A person who was a teenager when Obamacare was debated and passed is now around 30 years old. Put another way, if you were 15 years old when We The People defeated Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley with Scott Brown and took the Kennedy senate seat, you are about to turn 30. Think about the context of modern Republican politics and time.
This context reminds us that a large portion of the generally distracted population has no foundational understanding of modern Republican politics.
This context is also the baseline behind ‘battered conservative syndrome‘.
You will never, not ever, see a professional Republican politician attack a Democrat with the same level of vitriol, hatred, bitterness and anger as they do toward their own base voter.
The Democrat party fears their base; the Republican party despises their base. The truth of this very visible reality will never change. Professional Republican politicians are not ideologues to principle or policy; they are interested in one thing, money. That’s it.
If you peel the core of any issue involving conflict with the Republican Party, you will find money at the center of it. Current Democrat politicians focus on advancing an ideological agenda; they swing for the fences in an effort to maximize control and power. Current Republican politicians are focused, to the detriment of all other facets, on their personal wealth.
When you introduce a newly elected ‘conservative‘ to the DC world of republicanism, it is like sending a new guy/gal into the room to talk policy, only to be met with every face around the table staring back quizzically and dismissively while replying, “We don’t do that here – we are talking about money.”
Once you reset the Schoolhouse Rocks mindset and accept this is the truth of the thing, then everything else that puzzled you about Republican politics reconciles.
Ballot harvesting doesn’t generate money, so why do it? We can make just as much money in the minority railing against ‘them’, so why be focused on a majority? Donald Trump is threatening the financial position of our benefactors, so we hate him. These are the simple truths of modern Republicans.
This is also the context to look at the institutions of professional Republican politics (RNC, RGA, NRSCC, etc) as well as the politicians who operate inside the business of professional republicanism. Defending the trough is the goal – nothing is more important. Removing any threat to the billionaires and multinationals who feed the trough, is a priority. If defending the money means eliminating a pesky conservative thinker, so be it – destroy them. That’s where the bitterness and anger come from.
If we do not accept this reality, we are doomed to repeat the cycle of abuse.
We can never make a professional Republican a perfect sandwich that will stop him/her from abusing us. Quit trying.
With this in mind, and understanding the nature of our corrupt two-party system controlled by two private corporations, the DNC and RNC, Donald Trump selected the RNC as the best available option to bring a new set of economic priorities back to the forefront.
Making America Great Again is a threat to modern republicanism, because MAGA has a core America-First economic agenda that runs counter to the priorities of the Republican party. {Go Deep}
Every professional Republican politician who enters the 2024 race for the Republican nomination is working toward this goal. None of them are working on any other goal. The removal of MAGA from mechanics of the Republican Party is their mission priority. There is no other higher priority, including election outcomes.
Monmouth has a new poll released yesterday [article here – data pdf here] that was taken just before and during the time Ron DeSantis launched his candidacy.
When you look at the results, you can see why the people managing the Florida governor pulled the trigger a little earlier than anticipated.
DeSantis was scheduled in a very clear and strategic roadmap to launch as the ‘last’ candidate in the 2024 race. However, despite his national politicking and “book tour”, his support was dropping every week. They couldn’t wait any longer out of fear the principal would lose all support and the 2024 effort would be useless before they even got out of the gate.
The background managers pushed DeSantis into the race, and now we will see the last set of professional Republicans follow. Each candidate will have a role and responsibility on behalf of the party.
Chris Christie and Nikki Haley will team up to play the lead role in the party attack against Donald Trump.
Notice how we are not seeing any post-DeSantis announcement polling? Ron DeSantis launched on May 23rd and May 24th. Sometimes it is the absence of the thing that tells you a lot about the substance of the thing.
[Monmouth Article Here]
Why would a candidate at 1%, 2%, 3% etc., stay or even launch into the race? Stop pretending. They do not have any chance of winning and they are not in the race to win. They are in the race to defend the interests of the professional Republican apparatus.
They are in the race to destroy MAGA and the American First agenda.
Yet pundits and battered conservatives demand the non-pretending people stop talking about the truth of it and maintain their illusion.
It is all nonsense.
