Say What? – Yes Alice, Deray McKesson Will Be Teaching at Yale…

Yes, THAT Deray McKesson…

deray and farrakhanderay mckesson 4

(Via Campus Reform) Deray McKesson, one of the most vocal leaders of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, will be teaching a one credit course at Yale Divinity School this fall as a guest lecturer.

McKesson, whom the university describes as a “civil rights activist and social media leader” will teach a course titled “Transformational Leadership in the #BlackLivesMatter Movement,” as part of Yale Divinity School’s “ Transformational Leadership for Church and Society” program.

“A young leader of the Black Lives Matter Movement,” a syllabus for the course reads, “DeRay McKesson will present case studies about the work of organizing, public advocacy, civil disobedience, and social change, through both Leadership of Presence, and Leadership in the Social Media.”

Reading material for the course will consist of Ta-Nehisi Coates’s book Between the World and Me, a Huffington Post article titled “How The Black Lives Matter Movement Changed the Church,” author Derrick Bell’s book Silent Covenants: Brown v. Board of Education and the Unfilled Hopes for Racial Reform, Leah Gunning Francis’ book Ferguson & Faith: Sparking Leadership and Awakening Community, and a New York Times article titled “Our Demand Is Simple: Stop Killing Us.”

McKesson last worked in Human Resources for the Minneapolis public school system before becoming a self-described civil rights activist with the Black Lives Matter movement.  (read more)

Yale officially jumped the shark….Though I think this won’t happen. Yale will be deluged by a fair amount of alumni that will probably threaten to withhold their donations if McKesson gets to teach is course there. Even liberal rich folks have limitations on their tolerance of certain social justice clowns.

I think it will happen. The entire Ivy League is trying to “out-diversify” the rest of academia right now. It’s horrifying, but I see a lot of Marxist terminology flying around now in their emails, press releases, and course literature. I actually got a course offering from one school to go to Cuba, before the ink was dry on Obama’s deal with Castro. It was ridiculous – mostly a scam for money with a ludicrous tuition fee, but I imagine the chance to pick up fresh cigars won’t be resisted by those who sign up without thinking about the price tag. (And the school was not Brown or Columbia!)

      • Wow… that ever the truth about the Ivy’s! I graduated from Wellesley over 10 years ago and I belonged to that rarest of rare groups on campus—the Conservatives! It wasn’t that most of the radical, moonbat, hairy-pitted girls came from liberal homes (many didn’t)~ it was the overriding lib “culture” of the school that pulled them in. After I left, it apparently got even worse with the Obama-crazed loons swarming the place. I understand some mighty feuds and cat-fights developed in the dorms…..yikes! It wasn’t until I went to grad school in good ‘ol Tejas that I realized just how many outstanding Conservative Christians could exist at one college! AND—many even owned guns and supported 2A like I did. 🙌💡 Of course… was TCU……much better fit for me…..and naturally more Conservative Christians there! But it was like night and day……
(singing “Mmmm…..God Bless Texas!” 🎶🎸). I no longer live in Ft. Worth but wow I met some great folks down there! (Not totally dissing Wellesley…..I got a great education on their dime and got some dear “sisters” along the way). And…Yale?? What a shyte move to affiliate with racist cop-basher Deray. 😬

I did the same thing Josie. Knew that I only had one shot at being young and I was darn sure going to spend it at a big sun drenched Southern university full of academia AND fun.

By age 17 I had had enough of the Sylvia Plath angst of the girls and fey apologetic weenie-dom of the boys at my uber liberal (tiny, private) high school.

Their only “fun” was getting high. Everything else was a grave slag. They wept and wrung their hands over the Third World, every black person who ever lived, animals raised for the table, guns, football (the violence and the sexual symbology, man), Indians, women who were not “enlightened” like their teenage selves, personal grooming of most kinds, (other apes don’t scrape their fur off. Not natural ) and any religion not Buddhism.

You start tilting at windmills with enough ferocity at 16 and by your golden years you become a vapid husk, parroting the words you memorized with glee in the 60’s. (See Sanders, Bernie).

But many young things of very comfortable upbringing (I was assuredly not one; I rode into private school on a full scholarship and one pair of leaky earth shoes) sit in awe of the Derays of the world. Hang on his every word, applaud his “bravery,” weep at his stories of mom’s food stamps and uncle joe’s time in the penitentiary and the time a Target security followed him around Electronics.

It is a false rapture; a type of immersed empathy (read: pity) that they could not muster for a wounded vet, an elderly white man battling cancer, or a battered wife who attends the Baptist church and had five kids by choice.

