part of the ‘establishment‘ from the outset.   The “conservative Cruz-ruse” was simply a part of the vote ‘splitting’ strategy, all along.

So here’s the Monthly March 2016 filing in full pdf format (from the FEC portal).  Take a look at how large the average donations are, in addition to what they spent almost $10 million dollars on.

Yes, fyi – we noticed the $100,000 transfer from SfT PAC (McConnell/Lycan) to Keep The Promise PAC (Kelly Anne Conway).

In addition, if you want to understand why the campaign fundraiser would be giving instructions to donate, beyond legal limits, to the Super-PAC a great representative example can be found in the FEC filings for the Super-PAC “Club for Growth“.

If you go through the March monthly C4G filing (600+ pages) you’ll notice receipts from several donors who give $2,700 (or $5,000)  over, and over, and over, and over.  Further into the same filing report (when it changes to disbursements) you’ll note candidates getting the maximum contribution repeatedly from the same donors.

It appears C4G is used as a money laundry for individual donors who have exceeded their maximum donation threshold.   It’s another way to contribute beyond the allowable donation limit.

Based on the Politico story, in combination with the transcript recording, it looks like that’s what the Ted Cruz campaign was instructing the donors to do – and why they are instructing them to do it.

cruz bush 3

When you look at these filings long enough, what you’ll note is the transparency of what the rich donor class are doing.  It’s further ironic when you contrast this activity against Dinesh D’Sousa getting put in jail for doing the same thing independently and not using a Super-PAC to launder the money for him.

Almost all of these PACs have to file again on/around April 20th.  The March activity contained within the April filing will be interesting to review.

This is why Cruz should never be put on the ticket. The Democrats will challenge Cruz’s eligibility in all fifty states, and as much as I despise that party, I think they would have a good case against him in court. Snake Cruz knows he’s not eligible to be president and knew darn well that fact before he announced his presidential bid last spring. Who is it he serves. I think we all know that answer now. He’s not his own man, and is no doubt being paid handsomely to keep this deceptive campaign going. Thank God for our friends in the south who saw right through this snake because if he had swept the south, as had been predicted, he would probably be in the driver’s seat right now for the nomination.

Keep talking to those people who you know who support Cruz and keep pounding them with the truth of this deceptive man. The truth is a hard thing to come to terms with. I was a Cruz supporter until January, but I was bothered by his flip-flops on votes concerning TPP and H-1B visas. I started doing my own research and discovered Cruz’s long ties to the Bush family and Heidi’s job with Goldman Sachs. It finally clicked with me that Ted is a freaking globalist. Plus, when I would visit FR I noticed the Cruzers would get ticked off when some poster named Sundance would add a link there so I backtracked all his posts/articles and started reading them. That’s why I’m here today and no longer a Cruz backer. Keep working it folks. We’re the side that’s on the side of right!

Not only the eligibility issue, but the Cruz Sex Scandal keeps bubbling up to the surface. And It’s just a matter of time before it’s impossible for him to get to 1237.

When that happens, and he keeps running, it’s going to show that he could care less about the “will of the people.” Funny, he seemed to think it was important that the candidates should be chosen by we the people, not the Washington Establishment, as you can hear in the beginning in his speech below. Lyin’ Ted wouldn’t flip flop, would he?

The “tabloid” National Enquirer keeps running little pieces on Cruz, so they’re not backing down. i’ve seen things about the “DC Madam” that which sometimes and sometimes does not link to Cruz. I’m not saying it’s true, but it keeps showing up – i.e. “bubbling to the surface” – here and there. It doesn’t seem to be going away and keeps showing up, here and there.

