Washington (AP) – The White House has announced this morning that President Barack Obama will sing the opening and closing songs at Whitney Houston’s yet-to-be-scheduled memorial service.

In a statement released exclusively to the Associated Press, the White House revealed that President Obama personally called Bobby Brown to first offer his condolences, and then offered to sing both the opening and closing songs of the memorial service, suggesting “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “I Will Always Love You”, respectively.  The statement went on to say that Mr. Brown thought it was “A terrific idea,” with the modification that Mr. Brown would join the President in a duet for the closing song.

Details of the memorial service are not expected until sometime after the autopsy. (Details)
