WASHINGTON DC - President Obama reiterated his determination Monday to see Congress act to reduce gun violence.
“The only way that we’re going to be able to do everything that needs to be done is with cooperation of Congress,” he said at the start of a meeting with Vice President Joe Biden and law enforcement officials from the Major Cities Chiefs Association and the Major County Sheriffs Association.
“That means passing serious laws that restrict the access and availability of assault weapons and magazine clips that aren’t necessary for hunters and sportsmen, those responsible gun owners who are out there. It means that we are serious about universal background checks, it means that we take seriously issues of mental health and school safety,” he said.
As I’ve said before, be very careful about how he parses his ‘laws’. If we slip that ‘removable magazine’ clause in then any rifle with or capable of having a removable magazine, regard;less of the magazine’s capacity is out. Pistol grip? The standard bolt action stock has, if you look at the definitions of the parts of the stock, a ‘pistol grip’. Flash suppressors are generally irrelevant as they do NOTHING on a gun but reduce flash from rounds that are hot loads, many powders are coated, as are military loads, with a flash reducing coating making flash suppressors rather useless. In any event the gun-grabbers say flash suppressor to evoke some gut reaction from the unknowing. These scum are largely lawyers or pimp for lawyers and, as such, know how to use language to set up traps that the unwary fall into. Remember, this is Congress, who’s managed to exclude themselves and, selectively, government agencies from the laws they pass.
They Lib’s always mention Hunting when discussing it. Clever aren’t they. Next they will try to lock up guns at “Hunting” clubs as they do in other industrialized countries. That is another tell.
I’m waiting for caliber restrictions and getting us down to double-barrel rifles as much of Europe uses. Funny thing is I can remember when the AF unit my father was with back in the 50s used to pick up Senators, fly them to hunts in Alaska and Canada. Times have changed, now they want cash.
My take on this is the attack on the Bill of Rights by the communists infesting the government. The 2nd amendment is clear. It contains the phrase “The right of the people.” The right of the people means us. Not the Army, the Police, or the chosen ones in politics. The communists twist it. It says nothing about hunting or shooting skeets. It does mention the need for a well regulated militia. Regulated back then meat provisioned and ready. Not BATF regulations. That is just how I see it.

A person I know from another person actually posted an article from a person he knew and I’ve actually learned a little bit about history of the Second Amendment. I was never taught about Athens Tennessee 1946. That is a good example of the Second Amendment put to good use and can be used.

The “govt” is positioning these ammo storage boxes, I have been told, in strategic places in population centers around the country. They are usually painted olive drab and are unmarked except for indistinguishable numbers/letters probably for inventory, routing, etc.
One set of images made available by Rense.com shows trailer after trailer carrying these new DHS and FEMA armored fighting vehicles, complete with machine gun slots. They’re labeled with the usual backward American flag and the title, ‘Homeland Security’. Below that and the DHS logo, it also reads, ‘Immigration & Customs Enforcement’. Joining those markings, the black vehicles with white lettering also display ‘POLICE/RESCUE’ on one side and ‘Special Response Team’ on the other.