Trump needs to elaborate on the following: Cruz to end social security; hard earn Dollars people were forced to pay into the system, social security will be over under Cruz.; no more food stamps under Cruz, when so many families will be in desperate need due to lose of income of jobs going overseas. Cruz has no intentions of bringing back jobs to this Country and pointing fingers that Trump will not bring back jobs. Since Cruz does not has knowledge on this matter, therefore, Cruz wants everyone to believe Trump as well can not bring back jobs. Cruz not capable to bring back jobs, and Cruz will not try to bring back jobs because he works for the Establishment; Elaborate on Cruz supports of the Pacific Trade Deal that will open up more jobs going overseas than NAFTA; people needs to know that Cruz has no knowledge on how to fix the economy. This is why Cruz gives no resolutions when it comes to fixing the economy. Cruz does not know what it takes to fix the economy. Cruz will not build a wall because he is for amnesty. Cruz has not defined on how he will go about building a wall. Remind voters on Cruz out rightly stole votes from other candidates, and how corruption continues to be a part of Cruz through the Super Pac.Trump must begin to drill these messages in voters heads, “PERSISTENTLY,” to the point of fear; to convey that Cruz is as stupid as everyone else on Capitol Hill. It is fearful when the working class has everything to lose under Cruz.

Precisely. And by the Levin standard, as I’ve stated elsewhere, a large portion of Vietnam, the Philippines, and even the EU would be eligible. Think of all the lonely service men that have been in those places for many years and several wars. If they fathered a child, according to Levin that child is a NBC. But wait, there’s more (Myrrh! still cracks me up). Being as the babies are NBC’s, all their children are as well. Let this propagate out several generations and we LITERALLY have a world of options for who could be POTUS. Just find a few strands of US DNA and you are good to go, apparently.

Its before the State, its not in a “courtroom”. He has to prove he can “check” the box. All Ted has to do is provide proof. So far he hasn’t even proved he is a “naturalized” citizen. Those are the papers he is hiding. Then we move on to natural born.

            • mcfyre2012 says:

When the Constitution was written, it was not vague at all. It was taken from Vattel’s “Law of Nations.” The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.

The SCOTUS has even cited that definition in eight cases in the past 200 years.

The only thing that makes it vague is the obfuscation of some modern-day lawyers/politicians…with the aid of a complicit media.

              Liked by 5 people

              • Yes, however where they were born is not of significance. Its if both parents are citizens, not the location. If the child was conceived by a male and female who held American Citizenship, then the child was “natural” born. Location is not part of the reasoning of Vattel.

those by who had citizenship by naturalization were not natural born. Only the second generation were.

This is also means all those anchor babies plopped in by immigrants are not natural Born, they can’t hold office. Think about that.

Ted Cruz’s father was not a Citizen, case close according to Vattel;s Laws of Nation’s.

The other side counters by saying the forefathers used Blackstones definition. This is really a stretch and is considered highly unlikely.

papers and writing are used to present the case for Vattel. thomas Jefferson’s reasoning is used in his writing on citizenship of VA. Clear as day, Vattel’s Law of Nation’s is the basis.

We need fast action now and I see nothing forming.

Pastor Jeffress, as a suggestion, and others should be working to bring all Christians to work on this now.
As a public education group and political action group and mammoth weight of moral indignation, it could change the course of the process immediately.

The belief in Christ is all that matters for membership. It isn’t about dogma or theocracy. It is about social influence on government. It is a counterweight to the evils we see thrust upon us.

Pastors have a great deal of influence on their congregations. (Look at the Pope, who advocates open borders.) If those pastors don’t know all the negatives about Cruz, then many in their congregations will be encouraged to vote for the “Christian,” with no other major criteria; case closed. They were as nasty and vociferous as anyone out there in their hatred of Trump because he has been married multiple times. One said that Trump would mean ‘lashes on the back of our country as he drives us to Baal”. You think that person is going to come together with others?

