Iran Humiliates U.S. – President Obama Apologizes and Thanks Them – ISIS To Use Footage In Next Propaganda Effort…

Following the arrest and detention of ten U.S. military sailors in the Persian Gulf, Iran releases a propaganda video showing our soldiers humiliated and on their knees.  The video is being broadcast through out Iran and the larger Middle-East with the message of how the Iranian Revolutionary Guard made the U.S. military cower.

Hillary Clinton and President Obama have both (falsely) stated that ISIS uses video of republican candidates to generate recruitment efforts for radical jihad.  What exactly do you think the Islamic recruitment value is for footage of U.S. military cowering?

(two videos follow BBC outlineThe US has apologised to Iran after 10 American sailors were arrested for entering Iranian waters, the commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards naval forces has said.

General Ali Fadavi accused those detained of “unprofessional” acts.  But he suggested the group, who are being held by the guards, could be released soon.

The incident comes at a sensitive time, as the US and Iran try to implement the deal on Iran’s nuclear activities.  US Secretary of State John Kerry has contacted Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif over the incident.

Giving his assessment of the talks, Gen Fadavi said “Mr Zarif had a firm stance, saying that they were in our territorial waters and should not have been, and saying that they [the US] should apologise”.

“This has been done and it will not take long, and the naval force, according to its hierarchy, will act immediately upon the orders it receives,” he added. (read more)

    What is that green stuff?

Mr.Qbinky, quite the military junkie and historian, suspects this was a set up from the start. Possibly a transfer of information on those computers that were confiscated? Regardless, something is not right. I hope President Trump gets to the bottom of this.

Iran jumped on them. Any computers or data they had should have been thrown over the side LONG before the Iranians got close.

What confuses me is the disabled boat deal. One breaks down, the other tows it.

      So something else is afoot.

I agree, Arch. Somethin’ real smelly….

This guy has a theory (MaryfromMarin posted this on today’s Open Thread)…

I rarely pull out my dusty old trident, but in this case, here goes. I was a Navy SEAL officer in the 1980s, and this kind of operation (transiting small boats in foreign waters) was our bread and butter. Today, these boats both not only had radar, but multiple GPS devices, including chart plotters that place your boat’s icon right on the chart. The claim by Iran that the USN boats “strayed into Iranian waters” is complete bull$#it.

For an open-water transit between nations, the course is studied and planned in advance by the leaders of the Riverine Squadron, with specific attention given to staying wide and clear of any hostile nation’s claimed territorial waters. The boats are given a complete mechanical check before departure, and they have sufficient fuel to accomplish their mission plus extra. If, for some unexplainable and rare circumstance one boat broke down, the other would tow it, that’s why two boats go on these trips and not one! It’s called “self-rescue” and it’s SOP.

This entire situation is in my area of expertise. I can state with complete confidence that both Iran and our own State Department are lying. The boats did not enter Iranian waters. They were overtaken in international waters by Iranian patrol boats that were so superior in both speed and firepower that it became a “hands up!” situation, with automatic cannons in the 40mm to 76mm range pointed at them point-blank. Surrender, hands up, or be blown out of the water. I assume that the Iranians had an English speaker on a loudspeaker to make the demand. This takedown was no accident or coincidence, it was a planned slap across America’s face.

Just watch. The released sailors will be ordered not to say a word about the incident, and the Iranians will have taken every GPS device, chart-plotter etc off the boats, so that we will not be able to prove where our boats were taken.

The “strayed into Iranian waters” story being put out by Iran and our groveling and appeasing State Dept. is utter and complete BS from one end to the other.

This whole thing makes no sense –

Gohmert says that Kerry knew about the boats in distress, and inexplicably called Iran to help, not our own U.S. Navy.

Iran’s version of “help” is to arrest our sailors, take them captive, confiscate their boats, weapons, passports (why did they have those?), boots, etc… and throw a Muslim headscarf over our female sailor.

The White House says, “We do not see this as hostile intent”.

