Conservatives such as myself are often blamed for not ever giving President Obama praise when he does something worthy of our admiration and praise.
At least in my case, my critics are dead-on correct.
Having been more than vociferously critical of the president’s hard-left policies and agendas that are wreaking havoc on America, it is time I make amends and heap some much deserved praise on the president because he has done something which is absolutely amazing, spectacular, and is deserving of much praise from guys like me.
President Obama is single handedly responsible for the ongoing record setting avalanche of gun and ammunition sales all across America. This is because rank and file Americans do not trust the president and his clear and present anti-gun team.
Ever wonder how many of his cabinet and czars own handguns or are members of the NRA?
Yes, I know, a tsunami of gun and ammo sales is not what the president and his avowed anti-gun cohorts such as Sen. Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Eric Holder, Barbara Boxer, Jesse Jackson, Frank Lautenburg, Dick Durbin et al would have wanted, but the end result is still the same: gun and ammo sales are going into the stratosphere.
This makes me giddy. My freedom spirit is dancing naked around the liberty campfire. My armory of guitars howls at the moon in delight.
The number of background checks conducted by the FBI set an all-time record this past December at roughly 1.5 million. This is great news for Second Amendment freedom addicts and we should give ample praise to the president for his ability to stimulate gun and ammo sales without federal stimulus dollars or a massive bail-out.
Don’t you just love it when the free market works exactly like it is supposed to?
Ammo.com nailed it when they referred to the president as the “greatest gun salesman in America.” I’m buying the president a life membership to the NRA for his unrelenting support to put more firepower in the hands of law-abiding Americans so that they can defend themselves and their loved ones. Good on you, Mr. President.
In an effort to deflect that the president is personally responsible for massive increases in gun and ammo sales, anti-freedom goons are trying to blame pro-freedom groups such as the NRA for whipping their members into a frenzy into believing the president is out to take their guns away.
This, of course, is typical claptrap left-wing balderdash. After all, it was the president who stated that ordinary Americans cling to their guns and religion.
The reason gun owners and hundreds of thousands of first-time gun owners are buying more guns and ammunition is because they do not trust the president. They believe the president would ban guns in an Illinois second if he could.
In fact, as a state senator from the Land of Lincoln, he routinely supported anti-gun legislation.
And of course we all know how Attorney Gen. Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder is pushing for increased “brainwashing” Americans against guns.
Beautiful.
The Americans I speak with ardently believe that if given a second term, the president will push anti-gun legislation as hard as he can, especially an all-out assault on semi-automatic rifles which will cause sales of these weapons to once again soar.
The bottom line is simply this: Americans know that most Democrats despise guns almost as much as they despise wealthy people, success, small government, low taxes, and lunches made by moms for their school-age kids.
President Obama is deserving of our support and adulation. It is because of him that gun and ammo sales are going through the roof. He is the greatest gun salesman in the history of America.
Oh, the splendor and beauty of irony.
As a guy about to launch his very own line of superior firepower ammunition this summer, I could not be happier. Keep up the great work, Mr. President.