There is as much nuttiness in the Christian community as there is anywhere else, I’m sorry to say. Many believe anything Cruz says or does because they have bought into all the Elmer Gantry preaching of both Cruz and his father. I figure that being a Christian doesn’t mean I have to be gullible! “Be as shrewd as snakes…” Matthew 10:16

Sorry you have such Facebook troubles, New Vulgarian. If any are still reading you, on the subject of multiple marriages, you might bring up:
John Hagee, pastor of mega church Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, cheated on first wife while a pastor and married his mistress.
Hal Lindsey, prophecy superstar with Christian TV show and multiple bestsellers (Late Great Planet Earth, etc.), on his FOURTH marriage.
Steven Arterburn, founder of Christian counseling radio and TV conglomerate New Life Live MInistries, Every Man’s Battle, and founder of Women of Faith conferences which travel the country, on his third marriage.
While not a Christian, Dennis Prager, “conservative” Jewish radio host, on his third marriage.
The difference between these men and Trump is that they make money off of CHRISTIANS and, in the case of Arterburn, Hagee, and Prager, give out MARITAL ADVICE professionally.

Respectfully, none of those examples of fallen Christian leaders are relevant. The problem I see is that Cruz supporters want to hold Trump to the standard of a born-again, evangelical believer, when it certainly appears to me that Trump has not yet known that experience. What he does profess is his isn mainline serious faith and what I call a “respect for the things of God”. This is something God can build in in Trump, and I guarantee he is currently having more contact with born-again evangelical Christians than he has ever had. The last reports of adultery I recall with him were in the early 1990s, and by all reports he has a happy, faithful marriage with Melania. I have spend decades as part of the bona fide “religious right”, both personally, professionally and politically. Today, I am disgusted with the nasty, pharasaical attitude displayed by many of them in their Jonestown-style Cruz fervor.

When Mr. Trump said he had a “great relationship with God” I did not doubt him. On one of his interviews, he promised a book about everything after his 8 yr term. I anticipate it could be a very large volume. I want so much for everyone in the world, we all have so much to offer at this point in time.

People should be thinking more about Cruz because he has preached in front of a congregation and should now be held to a stricter standard because he is now a teacher, not just a candidate. The Bible also says that judgement begins with the house of God and that we are not to associate with other believers who are acting in immoral ways. I fully agree that people want to hold Donald Trump to an evangelical standard when we actually should hold Ted Cruz to the higher standard because he says he is a believer. We should not hold unbelievers to a stricter standard than other believers. Another thing you can say is that the Bible does not say not to associate with unbelievers but it does say that believers who are continually willfully sinning are people with whom we should not associate. Verses you can use are 1 Corinthians 5:1-13, 1 Peter 4:17, and James 3:1.

Tell them the media is owned by Wall Street and dispenses political gossip to provoke readers to watch their news like soaps.

Sometimes, I try to say, oh, you’ve been drinking the gossipy network news kool ade. I don’t attempt to correct them on Trump except to undermine the source of their false and rabid opinions. It’s a slow progress but people have to start doubting the media and then they research. Some eventually get it, others never will because of virtue-signalling. The media feeds their ego. But we have to keep trying.

This is Trump’s ground game – Us. It’s so importannt. Phone calls are good but ground game by us is the other half. Ground game works with phone calls to provide more information to voters once they start questioning their votes for Lyin’Ted and MickeyMouseKasich.

I had a bad experience while trying to visit this site while eating breakfast at a national chain with free Wi-Fi. I kept being redirected to Google when trying to access the site. I rarely use their link because if I’ve been told they bill subscribers for each click, so I cut and paste, when I don’t have a bookmark.

I had to type in the whole domain name, to the last letter, to get here, and then I kept getting redirected to other “conservative” sites once I was on site. Has anyone else noticed this?
I’m at home on my PC now I get flagged every time I open the site with a security certificate issue from Norton. This just started today, although I wasn’t on the net after I heard Savage on the radio mention CTH yesterday.

I am not the paranoid type, but if I was, I think it’s kind of cool. Maybe this could be the start on a new thing…maybe they’ll stop sending the obnoxious fund raising e-mails from Team Cruz.

