Let Historians Proclaim Her Name – Arin Mirkan Sacrifices Her Life To Stop ISIS Advance On Kobane…

While Obama dithers and tries to create the “image of doing something” by making little Syrian rocks out of big Syrian rocks,…

… A desperate and determined Kurdish woman takes action !

Arin Mirkan (aka Deilar Kanj Khamis) is a kurdish mother of two children. Knowing what will happen to her and her family if ISIS takes Kobane (Kobani) she used their own tactics against them, carried out a single attack against ISIS, and killed TEN of the rabid islamists in the process.

Arin MirkanSYRIA – A Kurdish woman fighting Islamic State militants carried out a suicide bomb attack to slow their advance on a besieged Syrian town, it was claimed today.

Deilar Kanj Khamis, known by the nom de guerre Arin Mirkan, blew herself up at an IS position east of the border town, killing ten jihadists.

It was the first known case of a female Kurdish fighter carrying out a suicide bomb against IS. According to tributes on Twitter, she was a mother with two children, though this was unconfirmed.

While there is little else known about the woman, she was a member of the Women’s Protection Unit, a branch of the Peoples Protection Units (YPG). The force has more than 10,000 female fighters who played a major role in the battles against the IS group.

Yesterday the force suggested all of their fighters would martyr themselves if it meant defeating IS and protecting the pivotal border town. (read more)

Female Kurdish fighters are some of the strongest people on the planet – their resolve is incredible and their loyalty toward their family and community is beyond admirable.

BBC Recently interviewed some Kurdish women for a story on Kobane, they have very clear eyes on what is to be expected if they fail.   For them they know fighting ISIS is fighting for the lives of their children.   If they fail the barbarity they would experience at the hands of ISIS is unfathomable….

Failure is not an option.

Fate: Turkish newspapers reported Ceylan Ozalp was fighting ISIS fanatics near the Syrian city of Kobane - which has a Kurdish majority - when she ran out of ammunition, leaving her facing rape and murder

Brave: In an interview with the BBC last month to discuss the role female Kurdish fighters play in combating terrorist group, Miss Ozalp (pictured centre) said: 'We're not scared of anything. We'll fight to the last. We'd rather blow ourselves up than be captured by ISIS'

I don’t know if Arin Mirkan would be considered as a modern day Deborah. I consider her just as brave as Deborah though because she fought against an evil and died in the fight. God grant her family comfort during this time of grieving and be with them.

it is sad to see a beautiful lady loose her life due to some evil scum sucking, in bred, towel head not giving her and her people much other choice, she must have been REALLY at the end of her rope to sacrifice herself.

Hey, Obama and Kerry – this is what someone with balls looks like, irony aside. Going back to my point: the Administration’s kowtowing to Turkey by letting ISIS and the Kurds bleed each other out, Turks can take care of whatever worn-out remnants of both sides are left. The Turks can also blame the Kurds their teams kill on the ISIS and everyone smiles knowing and goes out for drinks.
Can’t keep from thinking that some gray day we may be in her position here – nah, just that liberal radio talk show crap clogging my progressive thinking channels.

I wish the story was clearer. In WWII American realized the fighter was harder to replace than the machine. The mantra was, “Live to fight another day!” There seems to be a culture of martyrdom, which is self defeating. If Arin was killed in a last ditch effort, that is not the same as a suicide attack. The video in the article state there is an admiration of martyrs. Real martyrs don’t seek death, but they are will to die for their belief . There is a huge difference. If Arin actually went on a suicide attack, that should not be celebrated. If it was a failed battle and she took out several enemies, knowing that she would not survive, by using a grenade that resulted in her death, that is admirable.

So far so good. She used her life against a military target. Extreme but not uncommon. Not many Americans praise Kamikaze pilots but they too were brave and were giving their lives to take out US Navy ships invading the Japanese island of Okinawa. OTOH Chechen ‘Black Widows’ are often used as suicide bombers in Russia against not against military targets.

Be careful what you wish for however because ISIS not only uses suicide bombers they use them like cruise missiles and they may have more suicide bombers than we do cruise missiles. Women too. Even American women.

Respect, I wish I was as brave as she was. And for all these concerned, this is not suicide this is a sacrifice for the good of your country. Glory to her and may she rest in peace….

SHE WAS IN A VIDEO DAYS BEFORE HER DEATH SINGING HAPPLIY A SONG SHE MADE UP : “REMEMBER US KURD WARRIORS WITH HONOUR WE DIE IN KOBANE” the turks had cutoff food and help going into Kobane at the time and she knew they were running out of ammo. She was the definition of warrior. She stayed behind and transitioned to grenades before enacting some deceit on the enemy.