Battered Conservative No More!
To sum up…it’s disgusting.
The only thing they care about is rebuilding the Potemkin village. POTUS Trump and the mighty MAGA folks tore that whole damn thing down.
Sadly, there are still conservatives disillusioned by it and are now leaning on the little boy reading from his script like a high school class president.
They have been zombified.
It sounds like you’re quietly saying the quiet part out load in this post. I hear you

He is looking diseased to me, have you noticed how unhealthy he looks? His sins are catching up to him.
Great catch.
If you look closely, many of the old DC establishment members are not looking good.
Guessing it’s one of two things. Either there is some hidden justice taking place or their puppet masters are done with these aging servitors and are tossing them aside for the next generation of servitors.
You noticed Graham, but a similar thing can be said about Pelosi, Feinstein and McConnell. I’m sure there are many more. Also noticing a similar thing with members of Hollywood and media.
The adrenochrome is not as available as it was in the past.
The one who really looks diseased is McConnell,, he can barely stand up straight and sounds like he has a mouth full of runny jello when he talks! I wonder what his cognitive state IS!!! 🤔

The GOP has no longer has a base.
They don’t want one. Trump handed the opportunity to have an unbeatable base of working class, white, black ,brown, citizens. They are not interested in the working class. Wow…to me it is unbelievable!
Reagan had a coalition almost exactly the same as Trump. Gone in 60 seconds, courtesy of the GOP.
Where can we go?
We have to take over the RNC.
Can we call ourselves patriots if we can’t even accomplish that?
Bingo.
Well they do… if you count the willingly blind.
The poor sap (Rudy Yakym) who replaced Jackie Walorski charged into DC to transform America into a conservative bastion. Then the Uniparty dangled golden carrots in front of his beak and suddenly the Freedom Caucus was taboo. Now he walks and talks like a Mrs. Frank Luntz clone.

Now we know why he got installed, he was willing to be.
Then start a new party! How much longer are we going to fool around with the Repukes? We may lose a few elections in the process but eventually the people will have to turn to the new party, a MAGA/PATRIOT party. What is wrong with having 3 or 4 parties? They have that in Europe. If we don’t change things we will be seeing the same thing all over again in 2024, 2026, 2028 and beyond.
Multiple parties hasn’t saved the UK. They have a very similar situation.
Multiple parties have worked in Italy, it’s taking hold in Germany and France and I am sure there are many more.
It is President Trump’s decision whether to start a new party. I follow his lead.
“Making America Great Again is a threat to modern republicanism, because MAGA has a core America-First economic agenda that runs counter to the priorities of the Republican party.”
This is exactly why the number one enemy of MAGA conservatives (notice I didn’t say republicans) right now is the GOPe, not the leftist democrat party which is, of course, right there with them.
Right after the elections were officially stolen in early 2021 (congressional AND presidential), many of us posted our proclamations about the absolute necessity that Trump spearhead a new, MAGA party to extricate himself (and most of us 80 million Trump voters) from a party of self-serving thieves and saboteurs; to gut the GOPe of its status as the “only option” and the “hold your nose” voting paradigm. It would also have served as an opportunity for the few elected conservative patriots to lead by example through substantive action instead of routine sideline endorsements. With such a significant change to the political landscape, it’s not hard to see that the RNC donation pipeline would dry up considerably, notwithstanding the billionaire elites and the global corporatist money machines who they work for anyway—and who would be much more openly exposed. This was a missed opportunity when the rage and frustration in the country was high. Now people are much more awake to the reality, but the threats from “big everything” are too great to ignore. J6 scared the **** out of the DC system which is why the persecution of everyone and everything is taking place with no resistance from the politicians. I believe we’ve missed our window, but I hope I’m wrong about that. It still didn’t stop me from re-registering as an independent non-affiliated voter. I know many who did the same to try to send at least some message to our abusers.
