HatTip to Splat and Adrem for researching and constructing the video aspect. Thanks also to Fox News for permission to use their video segment.

Ben Rhodes - Tommy Vietor - Tom Donilon

If you were sitting on the Benghazi fence unsure of whether there is actually any “there” there, this little segment from Fox News is going to peak your curiosity just *that much* more.

Apparently, according to Fox News Pundit Bob Beckel, he and White House National Security Advisor Tom Donilon are “old friends”.

OK, fair enough, no biggie.   Actually, who cares?

EXCEPT… Well,…  listen carefully to what Bob Beckel says at 3:20 point of this video.

Beckel …”first of all, let me just say, Tom Donilon is an old friend of mine and I have talked to him about this. He said he was not involved in that, he was not even in that day, so uhh..

MacCallum …”He wasn’t in that night either”?

Beckel … “I don’t believe he was there“.

MacCallum …”He’s the national security advisor” ?

Beckel … “yeah, but..”

MacCallum … “He was not in the loop”?

Beckel … “they’re not on 24 hours a day”..

You see, the problem with that Beckel talking point is that we have a picture of Tom Donilon standing in the Oval Office at 7:28:16pm as Denis McDonough is briefing President Obama about Benghazi following the Obama/Biden phone call with Benjamin Netanyahu.

White House 9-11-12

(Sept. 11, 2012)”Denis McDonough, Deputy National Security Advisor, left, updates the President and Vice President on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa. National Security Advisor Tom Donilon and Chief of Staff Jack Lew are at right.” (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)

We’ve seriously researched this picture and the context of events surrounding it; along with the activity of what McDonough and Donilon were doing as a result of the Benghazi attack.

Tom Donilon is on record as the first person to tell President Obama about the Benghazi attack as Obama arrived back to the White House on 9/11/12 from Bethesda Maryland.   This is beyond refute.

So what’s Beckel up to with that direction in his deflective narrative ?

Odd.

As with all scandals and risks to the White House, there’s always something bigger behind the door they distract you from opening.
