Fifth Planned Parenthood Video Released – Offering Sales of “Intact Babies”…

It was suspected the undercover video’s contained discussion of Planned Parenthood discussing “fully intact fetuses”, which would be prima facie evidence of born alive infants. This disturbing aspect prompted a biotech company, Stem Express, to file a motion with a federal judge to block any further video release.

HOUSTON, Aug. 4–The fifth undercover video in the controversy over Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts shows the Director of Research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, advertising the Texas Planned Parenthood branch’s track record of fetal tissue sales, including its ability to deliver fully intact fetuses.

In the video, actors posing as representatives from a human biologics company meet with Farrell at the abortion-clinic headquarters of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in Houston to discuss a potential partnership to harvest fetal organs.

“Where we probably have an edge over other organizations, our organization has been doing research for many many years,” explains Farrell. When researchers need a specific part from the aborted fetus, Farrell says, “We bake that into our contract, and our protocol, that we follow this, so we deviate from our standard in order to do that.”

Asked specifically if this means Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast can change abortion procedures to supply intact fetal specimens, Farrell affirms, “Some of our doctors in the past have projects and they’re collecting the specimens, so they do it in a way that they get the best specimens, so I know it can happen.”

The investigators ask Farrell how she will frame a contract in which they pay a higher price for higher quality fetal body parts, and she replies, “We can work it out in the context of–obviously, the procedure itself is more complicated,” suggesting that “without having you cover the procedural cost” and paying for the abortion, the higher specimen price could be framed as “additional time, cost, administrative burden.”

Farrell finally summarizes her affiliate’s approach to fetal tissue payments: “If we alter our process, and we are able to obtain intact fetal cadavers, we can make it part of the budget that any dissections are this, and splitting the specimens into different shipments is this. It’s all just a matter of line items.”  (more)

Abortion is the 21st Century’s equivelence to slavery. Eventually – the nation will pay a heavy price. I feel like there are a lot more Eric Rudolphs out there. And, while I do not condone violence against PP- I am beginning to understand it.

  3. so uh….when does the video where PP reps callously discuss paying healthy prescreened women to purposefully become pregnant with the express intent and understanding that they will later abort the fetus at a stage predetermined and decided by PP in order to harvest y’know, “the best specimens”…..when is that video gonna be made available?

          • Wow. And I only got the sick idea from a commentator at Ace’s site.

Well, that and reductio ad absurdum. These videos are indeed illustrative of a trend, which is why I said “at this rate”, and the rate (of evil being revealed by these videos) is quite a steep downward curve. Pate is just the logical bottom of the curve, if they indeed have 5 more videos forthcoming.

But who knows? Maybe the bottom is even more evil than THAT idea.

I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it is even lower than my estimate.

Someone on this thread (think it is) spoke of the PP site that has all kinds of instructions for sexual activities for children that those of us here would not approve of. Sorry I would go grab but no time.
Matt Walsh had this handy little list from one of his posts.
The means is there – obviously the desire and intent.
Planned Parenthood’s primary source of revenue is abortion.
It receives half a billion dollars in tax money every year.
It rakes in ridiculous profits from abortion.
It pays its executive hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
Is known as the nation’s largest and richest abortion provider.
              Perform over 300,000 abortions annually.
A Planned Parenthood official went on the record to endorse post-birth abortions.
PP was caught covering up rape and child molestation.
              And sex trafficking.
Was exposed lying to women and manipulating them into getting abortions.
PP continues to commit massive financial fraud and abuse.

              • It’s about Genocide, rather than money.
Money is incentive to be sure, but this is about genocide.. PP became somewhat mainstream after ww2, this ideal was also preached to the KKK & neo nazi groups.. It’s a anti Christian agenda by design, it is evil. Eradication of what these people, deemed poor Quailty gene pools.. It’s evil..

In May, 2010, Planned Parenthood opened their SuperCenter in Houston…

–How long of a planning, permitting, and construction timeline would you need to have a grand opening on a totally new several-story building in a major city? Consider that the Mayor, seen cutting the ribbon, had the ability to shine favor on permits and such. A swift as three years, from speculating for land, to door opening?

My suspicion is this: PP dallied in this fetal-part-selling endeavor beginning in 2000, built it, found it to be possible, then laid the groundwork and possibly, themselves, BUILT StemExpress, found a short-haired, no-nonsense sociology major to head the place per PP planning, and now with a new, steady buyer, they did the math and figured out – if projections were accurate – that they could build the Houston SuperCenter – to feed the revenue beast StemExpress.

The rank-and-file clinic directors would have to be guarded from all of this.

This left the door open to local docs to set up arrangements with other fetal-tissue middlemen includnig the fake CMP firm.

