Notice Who They are NOT Asking – Saudi Arabia Seeks Help from Pakistan, Egypt to Secure Border from ISIS

SAUDI ARABIA – With the ISIS militant forces inching closer to Baghdad, Saudi Arabia has urged allies Pakistan and Egypt to send in troops to secure its border near Iraq.

Saudi Arabia shares a 500 mile-long border with Iraq and Syria.

“The kingdom is calling in favors from Egypt and Pakistan,” an adviser to the Saudi government told The Times. “No one is certain what ISIS has planned, but it’s clear a group like this will target Mecca if it can. We expect them to run out of steam, but no one is taking any chances.”

The ISIS has a strong control on Iraq’s western borders near Syria and Jordan.

And with the militants taking one town after the other in Iraq, the Southern border with Saudi Arabia could be the next possible target.

The Saudi Arabia border near Iraq frontier is vulnerable as it lies near the Anbar province, which is largely held either by ISIS forces or by tribes which have sworn loyalty to the Caliphate under Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Last month, The Telegraph had reported that the Saudi government sent in an additional troop of over 30,000 soldiers to the desert border to stop any advance from the ISIS.

Interestingly, the ISIS has often been seen as a group that flourished under the patronage of the Saudis. There have been allegations in the international community that Saudi Arabia covertly supplied weapons to the ISIS to fight Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“ISIS has been a Saudi project,” The Atlantic had quoted a senior Qatari official back in June.

However, Saudi Arabia has rubbished all such accusations.  An ISIS invasion of Saudi Arabia is still a far-fetched idea, however, the Saudi government faces the threat inside the country.

As per a report in Al Monitor, the Saudi home ministry had discovered an ISIS splinter cell in the country back in May. The government had arrested 62 men, most of whom were Saudi nationals.  (link)

We don’t have much longer to go to become fresh out of friends globally. There is no corner of the world that has not been stung by the duplicity of the US. We are both World Police and funding the bad guys at the same time to justify more spending on World Police.

Even Israel is suffering the same tragedy. I felt different about this current war. Yes Israel is facing the same foes that want to wipe them off the face of the earth. Terrible but nothing new.

What is new is the calls for genocide in an Israel paper, since removed. There are more op-ed pieces about justifying their brutality because their enemy is brutal.

Becoming what is feared most is what is happening to both nations as the moral compass starts to spin madly around. There is no more moral Polaris in a secular country.

  2. Toddintexas says:

Where are America, France, Etc? Was Gadaffi worse than ISIS? Here’s a loaded question:
Why did a bunch of Western nations bomb the crap out of Libya & get heavily involved just to remove Gadaffi but do nothing about ISIS??
(Plus they wanted to do the same with Syria & have managed to be quite involved covertly.)
Gadaffi was a horrible leader/dictator but he was not crucifying masses of people & beheading & slaughtering Christians & other innocent victims.
But not a peep in the MSM, they are too busy calling for the annihilation of the Jewish race!
The time is coming & is now upon us, where Islam will spread & brutally take over MANY nations & make Nazism seem like kids play. And the call for the destruction of Israel & All Jews will get louder & louder. (Zechariah says the nations will be drunk with hatred of the Jews & want to throw them into the sea…sound familiar?)

“…See that you are not alarmed (in your heart & emotions) for these things MUST take place…”
    -Jesus Christ—-Matt. 24:6

  3. John Galt says:

I think this is a Saudi disinformation campaign to attempt to cover their ISIS funding/responsibility now that ISIS is engaged in rampant genocide. Saudis always strive to trick and outwit, even though they are typically not the sharpest knives in the drawer (median IQ 84).

  4. P.Spinach says:

ISIS did not get to where it is today without aiding and abetting by Barack Hussein Obama in Libya, truncated US military transition in Iraq and Operations Zero footprint. He is a total unmitigated disaster.

  5. John Galt says:

“Thank God for the Saudis and Prince Bandar,” John McCain told CNN’s Candy Crowley in January 2014. “Thank God for the Saudis and Prince Bandar, and for our Qatari friends,” the senator said once again a month later, at the Munich Security Conference.”

A net worth audit of McCain & family might be a good idea.

  6. Yakmaster says:

It would be poetic justice if ISIS did something provocative at the Saudi Arabian border giving the Saudis an excuse to unleash their military and decimate them. We might see the beginning of the Middle East starting to sort itself out after all the amateurish meddling by our current administration.

    • John Galt says:

The Saudis are merely engaged in a bit of theatre.

“Saudi Arabia has announced it is sending 30,000 soldiers to monitor the border with Iraq, amid fears over the spread of Islamic State.”

So now we’re supposed to believe that Saudi is opposed to the spread of Salafi Islam? Seriously?

  7. Jimmy says:

ISIS is either a CIA project, a Turkish project, or both.

  8. auscitizenmom says:

    Seriously? Saudi has an army??

    • John Galt says:

I know an Apache helicopter pilot that trained at Fort Rucker in a group including one Saudi. The Saudi was not highly regarded for his flying skills, to put it mildly.

“The kingdom is calling in favors from Egypt and Pakistan”

I think that means that Saudi hired mercenaries.

  9. Sibyl S. says:

On the Israeli front in the war on terror comes this news: UNWRA union is run by Hamas.
From a comment @ American Thinker:
“the 11000 workers of UNWRA are unionized. the political party which won the Union elections is Hamas. Since UNWRA employees run the schools, and the employees are all Hamas members, UNWRA schools and clinics are essentially all Hamas. Claiming immunity for Hamas operatives in UN sponsored facilities is the definition of egregious.”

    What a scandal.

  10. Dianne says:

Pakistan provides training grounds and funding for these terrorists – so I doubt SA will get any help from Pakistan. Probably millions of dollars we’ve given to Pakistan for their “help” has gone to funding ISIS – which is why they are so prepared and have so much equipment with which to wage war. Pakistan is NOT a friend.

  11. RJ says:

Geez, these muslims sure seem to be very restless and hostile toward each other.

The “religion of peace” you say? Arguments over their religion even while hating the Jews and Satan’s pal, the USA, all this is too much for a simple fella like me to comprehend.

I’ll be driving through Liberal, Kansas in a couple of weeks. Perhaps a stop off at some of those vast feeder lots where steers get “finished” prior to becoming hamburger, etc. might be in order to get a new perspective.

I’ve always noticed in these muslim lands the men running down the streets, shouting slogans, beating their chests waving flags, and in general very angry. Kinda like running with bulls, so to speak.

A lot of men, young men too, who don’t have “worthwhile” jobs to attend, families to raise, women to love….shouting in the streets, angry, very angry.

Maybe they should be herded up and transported to Liberal, Kansas where they can watch those wonderful McDonald’s trucks rambling by, filled with fresh food…

I doubt they would be able to get the connection, being blinded by hatred…

  12. This article says Saudi Arabia shars a 500 mile border with Iraq and Syria. Saudi Arabia does not share a border of any kind with Syria. I’m a proud American, but many of my countrymen are worthless at geography.

  13. Bill says:

ISIS has promised to destroy the moon rock in Mecca. Please. please let it happen.

  14. LetJusticePrevail" says:

Can’t blame the Sauds for not asking Obama for help with this. Just look where his “help” got Libya.