It is particular, PC victim porn, and many of the elite boys and girls of Yale (and Berkeley and the Seven Sisters, and etc) eat it up like soup. Let me kneel before the pitiful keening of this poor black man so I can hit the mall guilt free later on. I did my part. I cried for the ghetto kids. Now I need new ski boots.

Bravo! You nailed it! Awesome response, thank you.
Funny thing… I’ve received over a dozen “Save the date” cards and wedding invites from my TCU friends lately and will serve as a Bridesmaid for 2 of them.
As far as the Wellesley sisterhood goes, however–just one invite has graced my mailbox. LOL! “But Mom! I can’t invite a (gasp) CONSERVATIVE to my wedding!” 😊
Needless to say, I’m packing for Texas….

She hurled insults at some passers-by, made friends with others and used the street for her bathroom. She lectured at Harvard Law School. The skool is still in business and has not been laughed out of the U.S. The schools also have extensive rap “music” programs. This is what a myriad died for.

    2) Consider this and let me know if I am wrong. He says crap like “we must kill 56 whites” blah blah blah and NOBODY CARES….nobody raises a stink; nobody bats and eye — which really just proves to me that most white people are simply IGNORING the black people…

The ages of New Haven’s residents are 25.4% under the age of 18, 16.4% from 18 to 24, 31.2% from 25 to 44, 16.7% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age is 29 years, which is significantly lower than the national average….

The median income for a household in the city is $29,604, and the median income for a family is $35,950. Median income for males is $33,605, compared with $28,424 for females. The per capita income for the city is $16,393….,_Connecticut#Demographics

I came across a very good description of how the long march of entryism works:
“This concept is why a small number of schools can remake the entire educational and judicial institution of 300 million people. Probably 150 law professors (those at the best 5 or so) educate the majority of law professors and federal judges throughout the country. Control those 5 schools, and you control the judiciary for everyone in the United States (and, as mentioned, this is how academia was remade as well). 25 mentors from a Harvard professor/law professor go on to teach at 25 schools. 25 mentors from Iowa State go on to be marginally- or un-employed.”

Someone should pass out PB&J sammies and white bread for extra credit.

    • Judgy says:

Do you mention the PB& J’s specifically because they are RACIST??

There’s something about “Food-al Racism” allegations in the ever-increasing Official Collection of Perceived Racial Offenses that PARTICULARLY cracks me up. Not that there was much funny about aggrieved on-air Virginia T.V. Reporter-Killer, Vester Flanagan, but sometimes you’ve GOTTA look for the laugh. The fact that Vester complained to HR that a watermelon someone had brought to work to share was “being strategically placed around the office”, and was “disappearing, then reappearing”, and that that meant people were acting out racially AGAINST HIM speaks volumes about the level of utter lunacy we’ve come to. (He also reportedly claimed that his victim, Alison Parks, saying something as innocuous as “We’ll be reporting out in the field” was meant as a deliberate slam against him…….meant to bring up his ancestral “sense memory” of slaving away, out in the COTTON FIELDS, or something).

It’s so ludicrous, it’s laughable–but then again, is it really? SOMEBODY got to Vester, and taught him how to think that way. Somebody who is likely a LOT like De Ray.

I hope against hope that maybe THE PARENTS–white, Asian, and yes, black–will hear of this and make it clear that, even as crazy-stupid as almost ALL of the “prestigious” colleges have become, that they still draw a line at PAYING HUGE FEES to have their offspring lectured at by openly racist criminals who openly advocate Killing White People, and who assert that it is supposedly THE COPS who are the “real” thugs.

How many De Ray’s does it take to make one Vester Flanagan? Or one Christopher Dorner? Or any other disturbed young black male who decides to “make things right” by “pinning some wings on some pigs”??

I’ve changed my mind from my earlier post–I DON’T want De Ray to have such a “legit” forum in which to reveal his dangerous mindset……even if it very well COULD expose him as the evil, cowardly, opportunistic manipulator that he is.

His “mindset” is actually FAR too dangerous.

How does Yale find that DeRay McKesson is qualified to teach a course on “Transformational leadership in the #BlackLivesMatter movement”? He wasn’t on the “front lines” of the protests. He sat safely in the lobby of the McDonald’s in Ferguson and tweeted his impressions and feelings about what was happening blocks away. Yes. he was invited to the White House, but it’s already been proven that occupying the White House is no guarantee of “leadership”, let alone simply visiting there. It most likely means he is a hand-picked government “plant”.. passing information to the BLM leaders and other information back to the government.