That said, there were many who argued that the Republican Party had to be re-taken from within and no other path to success existed. And yet somehow a system that has been corrupted by both sides of the uniparty bird to such an extent that decades of defensive layers created to protect/enhance the power and influence of these preferred (and chosen) politicians, that somehow that corrupted system could be meaningfully penetrated and reversed? In the kind of shortened timeframe that we face? Do we really have 50+years to undo 50+ years of deliberate onslaught to our way of life before freedom is completely eradicated? That we really have the time and will to overcome the GOPe (at state, local and federal levels mind you) and remake it as we believed it to be intended?
By forming the MAGA party, we would have the means to see how strong we are and use that strength. We would have a greater ability to assemble together as like-minded patriots with greater sense of purpose and alignment of ideological goals. In short, the MAGA party would serve as its own force multiplier, and allow us to be the very heroes we’ve been waiting for to come to the rescue. And it would leave a corrupt, self-serving political organization flailing for relevance.
what is a party?
is this for something more than getting names on the ballot.
Why not just destroy all parties – and force reps to make alliances 1 by 1.
Excellent JSG, that is exactly what I think and you put it into words much better than I. Notice the chorus has already started that 2024 is our last chance to stop the fall of America? How many times have we heard that? If the next election is always a crisis that must be averted then we can never look 10 or 20 years ahead. We never seem to develop a long term goal and plan. When I comment on here about a third party a lot of well meaning folks jump all over it because we will split the conservative vote and give the next election to the demonrats. Perhaps that will happen but look farther ahead and play the long game. I was a life long Repub but realized after the 2020 steal that dog wasn’t going to hunt anymore and like you became an independent.
people don’t seem to be getting that we’re only up against 1 party. THEIR party.
“…we will split the conservative vote…” There is no conservative vote to split. The Republican party consists, primarily, of MAGA and GOPe, MAGA being the majority by a large margin. GOPe is essentially a dim component of the Republican party and is not conservative. We should expel them, retaining the party for ourselves. No third party will be effective.
As President Trump would say my friend. “Try it, what have you got to lose?” At this point buckeye i’s now or never. If we don’t we lose, if we do? Who knows. I think we’re at that point where we have to do something to rock the establishments world. I once left the democrat party after Carter, cause they left me. Joined the “R” party due to Reagan. Now I realize that the “R’s” are no different than the other losers. We?I have been played! NO MORE! It’s either new party take the country back, or 2cd A time! Not that we’d win that scenario , but at least go done fighting for what we believe. Truth Justice and the American way. Which is what our founders instilled in us. Not the uniparty version.
After the 2024 Presidential selection steal, We The People may finally wake up to the fact that we ain’t gonna vote our way out of this mess and a MAGA party with or without Trump ( only because he’s getting up there in age ) is the only long term option. There will be no expedient option any longer.
I was never in favor for a third party. Not because I didn’t think we needed one, rather I thought it would allow the commiecrats to gain even more power till our “new” party had a strong enough foothold.
But after 3 years of this administration and all of the BS going on and illusion of the republican party that they are going to help us ? No we need to doit now! As you’ve pointed out apply, we need to see just how strong we are! Trump received the most votes ever for a sitting President and LOST! There’s no way Biden got 81 million votes! It would in my eyes be a stretch if he got 35 million. The MAGA party with Trump at the helm for the initial start up would generate what the numbers I suspect truly are. Trump garnered more votes than any other republican in all the different spectrums and groups of voters.
The commies act like the “MAGA” people are a big segment but not as really big as it actually is. Look at the polling. Is Trump really ahead of RDS by that much or is it manipulated whereas he’s up by even more? If somehow Trump gets Bernie Sandered in the Primaries and RDS wins the nomination we will know for sure sadly that the jig is up for our beloved country!
MAGA is America First and America First is MAGA. New party MAGA/AF.
The 3% for Scott has to be based on skin color alone.
So, is it pointless to create a new MAGA party because the RNC & DNC have all access locked up? WTF?!?
Not to me it isn’t. Let’s roll!
Ditto. I firmly believe that many democrats will jump to a new party. most of them refuse to vote for “R’s”
MAGA is way stronger than what we’re being given credit for. Just look at the rallies, the parades etc We get huge turnouts whereas the dems get shallow crowds with people paid and bussed in. Even RDS gets the closeup treatment from the media. The same as the donks!
