Tomb of the Unknown ChristmasOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.

For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Some commenters were saying we should have a “Cleared for Firearms” stamp on our drivers license and in a database.
They got it exactly backwards. Like being presumed innocent until proven guilty, one has a right to firearms unless that right is forfeited. Therefore, their should be a database of those NOT allowed firearms.

      Love the conclusion:

Unlike certain conservative and libertarian figures like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck, I do not believe that there is a single great conspiracy creeping over our nation with massive dark claws. I generally feel that idiocy is a better explanation than malice and plotting. However, when I see the end effect of this ludicrous contradiction in policy initiatives — that is, a populace at once too poorly equipped to defend itself from tyranny and too drunk or high to care about liberty — I can understand why some would believe in such things.

    Email of the day:

    Never Argue with a Woman

Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, puts her feet up, and begins to read her book.

The peace and solitude are magnificent.

Along comes a Fish and Game Warden in his boat.

He pulls up alongside the woman and says, ‘Good morning, Ma’am. What are you doing?’

‘Reading a book,’ she replies, (thinking, ‘Isn’t that obvious?’)

‘You’re in a Restricted Fishing Area,’ he informs her.

‘I’m sorry, officer, but I’m not fishing. I’m reading.’

‘Yes, but I see you have all the equipment.
For all I know you could start at any moment.
I’ll have to take you in and write you up.’

‘If you do that, I’ll have to charge you with sexual assault,’ says the woman.

‘But I haven’t even touched you,’ says the Game Warden.

‘That’s true, but you have all the equipment..
For all I know you could start at any moment.’

‘Have a nice day ma’am,’ and he left.

Never argue with a woman who reads.

It’s likely she can also think.

Just went by the IRS office. They have no, nada, zilch, zero, 1099 forms – of any kind. By law, the 1099s must be sent to recipients on or before January 31, 2013. The guy manning the forms at the IRS could not tell me what my alternatives are. He said they are expecting some forms “maybe next week”. He could not tell me if the IRS was going to be lenient in enforcing the Jan. 31 deadline.

Because these forms are in duplicate they cannot be printed from the IRS website.

I know I can probably obtain these forms at an office supply store but that is not the point here.

“Delayed tax season’ to start Wednesday

“The IRS pushed the start date back by eight days from the original 2013 date to accommodate late tax law changes enacted Jan. 2.”
“Last year was a big year for tax-return fraud…”
“… households with more complex returns, such as taxpayers who itemize, will be able to start filing in late February or into March because of the need for more extensive form and processing system changes the IRS has yet to complete. This group includes people claiming residential energy credits, depreciation or general business credits.”
“It will place a burden on small-business owners,” Perry said. They are required to have returns filed by March 15. “We have people dropping off corporate tax returns. We are waiting on the tax software to come up with the forms so we can finish the returns.”
“The IRS is still expecting, and law enforcement in general, is expecting a deluge of fraudulent tax returns being filed this year,” said Latour “L.T.” Lafferty, an attorney who heads the white-collar crime division of Fowler White Boggs, a statewide firm with headquarters in Tampa.”
“The best way to beat the scammers is to file before they do. If the legitimate taxpayer is beaten to the punch by an identity thief, then the taxpayer has to prove he is the legitimate filer by verifying his identity.”
“Tax preparers report that some clients whose refunds were usurped by criminals last year have yet to receive their refunds. In past years, some have waited as long as 18 months to get the money that is rightfully theirs.”
“In 2011, the office of Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., heard from 70 victims of identity theft-related tax fraud. In 2012, that number rose to 871, said Nelson spokesman Ryan McCormick.”
“The problem has been growing every year over the past few years.”
“U.S. taxpayers stand to lose $21 billion in income tax refunds to identity thieves over the next five years, according to a July Treasury report. A Treasury investigation found that the IRS issued $5.2 billion in refunds for fraudulent 2010 returns.”
“Nelson and Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., are preparing to reintroduce a bill to restrict publication of The Death Master File as part of a larger tax fraud and ID theft act, McCormick said. The file contains names and Social Security numbers.”
“A pilot program that began in Florida allows fraud victims to sign a waiver that allows the IRS to share their information with local law enforcement. It has been expanded to eight more states.”
“The longer-term solution here is improving the ability of the IRS when a return comes in to know whether the data on that return, like wage information and withholding information, is true or not. That means being able to match wage data from employers and from the Social Security Administration when that return comes in the door,” McCormick said.” I THOUGHT THIS WAS ALREADY BEING DONE!?!!
“The IRS said this month that it has issued identity protection personal identification numbers to more than 600,000 taxpayers who were victims of tax fraud. That is more than twice as many as the previous year.”

I really don’t see the point in enacting new laws when Zero ignores existing laws and the Constitution. GOP should simply block all new laws and pursue efforts to force Zero into compliance with existing laws and court orders.