I have spoken to a number of peer aged Yale graduates as well as parents of recent Yale graduates, they are mortified, embarrassed and pizzed. Someone said above, Yale has jumped the shark much like Harvard did last year when it proposed sponsoring a black satanic mass event at a Catholic church (later cancelled.)
Conservatives need to take more interest in what the liberal stronghold has done to these once prestigious institutions like Yale and Harvard and all schools in general. These are our children they are indictocurating, much like Hitler once did. The men that originally built up these amazing opportunities of academia that produced leaders in every cornerstone of vocation must truly be rolling in their graves. I pray Trump sets his laser sights on this travesty and fight back as he has so vocally done for other issues.

I don’t take this too seriously, Yale’s also the home of the elitist Skull and Crossbones, among others, and I doubt very seriously of the members look upon the BLM (no, not Bureau of Land Management) as much more than a distraction as they sip expensive scotch from their expensive snifters. The regents who make these decisions probably have a large dose of noblesse oblige in their choices of divertissements to feed the rabble attendees, I doubt seriously if many, if any, of future national/international power players attend these upscale clown courses to be educated or swayed.
There are probably some students who are young enough to be embarrassed by their parent’s accomplishments and wealth, and never having had to break a sweat at anything harder than a few rounds of summer tennis of handling the ropes on their patents’ yachts, who’ll attend and feel a twinge of 2nd hand guilt but they’ve paid their tuition so who cares?
The poison ivy league schools have had a number of feckless counterculture lecturers over the years (look at the POtuS and the U of Chicago) as had my small Red State U. I always wondered if they actually converted the thinking processes of dedicated students or if the just took directionless fence-sitters looking for approval and lured them to the Dark Side with promises of positive strokes. The PISs (Poison ivy Schools set) has the money in trusts and the extra seats that the scholastically deserving but non-PC students could occupy, but likes to stuff the trendy and edgy into even though the scholarship jocks probably have a higher grad rate. How many of those radical attendees they brought in during the 60s and 70s are out there in influential spots right now? I don’t sweat a few outliers warming seats right now, like that mole you have the doc look at and he says: “Let’s just watch it and see what it does” most of the time it’s just useless tissue waiting to die off.

I dont think this will legitimize him, but rather have the opposite effect.

As time goes on and truths are revealed (DOJ found Mike Brown to be a good shoot etc) it hits to the core of their message.

They have become a joke on twitter, most “pro BLM” posts being newer ignorant users or diehards trying to sell the lie online.

The fact Deray refuses to recognize the truths has made him lose faith. Yeah he gets press, and he is using the reports who ‘lift him up’ as part of his ‘Syllabus’

The last one “Our Demand Is Simple: Stop Killing Us.” from the NYT is pathetic.

Read the comments, they go straight to “NYT picks” which are all pro Deray with not that high of likes, go to “Readers choices” .. HA HA HA the highest rated one ends in “Thanks NYT you are part of the problem”

So he and this “BM movement” (oops forgot the L) are just a big joke, and I reckon it will run out of steam after the election when Obama isnt there to give them backup anymore.

    • I will never stop killing them.

    • Judgy says:

With regard to the outright deceptive, and unhelpfully overly simplistic demand of “Stop Killing Us”, I’m reminded of Saddam Hussein’s defiant reply to George W. in the buildup to the war in Iraq. I thought it was probably the funniest thing he ever said.

Bush allegedly said “We’re giving you a warning, a chance. You must leave Iraq, or we will MAKE you leave”.

      Saddam’s answer? “No. YOU leave”.

That same stupidly defiant lack of logic is echoed in the #BLM movement. They only want to talk about things as seen from THEIR myopic view, and refuse to accept even a modicum of responsibility (how about “Don’t fight arrest?”) in favor of blame, blame, blame, suffering, blame.

Even some of the Leftiest of the Lefties are growing tired of it.

So I REALLY hope that you’re right (and that De Ray doesn’t manage to “inspire” any more “piggy barbecues” in the interim). He’s ludicrous, but he’s like pablum for the already-aggrieved and violent types.

America’s Mayor Rudy G was on, and one of the things I found out was that we do not teach ANYTHING about 9/11 in our schools. However, curriculum has already been established for #BLM and Purple Penguins. It’s a sick, sad shape that our educational system is in.

    • Judgy says:

Wow, I didn’t know that. Then they could follow up by segueing into the “Bush Lied, People Died” stuff.