“IRAN WARNS US OF WAR – Missiles Are Locked on US Aircraft Carrier USS Truman”

    Iranian Fars News reported:

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi blamed the US navy for its excited and unprofessional moves after Iran arrested 10 US marines for trespassing on its territorial waters, warning that his forces’ coast-to-sea missiles were awaiting orders to hit the American aircraft carrier deployed in the region.
The IRGC seized two US Navy boats on Tuesday and detained them on Iran’s Farsi Island in the Persian Gulf. Nine men and one woman arrived in Iran’s territorial waters in the Persian Gulf illegally when they were captured by the IRGC Navy.

What are “excited and unprofessional moves”?

And we’re releasing $150 billion dollars to this government? Within days, evidently – thanks to Paul Ryan.

All of this, because John Kerry called Iran for help in the first place, instead of the USA. Why? To hide something?

Just like Benghazi…They don’t want the U.S. military to help, because they’re up to no good!

Boy I’m really shaking my head at everyone AND everyone. It’s like everyone is a bloodthirsty vampire just BEGGING for any reason or excuse to start a war – including creating one Rambo style.

We even have a representative politicking on this – thinking the voters don’t understand that when a line is crossed – it’s a diplomatic matter. If a boat can’t get back out under its own power – State has to make a phone call…

We even have a self-professed expert chiming in and pimping his own blog/website while doing so.

Folks, get your heads on straight, and look at this from another angle:

Folks are retiring from the Navy in droves. Reason I’m given when I ask the few I know: “The Navy has changed…”

( I assume you’re intelligent and can interpret what that means…else spend some time at )

The Navy like all the other branches has become so reliant on the latest and greatest digital technology that it has “forgotten” how to operate without. Last time I checked, the Navy only has a handful of people certified for Celestial Navigation. It is a problem the Navy brass and Navy schools have acknowledged.

^ That begs the question: “Did someone forget to stow a line on the boats. Can they tie a knot?”

All boats in a fleet down to even these “river craft” or “patrol boats” are tracked fleet wide. The personnel of the big boats know where everyone else is. They knew these boats were off course. The people on the boats knew the safe zones they could utilize should they run into trouble – communicated before they departed and very likely while they were in trouble.

This event took place not on open seas, but in a narrow confined geographical area that is very heavily regulated Internationally and locally. Iran, like all parties in this region walks a tightrope when protecting its territory, access and navigational rights. it’s a powder keg one bullet away from blowing up. Unless you really want a shooting war, your diplomats are ready to issue an apology when someone screws up – no matter how funny, stupid, trivial or serious the event may appear.

Morale comes from basically 5 areas for people in the military.

    a. Your family.
    b. Your buddies.
    c. Your commanding officers.
    d. Your politicians.
    e. The equipment and training of the service you are in.

Most servicemen can count on family and buddies. Commanding officers? 50/50? Politicians? Ugh…that’s been a sore point from a morale standpoint for decades. That’s another whole discussion BUT possibly very relevant here. I’ll get to that in a moment.

Equipment and training? Let’s just say that the folks I’ve talked to have repeatedly pointed out equipment standards slipping. But even worse? The training. I’m being told that today’s sailors training wise is just getting difficult to manage. Politically correctness, reading, writing, and comprehension and math skills…the sense of entitlement…combined with lower training standards in whole or in part…combined with the continuing drug problem has given some PO’s more grey hairs than they planned for retirement.

Take a close look at all the photos I’ve seen. Look at each sailor….their appearance, their body language. Look at the appearance and body language of the female in each photo – even when treated well and served a nice multi-course meal by the Iranians. Note how even a few of the male sailors have that look on their face as though a comedy sketch has played out before them while being taken into custody and later.

What I’m suggesting here is that what we’ve seen here is a total breakdown of C, D and E. That the breakdown was so complete that it could only point back to the leadership at the very top – the Secretary of the Navy and the POTUS – Barrack Hussein Obama.

John Kerry moved quickly to the apology route to cover for, kiss and save Obama’s ass.

    Thanks for reading…

  8. President Elect Trump should make his opening statement tonight something like this:
This is a message to the American people and to all of the countries on this planet. Once I become President, this will never happen again. I want everyone to know that in the event that this should happen whoever gave the authority to apprehend our service men and put them on their knees should not sleep well that night. Because they will not see the sun come up tomorrow. No matter who it is and no matter where they sleep on this planet, they, their families, and a whole lot of people in their country will DIE tonight. Thank you and I J Donald Trump approve this message.
