At first hitch last night I thought this was some weird parody; however, after visiting WFB today we note unfortunately, it’s not.

A randomly innocuous, comfortably invisible, woman in the Dallas area wrote on her Facebook page an opinion that “A Female Shouldn’t Be President”.

Dallas screen grab

Now, it is important to reiterate here the Facebook writer is just, well, no-one really.  Just your average woman going about her life and sharing an opinion on Facebook with her friends and family.

What happens next really exemplifies how low journalism in this era has become.  A CBS outlet sent a reporter to track down the woman and shove a questioning camera in her face.

Then the reporter goes to find friends and business relations with the woman and asks them if they support her opinion.  (Sounds earily similar to Memories Pizza, no)

(Via WFB) This local CBS affiliate not only wrote up a story on its website, they actually sent a reporter to interview “Dallas woman” Cheryl Rios and shoot B-roll footage at her workplace. (Spoiler alert: She refused to condemn her stupid Facebook post.) They even interviewed one of her clients, who disagreed with her views.  (more)

Running the story on the local news station.

Is this really, I mean REALLY, the current status of journalism in the U.S.   Walk up to perfectly invisible and innocuous people and make a story out of their opinions.  Then, with agenda in hand, immediately follow-up with politicians and Presidential Candidates demanding to know if they support Mr./Mrs Public opinion?

It would appear the media is not just going to go after any professional politico or punditry who might hold negative views of Hillary Clinton.  It appears the MSM is actually going to troll through social media, and then go out into the streets and track down ordinary citizens who don’t comply.

Insanity.
