Figures ! – Mitch McConnell Headlining Fundraiser for Thad Cochran – More Tentacles Of The Chamber of Commerce…

If you did not previously read the research we shared about the CoC, “things that make other things make sense”, please READ IT HERE and see the connection.

McConnell and BoehnerWASHINGTON DC – Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) is planning to headline a National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) fundraiser for Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.), the committee confirmed.

The fundraiser asks attendees to contribute $1,000 to $2,500 for individuals and $2,000 to $5,000 for PACs. And it’s certain to be a welcome development for Cochran as he enters into what’s expected to be an expensive three-week campaign before a runoff election against primary challenger Chris McDaniel.

The senator, however, looks to be getting a boost from his colleagues in Washington, many of whom have said they plan to again donate the maximum amount to his campaign. His fellow Mississippian, Sen. Roger Wicker (R), said he’s already making fundraising calls for the incumbent. And that help will be pivotal to his chances of holding on to the seat.

While national conservative groups have offered their support for McDaniel’s bid, establishment Republicans have been somewhat more lukewarm about supporting Cochran, who enters the race the underdog. At least one major establishment spending group, American Crossroads, is sitting the race out.

But the NRSC and the Chamber of Commerce are backing Cochran, wary of the chance that, if McDaniel wins the nomination, he could put the seat in play for Democrats. They’re running former Rep. Travis Childers in case of such an outcome. (read more)

This is making more clear your reasoning that Lundergan-Grimes would be better than McConnell. Only if the republicans are poised to win the senate without McConnell, though. Because Reid is still worse than McConnell.

It doesn’t matter if Republicans take the Senate or not and it has nothing to do with committees or such nonsense the spritzer crowd would talk about….

That is a moot point based on – old paradigms. This is 2014.

You tell me what specifically makes Harry Reid worse than McConnell. I hear that a lot, but when I ask people to justify it – no-one can. So help me to understand.

    • Personally I don’t know if one is worse than the other. If anything McConnel may be a nose worse than Reid. Lets refer to this quote from Marcus Cisero “A nation can survive its fools and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable for he is known and carries his banner openly” Reid leaves no gray area as to where he stands. McConnel on the other hand…

American Crossroads is staying out of the primary because Mitch told
them to. Karl Rove might think he runs American Crossroads, but he
    doesn’t. Mitch does!

Steven Law the current director of American Crossroads and Mitch McConnell are very close:
1990: Manager of Senator Mitch McConnell’s first reelection campaign.

1991-1997: Senator Mitch McConnell’s Chief of Staff.

1998-2000: National Republican Senatorial Committee Executive Director.

    2001-2007:
US Labor Department Deputy Secretary and Chief of Staff working for
Mitch McConnell’s wife Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao.

2007-2009: US Chamber of Commerce Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel.

2010: American Crossroads President & Chief Executive Officer.
