Remember that Asian Trip Obama Took before Thanksgiving? Did you, wonder why the media never said what it was about, and more importantly what were the outcomes?
H.U.M.I.L.I.A.T.I.O.N. – It is symptomatic of the national condition of the United States that the worst humiliation ever suffered by it as a nation, and by a US president personally, passed almost without comment last week.
I refer to the November 20 announcement at a summit meeting in Phnom Penh that 15 Asian nations, comprising half the world’s population, would form a Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership excluding the United States.
President Barack Obama attended the summit to sell a US-based Trans-Pacific Partnership excluding China. He didn’t. The American led-partnership became a party to which no-one came.
Instead, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, plus China, India, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, will form a club and leave out the United States. As 3 billion Asians become prosperous, interest fades in the prospective contribution of 300 million Americans – especially when those Americans decline to take risks on new technologies. America’s great economic strength, namely its capacity to innovate, exists mainly in memory four years after the 2008 economic crisis… (continue reading)

Thanks. Fixed it
He is going to hold the record for being the best and most documented-in-detail massive failure as POTUS. He shall wear that crown in perpetuity in the grave where history eventually buries all tyrants and wannabe tyrants..He’s not the first liar to hold the office and not the first wannabe-world-level-soft-tyrant who’s held the office but he’s certainly the most thoroughly documented WWLST to hold it.
His track record, unlike that of Teddy Roosevelt, will not be hidden to history.
I’m not just picking on Teddy randomly. Example: In 1882, Emperor Gojong of Korea had signed a treaty with the United States seeking protection for foreign invaders. In following years, he sometimes said that he thought of the US as an “Elder Brother.” So when Teddy Roosevelt’s representative, Wm. Howard Taft, came calling in 1905, the emperor trusted him …not knowing that
Shocked? So was I. Who knew.
The book is The Imperial Cruise, by James Bradley. His father was the subject of another book he authored, Flag of our Fathers which was the basis for a later film by the same name. (His dad was one of those who raised the flag on Iwo Jima) Sometimes it’s good to have our rose-colored glasses removed and become disillusioned in those areas where we may have illusions. This work of research will do that with regard to Teddy Roosevelt’s foreign policy.
Now I’m curious as to whether there’s any informed correlation between Dear Leader’s foreign policy today, and Teddy Roosevelt’s track record.
Another fun fact: At the time of that 1905 voyage, Teddy Roosevelt was serving as his own Secretary of State, which I suppose simplified the decision-making and decision-implementing bit.
ADD: I dearly love that BarackoPOTamUS was told to stuff it.
Asia w/o China. What a Zero.
Apparently it never dawned on Obama that reducing the US in stature and economic might meant the US would become irrelevant to many countries and so would he as POTUS. The ability to read a TelePrompTer with feeling does not guarantee a foreign audience.
Obama was lining up allies to invade America when patriots get fed up with the coming tax hike on the middle class. Maybe Red Dawn wasn’t that far off after all.