The bwitch is pizzed that our governor had the AUDACITY to suggest that he will cut medicAID hospice funding.
I hope there’s a seat in the 7th circle reserved for her because of her vote for obamacare. HER vote sealed the deal and she did it because “her state” got federal funding. Coming up to the vote her constituents were ringing her phone 24/7 begging her to vote against it. What’d she do? Well I’ll just say suddenly her phones weren’t working.
This bwitch is a hairy wart on the butt of Louisiana.

It could just easily be that the Secret Service themselves have decided that their protocols do require them stepping up procedures and intensifying the personal protection whenever a POTUS begins behaving consistently in a traitorous manner, realizing that his treasonous intentions inherently increase the risk level.

I think because of the manner of his “leadership” they are intensifying his personal protection without a single additional threat coming in.

      • ctdar says:

Oh I don’t know, never seen so many, they were all over him like….wait for it….FLY on Sh$t!!!

It should be an intersting show :)

      • ctdar says:

        Some quick notes:
Why did you vote for Obama twice when you claim you are a republican:
        -Economic reasons & policies
        -credentials are fine
-right shift? Actual said Rep Party has become too far to the right?
lol typical, Powell uses the race card when it suits him, now when BOR calls him in it stating for example black unemployment when BO first came in it was 12.7% now  14%
couldn’t really answer him other than trying to put it in general terms.

Powell also claims disenfranchising of the immigrant and BOR asks what’s so wrong about asking for voter ID when they vote..Powell also denied voter fraud, yada, yada, yada. Asked about him inferring that Sununu & Palin are racists and Powell inflamed the left in order for them to get out the vote for dems.

He is so transparent, obvious that he is and has always been a rino and endorsed Obama because of his skin.
ZING!!! Wow! BOR just asked him the last question, prefaced it as what Bill has heard from more than one in DC:
Is Powell angry at republican party (basically turned on them) coz they made him look bad about Iraq & whether there were weapons of mass destruction!!!
        Youch! Goooo Billlllllll!!!!!

For some reason The New Republic was desperate to show President Obama skeet shooting. Perhaps it was to back up Mr. Obama’s quote that he goes skeet shooting “all the time,” with little evidence. Perhaps it was to show the President as an outdoorsman. Whatever the reasoning, they ran with a “scoop” that was clearly fake.

  25. cajunkelly says:

EYUP, my head *is* gonna explode.

CBS just said “we never thought we’d have to ask this question, but is BALLET BECOMING TOO VIOLENT”???

  26. Sharon says:

    — Residents of this Mediterranean coastal city burying their dead from Egypt’s wave of political violence vented their fury at Egypt’s Islamist president and the Muslim Brotherhood on Tuesday, demanding his ouster and virtually declaring a revolt against his rule, as the head of the military warned Egypt may collapse under the weight of its turmoil.

That Arab Spring thing really seems to produce lots of dead bodies. Ah, well, if it gets too hard for Morsi, he’ll soon have a new stack of F-16s with which to mow down his opposition.

  27. boutis says:

France ‘totally bankrupt’, says labour minister Michel Sapin

My question is what country currently isn’t?

  28. michellc says:

I was over at Gateway Pundit and watched a video of a 30 year old farm having all of their product confiscated. It is nothing new, I’ve watched farm after farm, dog kennels, ranchers, aviaries, guitar factories, you name it who have faced the same thing over and over. The sheeple buy it hook, line and sinker and say but they were abusing the animals, they were using illegal wood, and never ever does the media follow up on when it comes out in court that videos were doctored, the people there to save the animals were killing animals and after the people have lost everything the court finds them to be innocent. Doesn’t matter the damage is done, but who cares about that?
So I love that the tables were turned for once and the cameras were turned on them. I love that neighbors and friends came out to show their support and I love the man who quoted the Bible and said we need to turn away from our evil ways. I love that they pointed out to the “farm inspector” that him just doing his job makes him just as guilty and that the NAZIS were just doing their job as well.

  29. michellc says:

Twitchy also had something interesting. A father of a Sandy Hook victim asked a question and received an answer, “the second amendment.” Then the media ran with he was heckled by pro-gun advocates.
He went on to say they have a right to their opinion and he has a right to his. He’s right he has a right to his opinion, but his opinion or their opinion doesn’t get to change the words of the constitution, if you don’t like the constitution then you have the right to petition the government to change it, but you don’t or at least shouldn’t have the right to ignore it because it doesn’t agree with your opinion. My opinion is music, video games, television and movies should not be allowed to be full of violence and sex. My opinion is the news should be news and not a bunch of opinions and lies. However, the constitution doesn’t agree with my opinion and the constitution trumps my opinion.

  30. WeeWeed says:

And our news for the lofos, albeit late in the day. Meet the future Senator from KY.
