Saw this as it happened. Cuomo is so out of his league it’s laughable.

I can’t wait for the chatter to move away from, “Monica” and “cheating on his wife, Shillary was a victim,” to “numerous allegations of sexual assault!”

That would be the Political Equiv of a Noble Prize in Bill’s Circles. The Hard core Hillary bafoons, would just rally around her more – they love faux-victims, even if they’re the actual perpetrator.

It would, however, knock a ton of voters off the fence. One can hope!

I love Mr. Trump. However, I do not believe he handled the discussion about Lewinsky/Impeachment very well. When asked about why he opposed Impeachment, his answer was self-serving saying he had to get along with everybody. What I believe he should have said is that Impeachment tears the country apart and, had the Republicas not impeached Clinton, they would have been more likely to institute Impeachment proceedings against Obama for REAL Constitutional violations. Most people forget that the impeachment of Clinton was for lying under oath. Then he should have proceed to talk about all the impeachable offences of Obama. He could also have stated that there’s a big difference between the consensual affair with Lewinsky and the actual sexual assaults of Juanita Broderick, Kathleen Wiley and Paula Jones, which have been extensively documented.

Missed opportunities here in my opinion.

The whole impeachment was a proxy for ‘getting’ Bill on this when they couldn’t get him (or didn’t want to) for Loral, Chinagate, etc, etc. Additionally, listen to Christopher Hitchens: Trent Lott didn’t go hard for what he should have. Why not? My guess is some of those files Hillary was holding.

To get into all of the reasons why the impeachment was not worthy would take hours. This is a non-issue in the scheme of things. Why would you want more red herrings to detract from the real issue: so called woman’s advocate Hillary, ENABLED her sexual predator husband.

        • PatriotKate says:

That’s exactly my point. Trump missed an opportunity to talk about the real issue with Clinton being a sexual PREDATOR and his missed opportunity of pointing out that Hillary was the henchwoman on his behalf going after his accusers. And, yes there were lots of other reasons for Impeachment. As it turned out, it made the Republicans look bad and the whole country believed that he was impeached over a personal issue, his other crimes ignored. It meant they could not do it again without the same result. Except that this time, there is such a YUGE list of Constitutional violations and we citizens are frustrated O cannot be removed from office.

Yes, the Hillary henchwoman aspect is what must be emphasized. i can only believe that Trump will hold that ammo for another time, another venue, when it will really hurt her with the largest number of people… Expose her in a way she can’t recover from. Timing and venue is everything with this and out short attention-span electorate.

As someone who was no fan of Bill Clinton, by the time that whole sordid episode was over with, I was just as mad at the Republicans. I’m no prude, but half of them can’t keep their own pants zipped and then to have to listen to stories about Clinton’s splooge on Monica’s dress, cigars, blow jobs in the Oval Office, etc. on the radio every day disgusted me. I was just as disgusted at Republicans for putting us through that as I was disgusted at Slick Willie. They should have let it go.

I also wondered about children and old ladies (not to mention myself) being forced to listen to this stuff and by the end of this ordeal was not very happy with Republicans for taking us down that road. Yeah, he lied about an affair. Big deal.

At the time of the Lewinsky “affair” she was a 22 year old White House intern, Bill was 52 and her boss. Chelsea, his daughter was 18. The audacity of power doesn’t cover this breach of morality. The age of Monica, only 4 years older than his daughter, illuminates his disrespect for women and highlights his sexual predator tendencies. If she had been my daughter, he would have “qualified” for Glamour Woman of the Year.

Yeah, yeah, he should had enough discipline to say no, but we all lack discipline for exercise, flossing, housework and a bunch of other things.

Had he, obama, not sworn his undying allegiance and soul to the uniparty, ( or had they not totally trusted that he was back on the plantation ), then they would have crushed him and exalted Mittens.

Private sales can be conducted at gun shows in some states. Private sales do not require a background check in some states. Thus, the private sales at gun shows don’t have background checks. Every gun show I’ve been to is crawling with police, guns brought in for sale or trade must be unloaded and not concealed. The police check every purse and bag and gun upon entry. I doubt a criminal is buying a gun, even through private sale, at a gun show!

For some reason “gun show loophole” is being used for private sale. As if a black market gun dealer is going to follow the law and get a background check on the person he’s selling to.

I have gotten guns at yard sales, and they will soon be “gun shows.” And another thing Trump seems, emphasize “seems” since it has happened so often and he saves at the end, he seems to be setting himself up on the mental health by saying it is the real problem. Because along with the “gun shows” they will be making it easy to confiscate guns from people with “mental health issues” on complaint from whomever. That ironically leads us back to the bad old days when people could be committed to asylums on the say-so of relatives (who may have been after the cash).

I wish Trump would say, the reason why we have a system of separation of powers is so one branch can’t act tyrannically. So rather than Obama signing Executive Actions, take his case to the legislative branch, or to the people, and make his case. If he thinks so strongly, as Cuomo says, about this subject of gun control, then make his case. But that is the problem. If he tries to make his case for gun control being the root of the problem, or needing even more laws, then he has to accept the possibility that he could be wrong. That the congress, or the people, will disapprove, or prove him wrong. So to avoid the possibility, he acts unilaterally, signing Executive Actions. And this is no different than Hillary not taking the question from Ms. O’Brien about rape allegations regarding Bill Clinton. And it isn’t about Bill’s “sex life” as Cuomo claims, unless we can talk about Bill Cosby with the same terms, “sex life”. Feel comfortable with that? I don’t think so. So the reason Hillary can’t take the question, if she is really so solid with her position, is that once people hear the arguments made, her illusion dissolves like the wicked witch having water thrown on her. Hillary did everything to destroy Bill’s rape victims. She can’t do anything with that but run away, so she avoids it by not taking the question. And Obama can’t make the case that guns are the problem when all the evidence shows that guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens reduces crimes and protects people, and all his mindset has done is to aid the criminals and jeopardize the law-abiding people that he supposedly represents as POTUS.