I don’t understand why there aren’t patriotic billionaires that haven’t really figured out how to profit off MAGA. Why does profiteering have to be based solely on globalism? You’d think someone would be able to exploit America First.
I applaud your comment a million times! I think a lot of what President Trump has done was for the purpose of showing them a better way, a way everyone could win. For example, i don’t think any of us have liked some of his picks but I think his reasoning was based on trying to get people to see a bigger circle.
The crying shame is it could work and work for other countries as well. It did work until 2020 was stolen!
I think the problem is the globalists think they have a bird in hand and don’t want to give it up. And the other issue is people at the top don’t want to give up power.
I hope President Trump is developing a new plan. I’m with him all the way.
they’ve sucked all they can out of us. they’re moving on to emerging markets.
What baffles me the most along with your thought is the fact that so many of these money grubbing losers are already so filthy rich and so stinking old. I’m 72 and if I had half or 1/3 of their money I’d be taking it real easy and not worried about ANYTHING! Yet everyday I see the same old codgers making deals for more money! Go figure.
These billionaires all went to Epstein’s island multiple times… which means that they are pedophiles, and they want pedophilia to become legal. That is why they continue to work against Main Street and MAGA. They want us so poor and under-resourced that when they come for our kids we are to weak to defend our family.
Patriotic billionaires don’t exist with the exception being Donald Trump.
Most American billionaires stole their money from selling Main Street America out to China. Most American billionaires hate MAGA
If Donald Trump succeeds and becomes the Republican nominee in 24 it will be extraordinary how enthusiastically the Republicans become overt wholehearted loyal democrats.
The repukes are already loyal dems. Look at the vote today.

House Rules Committee Votes 7-6 to Advance McCarthy-Biden Debt Ceiling Bill
Will this start with the above triggering a financial disaster, followed by Joe Biden’s Executive Order 14067 in July to finish the job. Then what remains of the government could say they had any amount of money available without looking for gold or silver as a backup. And, we get Revelation 13:16-18. Look at when EO 14067 was signed.
So I am expecting this non-budget to be passed. And with no upper limit on its ability to borrow money.

As the great Jerry Garcia said, “politics is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex.”
The “great Jerry Garcia” would have been a Bernie Sanders voter.
He sure as hell would not have been MAGA.
Ultimately the Bernie Bros have more in common with anti-war Trump than pro-war Uniparty.
71 Republicans voted NO. Almost 1/3 of Mrs. Luntz’s caucus.😂
No one is going to like this comment, but…
battered conservative syndrome originally was coined to describe republican talk radio and media.
Lots of talk, no solutions. Wind up the lemmings and make yourself $100M.
I am DISGUSTED….to the MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way, McCarthy is a frinkin’ genius.
In one move, he eliminated the threat from Gaetz and the Freedumb Caucus and achieved Uniparty victory.
If there is no ‘motion to vacate’ he wins and his enemies are destroyed.
If there is a ‘motion to vacate’ he likely wins (with democrat support) and his enemies are destroyed.
The Rino’s spirit animal is the snake.
It looks more like a leech to me.
Hard to tell for sure in the dark, though.
The 2 party system is a shame, and illusion to make you believe that you have a choice. One party brings you to Communism on the Bullet Train, the other takes you to the same destination on the scenic route. Vote Trump
The Democrat party fears their base; the Republican party despises their base.
Martha, Martha, Martha, let me count the ways they put us down, after that!!!!
So disappointed in Thomas Massie. I understood why he voted to allow the bill to come to a floor vote. But to actually vote for the bill itself!? WTF!?
He’s a DeSantis shill – the Uniparty, globalist, billionaires’ club puppet. It’s sad, but it’s better to have eyes wide open to see, even if it is so disappointing.
Ironic. DeSantis is against the bill that Massie voted for.
He is just another pig at the trough…just had some fooled. He never really was MAGA.
Massie wants to be Desantis’s Vice President.
“They do not have any chance of winning and they are not in the race to win. They are in the race to defend the interests of the professional Republican apparatus.
They are in the race to destroy MAGA and the American First agenda.”
Sundance, there is another element that must be added to this list.
