Police told ABC7 News Wednesday that six people have been arrested for Jones’ death, several of whom are confirmed to be members of MS-13.
Police said it appears that Jones, a homeless man, was hanging around outside a liquor store in the 4600 block of Huron Avenue when he made some remarks to a 17-year-old girl whom police believe is a gang member.
The woman reportedly left the scene and then returned with several others, who then proceeded to attack Jones and fatally stab him several times.
Jones’ body was discovered around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.  (read more with video)