If you go to the website of the Center for Medical Progress, in their documents section, they have several documents related to this issue. One doc is the 2000-2001 PP Annual Report. The CMP posted this because on page 8, they boast about a few new revenue streams, including this tissue donation effort – in their words:
Page 8: “Some National Office Activities:” PPFA national staff are recognized authorities on all aspects of reproductive health, from research and technology to patient care, public information, education, and heath care policy. To improve the quality of reproductive health care, last year we:
*coordinated 61 new affiliate services and approved a range of new medical services at the 2000 PPFA National Medical Committee meeting, including those related to menopause, domestic violence, HPV testing, and fetal tissue donation;”

If this story is true, then there should be some overlap in some individuals involved with StemExpress and PP. Possibly start-up loans from a friendly lender, webhosting coincidentally by the same web design and hosting firm, and so on.

As Abbie What’s-Her-Name has testified, this tissue-donation was lucrative. PP saw the next step: the SuperCenter in New Orleans, begun circa 2013.

So sorry for just saying “yes.” My brain wasn’t engaged at the time. 🙂 I just expounded a tad on this at another site. Here is what I basically wrote:
Listen/look near the 20minute mark of the video
Men suffer deeply by abortion of their own offspring, of their siblings and other. Men are innately wired to be protectors and providers. When they are prevented from their role, or abdicate their role, they suffer.

Society suffers, “When nearly half of the population has been touched by abortion, a depressed – emotionally, financially, and spiritually population becomes the norm. Physical difficulties for mom – subsequent pregnancies miscarried, low birth weight, inability to have future children, much more.”
Don’t know if it’s proper to quote ones self, but that’s what I just did. Plus, I’m not real proper and admit to not knowing protocol.

I would encourage everyone to read Dr. Bernard Nathanson’s memoir, The Hand of God: The Journey from Death to Life by the Abortion Doctor Who Changed His Mind.

He talks specifically about growing up in a household with a very toxic father. He makes this statement in the book:

“We live in an age of fulsome nihilism; an age of death; an age in which, as author Walker Percy (a fellow physician, a pathologist who specializes in autopsying Western civilization) argued, “compassion leads to the gas chamber,” or the abortion clinic, or the euthanist’s office.”

“We live in an age of defining personhood upward so that fewer and fewer of us make the cut, an age of virtual abjuring of moral values, so that we can treat people like objects- and yes, abortion has helped us learn to do that; and age of cracking the pillars of certainty-churches, schools and political institutions-so that everything, including your life, my friend is up for discussion…the methodical suffocation of authority and the hopeless balkanization of normative ethics. How delightful and endless our choices! – to kill, to die, to use until no longer useful, all without ever being judged, even by ourselves. (Our what?) “The Barbarians are not waiting beyond the frontiers; they have been governing us for some time.” p. 3

The rec to read Nathanson is a good one.
A bit more of the story, involving Nathanson. Part of his story proves that the rhetoric around abortion is not simple, common sense, but was the product of strategic thought and effort across time.
This link provides this part of the story, including this quote: “We persuaded the media that the cause of permissive abortion was a liberal, enlightened, sophisticated one,” recalls the movement’s co-founder. “Knowing that if a true poll were taken, we would be soundly defeated, we simply fabricated the results of fictional polls.”

Nathanson’s buddy Lawrence Lader was a Leftist to the end. You can review his stuff at ama zon – Lader does not yet have a wikipedia page, although he is noted on the NARAL page.

Additional trivia: a bit more info on the hypothesis that the arguments for abortion are not simple, common sense, liberty, and decency, fighting against religious intolerance, is the work of Garrett Hardin, an ecologist who had bought into the Malthusian population-control movement in the 1960s.

Hardin is best known for promoting the “tragedy of the commons” concept.

In Stalking the Wild Taboo, Hardin describes how he became pivotal in the development of rhetoric to make abortion acceptable. He gave an essay stating some arguments for abortion, was well-received, received some criticisms, developed his rhetoric further, gave more talks, and so across a few years fleshed out the robo-talking points comfortably spouted by progressives. One comcept was the concept of forced pregnancy/delivery being inhumane.

So, Nathanson switched from being pro-abortion, and performing thousands himself, and being a founder of NARAL, to being pro-life, and exposing the early foundational days of the modern abortion push.

And Hardin narrates his years-spanning effort to develop and refine abortion arguments into persuasive sound bites.

This calculated rhetoric effort is the intellectual basis for abortion arguments. The pro-life arguments are so obvious that nobody bothers to devote such calculated effort to them: it is a life. Duh.

So, pro-lifers walk into abortion discussions not understanding they are walking into an arugment with a cult-minded Sophist.

Ideas have histories. The good thing is that progressives are so proud of their efforts that, with some work, you can usually flesh out the line of thinking and political developments merely by reading their own works.

zephyr – like I say, these people are in a virtue-cult. Not a religious-God-cult, but a virtue-cult. The cult beliefs will not stand up to simple examination, but they have the spoon-fed thought architecture to automatically provide their responses to you.