Sorry Team Cruz, I have no guilt trip from not sending you cash…you got cash from me early on, but once exposed, FO. Then again, e-mails are cheap, and sadly, you can’t reply to them

Beyond 2016, we do you guys and gals think our political system is headed?

It seems to me that there are irrevocable fractures in the GOP (Bushism versus Trumpism) and the DNC (Democratic Socialism versus Clintonism).

I argued with my friends months ago that Trump was running a 3rd Party candidacy within the framework of a hostile GOP. Subsequent events have proven that really is the case. His brand of economic nationalism/non-interventionism is counter to the corrupt GOP establishment. And I find it hard to believe that that infrastructure can be reformed and converted. The people running the system are simply too corrupt.

Look at the delegate games going on now. It’s sickening. It’s undemocratic. It’s corrupt. We need to move beyond this. Party should never be more important than country. We’re in a system now where these corrupt officials only think about their own status within the Party. They are revolting.

Regardless of whether Trump wins or loses, he is 69 years old. Hopefully we have eight outstanding years with him as President, but to me, the GOP is dead. It’s as anti-American, anti-democratic, crony capitalistic as the increasingly unhinged Left.

HOWEVER … after FL, and despite Gaysick’s OH win, Cruz’s remaining in the race became morally unjustifiable. Even without Gaysick, who has never indicated any willingness to get out himself (he, too, is a huge POS – and ideologically much worse than Cruz), Cruz’s chances of winning the 1237 delegates and thus nomination pre-convention were vanishingly small – virtually impossible.

OTOH … Trump’s chances were overwhelming! If Cruz had recognized that he had no chance of winning the GOP nod before the convention; if he realized that, by that point, ONLY Trump could possibly beat Hillary (Gaysick may poll better against Hillary, but many Trump supporters will simply refrain from voting if Trump is denied the nomination); if he further put NATION ahead of AMBITION, and understood that ONLY a Trump Presidency might actually deport the illegal aliens (and that preventing them from becoming citizens is the single most important issue of our time) .. he would have gracefully bowed out of the race (having had the second best showing, thereby massively boosting his national name ID and future political donor networks), and loudly endorsed Trump for President.

Doing that would have secured Trump the 1237 delegates and thus nomination, thereby sparing the party from a nasty convention brawl, and possibly preventing a Third Obama Term as well as giving us the best chance of actually expatriating the illegal aliens. This in turn would have given America a chance of saving itself, and restoring the Constitution and capitalist prosperity.

Instead, Greaseball Ted puts himself first (though only in his own inferior mind: doing as I suggested above would have been the vastly more intelligent thing for him, even based solely on his own greedy self-interest). He will not win the 1237, nor will the RINO Establishment anoint him the victor on a second convention ballot.

He will merely have done the RINOs’ dirty work of stopping the Trump/America First juggernaut – which is very likely the LAST CHANCE the country has to save itself —>> TO PREVENT OUR FULL ABSORPTION INTO THE DECIVILIZATION OF THE THIRD WORLD. Does (hahaheehee) “brilliant” Ted grasp any of this??!! Does he care??!!

Cruz is part of the “RINO Fixski”. He’s another Establishment waterboy.

Cruz is either an intellectual second-rater, or a moral fifth-rater. Let’s make sure he’s done (“… hey hey, Ted, good BYEEEEEE …””).

He can’t possibly have country patriotism because he wasn’t born here and his parents are loyal to other countries. None of what he is doing comes from his heart. At least not a loving heart.

Cruz voters are so damned ignorant it really is pitiful. There is no way in heII that all this establishment money is being used for anything more than to derail Trump. Cruz will NEVER have the backing and support of the GOPe. The GOPe is willing to lose the election in order to keep their corrupt system in place.
It is easy to buy the likes of Glenn Deck, Mark Levin and Erick Erickson. They have been FAKE TEA PARTY from day one and only in it for the money. They would much rather see Clinton win because they sell division and hate. They would be relegated to 3rd. rate commentators if America was great again. When Trump wins, their gravy train will crash and burn.