Your mentions of our current classroom stupidities made me think of something though. Doubtful this will come up, but I’d be curious as to how the “culturally sensitive” De Ray might handle an unruly, violent, strapping young male acting out in class…..?

Or if DE RAY acts out, would “Disparate Impact” mandates still apply??

I didn’t know it either and was stunned! It was a really good hearing held inside the 9/11 Museum. I’ve never seen anyone e allowed to talk as much as they let Rudy talk. It’s on C-Span if you want to check it out. Rudy is VERY against the Iran Deal!!!!!!!!

Personally I’m not wasting any time worrying about the crook DM. He’ll hoist his own petard. Yale got Grubered.

Yeah, I’ve been reading a lot of stuff like that lately which is what my comment above was born from……we just don’t know what lies may be told, what truths may be covered up that the future generations will swallow hook line and sinker because there will be no one to correct the lies, especially since it is being misrepresented now, in our faces, while we are still alive and know better. And we don’t seem to be able to do anything to stop it.

Right again, D. One SLIGHT sea-change that gives me a teeny-tiny bit of hope, is that I’ve noticed that people–on the Right, AND the Left–are starting to be far more unafraid of being called “racist”. (Well, except for the cowering & pandering GOPe crowd). That’s not occurring through much “activism”, or whatever, on OUR part though. No, the little darlings of the Perpetually Offended have achieved this all on their own, by constantly NEVER being satisfied with societal attempts of redress, and mostly by trying to mine entirely new grievances out of “Micro-Aggressions”, and “Cultural Appropriation”. People can only take so much COMPLETE nonsense.

Unfortunately, I think the whole “White Privilege” notion is still riding high. I did watch those vile MTV Video Awards (b/c I still work as a vocal coach, choreographer, and occasional entertainer; gotta keep up w/ the devolving! Actually, the reprehensively amoral and bellicose Nicki Minaj had a strong opening number, with EXCELLENT choreography. If she put some clothes on, and maybe didn’t try to start a girlfight over racial problems DURING the ceremony, she might have a longer career).

But I digress! My whole point in bringing up the spectre of MTV was that I was horrified to see their commercial for a fictitious, tongue-in-cheek company,, that gives false credence to every bit of racial “angst” that De Ray stands for. It’s supposedly a company where a minority can “hire” a nice, harmless-looking white person to, say……get them a cab, or rent or buy a house in their name. The most ridiculous scenario (which is tough to decide on) is one in which a white person is “hired” to go through all the interviews, etc. to get a JOB. When all preliminaries are taken care of, ostensibly the BLACK client/ new employee simply shows up for work, & everybody’s happy.

I mean, come ON! Have they not heard of AA, EEOC, racial quotas, Barack Obama, the legal changes of the 1960’s & beyond, and, I dunno……Jesse J. and Uncle Al?? I can see the not getting a cab thing, but hmmm, WHY might that be? Okay, I need to chill. It’s not a real company. But it IS a metaphor. A wrongheaded one, being used as slick propaganda. Most “good” parents don’t let their kids watch MTV anyway, but this will do NOTHING to help the screwed-up kids, nor to heal “race relations”.

Anyway, I digress again! My main point is that you are entirely correct, but all hope is not lost. People like De Ray are often their own worst enemy. Just like Zero, they do NOT know when to quit!

We’ve gotta get away from the “White Privilege” crap though. It’s being taught in SCHOOLS, just like #BLM mess is. Wow, talk about “Institutionalized Racism”!

Im curious to see how the grading between the black and white people play out. If your black your entitled to an “A”, if your white you can not possibly get an “A” because your not black. lol

Controversies and FTEs (Faculty Teaching Equivalents; aka: warm bodies with money). That’s how they roll. Remember, he will be the lowest level of instructor but he’ll rake it in–even better. For kicks someone interested should check the maximum enrollment in his course.

Let it go Jake; it’s a progressive university.

  27. Every time I think I have seen the defining proof of the collapse of the Republic, five minutes later I’m proved wrong ! This may be IT…..but, probably not….I know…..plenty more “turd polishing” to come. SD’s abandoned mine sounds sweeter by the hour!!!

How and why did members of that most dysfunctional of all demographics become a fetish?

If Yale did not already have low standards, it sure does now.

Correct me if I am wrong…..I understand that McKesson ( a professional social agitator, racist) is paid to travel to various cities to stir up racial tensions and even encourages rioting, death to Whites and police officers.
I also read he gets paid to endorse certain brands.

Well, I am going to go throw up now.