The best that you, or I, or anyone else can do is this: 1. recognize that the true believers are in a cult, and have cult-thinking – you will not win any single argument with them. Cult members take a transition time of at least weeks to transition out of the cult thinking; 2. discuss things not for the benefit of the person you are arguing with, but those who are not so indoctrinated, or those for whom the cracks have been initiated, that these observers will see how ridiculous the thought-architecture is; 3. point out their overused dodges: name-calling and change-the-topic – instead, get back to: when does life begin – scientifically, the embryology texts say “life begins at conception;” to believe otherwise is to be un-scientific.

Anyone can google “when does life begin” to find citations for the scientific 97% consensus being “at conception.” There is a decent, logical discussion for those who decide to not accept the scientific view – ask them “well, when does life begin?” and keep getting back to this point. doggedly.

Besides the room where abortion were actually performed was the POC room (for “products of conception”), where workers pieced together and counted fetal “tissue” (body parts, to make sure nothing was left inside the patient and in some cases, apparently, to harvest). Abby said she was also bothered by how female workers who normally seemed sweet and gentle suddenly began morphing themselves, acting and speaking harshly — joking crassly — as they went about their gruesome business. “These kind people suddenly would say the most horrendous things,” says Abby. “It almost like they were giggling and crackling over the babies, as they made derogatory comments about the babies, almost like witches around a caldron. It was almost like that.” Tough stuff to hear…

Remember, evil is not the opposite of good. Evil is the absence of good, much as darkness is the absence of light. There is no force of darkness, no power of darkness, no speed of darkness. Merely the absence of light.
These videos are shinning the light on the evil darkness.

I can’t see how even an abortion supporter could watch this video and not be completely disgusted by it. I was fixated on the arm. I’m glad I never had an abortion.

Has anyone figured out if any women actually go to PP for anything other than abortions ? Now that Obamacare has saved the day, don’t women just go to ob-gyn’s at regular clinics now for their routine care, birth control, screenings, etc. ?

Fox Business reporter: 95% of Planned Parenthood’s ‘pregnancy services’ were abortions

    • TheLastDemocrat says:

Sandra – all of the women going to PP have the option to go to any FQHC, or any of many other places; besides abortion, the services provided by PP are super-low on the clinical-care-challenge list.

Who goes there? My high school story is I headed there with a girlfriend, so we could be all mature and responsible and be on BC pills. My HS GF had already received the message that PP was the teen-friendly place to go and be accepted – rather than going to your family’s doctor.

Of course, that was decades ago. Now, all of our enlightened moms take their daughters to get put on the BC. Including moms in “conservative” families.

The image of that tiny severed arm, with it’s tiny hand being grasped by the tweezers, with the tinier, but perfectly formed, fingers – is seared on my brain, forever.

Every single abortion supporter, starting with the POTUS, should stand face to face with that image, and tell us what abortion has to do with “women’s health”. It is indefensible.

Read my response, J&C, to rhobin8301 below.

I mean it. We are the sane now.

As long as we focus on Righteousness, we are the sane.

If everyone in the world says wrong is right, I’m still on the side of what is actually Right.

“if we call cow’s tail a leg, then how many legs does a cow have?”

Wrong answer. Calling it so doesn’t make it so.

  29. rhobin8301 says:

I wish I could “unsee” those images…unfortunately, I think they are now seared into my brain
How does a person, especially a woman, do this on a daily basis and not go insane??

    • taqiyyologist says:

Just remember that you’re actually the sane, at this point, Rhobin.

Cry all you need to, but you’re still sane.

Dietrich Bonhoffer was sane, too. And he saw, and he witnessed what he saw.

      • rhobin8301 says:

It just boggles my mind that these women are able to carry on business as usual after seeing this every day.

All the rescue workers, police, firemen, and medical professionals I have ever known, agree that they would rather do anything than have to deal with an injured child.

These people inflict the injury and profit from it. I just can’t get my head around that.

        • taqiyyologist says:

“How does a person, especially a woman, do this on a daily basis and not go insane??”

Oh, my bad. I thought you were referring to you, and your seeing of these things.

The people doing this are already insane. You can’t go where you’re already at.

          • taqiyyologist says:

What I’ve seen, on this internet thing, versus what nearly every single person in this nation has allowed themselves to see…

            …should have made me insane.

            But no. Quite the opposite.

Imagine being the last thinking, sane person on Earth.

Orwell and Kafka covered this well.

I come to CTH for the sanity. I stay for nyet’s breakfasts.

These people and the videographers, THEY ARE.

    Someone had to do it.

Now I just saw a little story about a 9 year old baseball bat boy – accidentally killed by a bat swing…

This director of a horror movie can explain how the pretty teen is butchered…sorry wrong post.

  34. It’s genocide first, money the last 30 years. There is no other reason than genocide to perform this act. It is murder of baby’s.

  35. lourdes says:

You all are making the wrong big deal over this, so what if a pregnant gal doesn’t want the fetus/child and wants to abort. I think it is good that the baby parts be used for science what I don’t care for is the money exchanging for the bits, however perhaps they can give the money to the “poor” female who gave up her baby for science instead of PP making the profits.
