It’s not about politics, but then again..… (RealClearPolitics) — In the same thought White House press secretary Jay Carney claims they are not playing politics, but then says the White House is “winning” politically.
“On the suggestion that this is about politics, I don’t think anybody in this room that’s looked at a poll could argue with the idea that we’re winning this argument on the merits as a political matter. But you know what? The President is not here to win political arguments. He’s here to make sure the economy is protected and the American people are protected. This is too serious of a matter,” Carney said.  (video)