They are also in the race such that if they fail at preventing a Trump nomination, one of them will be positioned so that it will be difficult for Trump to ignore them as a possible VP.
If the GOPe can’t have the whole ballgame, they will once again settle for having an insider who will knife Trump in the back every chance they get.
Of course, this presumes Trump would ever choose any of these snakes to be his VP.
I don’t think that this time President Trump will be so ready to accept a VP suggested by the Uniparty.
if he hasn’t figured out what’s up with the republican party by now, he’s retarded.
I appeciate Sundance highlighting the difference between grassroots, populist, MAGA conservatism and the RINO establishment.
Here are some items to look for when determining if a particular politician is a grassroots conservative versus a corporatist, globalist, establishment, neocon RINO.
• Look at the politician’s actions and not just their words, which are meaningless without corresponding action.
• They derive the majority or at least a substantial portion of their funding through small donations made by the general public rather than a few major donors who typically represent the will of the political and corporate establishment.
Nationally, the Federal Election Commission’s website and Open Secrets are good tools for researching campaign contributions:
https://www.fec.gov/data/
https://www.opensecrets.org/
Illinois Sunshine is a good tool for researching campaign contributions for politicians in Illinois: https://www.illinoissunshine.org/search/
• They advocate for nationalist policies that put the interests of America first over the interests of global elites.
• They advocate for the interests of regular people over the interests of the political and corporate establishment.
• They support policies in favor of individual rights and prosperity.
• They support limited government and only as much taxes as required to provide basic government services.
• They support the right of individuals to make their own healthcare decisions rather than supporting healthcare mandates imposed by governments, businesses, schools, and other entities.
These mandates would include, among other things, covid related items such as mask and vaccine mandates.
Many establishment and corporatist RINOs believe that healthcare mandates, including mask and vaccine mandates, are acceptable as long as they are imposed by private entities instead of governments.
I disagree. Being a private entity doesn’t allow one to override individual liberty. The delegation of tyranny to private entities is actually called fascism. There is nothing conservative or capitalist about favoring corporate power over individual liberty.
• They are readily accessible to the general public. They respond to public correspondence and regularly hold audiences open to the general public and not just the political and corporate establishment and major donors.
• They regularly travel throughout the jurisdiction that they represent do not just focus on where they perceive the most power is.
• They are willing to appear on independent, non-corporate media and not just major corporate media.
• Their campaigning honestly portrays themselves and their opponents, when they mention their opponents, and does not rely on lies.
• They acknowledge the existence of election fraud and the importance of election integrity.
• They support policies that favor peace at home and abroad over policies that favor unnecessary wars that enrich the military industrial complex.
• They support law and order while recognizing that law and order does not necessarily mean automatically backing the police in situations where the police may be in the wrong or enforcing onerous laws and mandates on the public.
Law and order means appropriately holding criminals and corrupt politicians accountable and allowing law abiding people to live in peace and safety.
• Politicians who occupy positions in government and in their respective parties that are appointed by their fellow politicians instead of being voted on by the public are often establishment politicians who were appointed based on who they know and how much they fundraise for the party.
These positions include majority and minority leaders in legislative bodies, house speakers, senate presidents, and appointed board positions, board chairmanships, and appointed positions in general.
• Establishment politicians will usually have the backing of most of their fellow politicians in their party, corporate interests, and mainstream media.
Grassroots politicians are typically supported mainly by regular people as opposed to powerful political and business interests.
Important read. Thanks!
I’d disagree with the assertion that the Democratic leadership fears its base. They’ve demonstrated time and again they have nothing but contempt for it. In fact, Democrats say the same thing about Republicans. They contend that Republicans fear their base, but Democrats disrespect theirs.
In point of fact, The establishment in both parties despise their constituents and actively work against them.
The USA has devolved into an authoritarian corporate super-state which has little use for the peasants who comprise it. The Democratic base favors an expansion of the Medicare system to cover the entire population. This was a key plank in Bernie Sanders’ run for the presidency. Support among Democrats is overwhelming- about 80%. The bosses in the D Party have no intention of ever delivering this to the public. They feign support for it, they claim they’ll fight for it, but it’s always shot down. The same tactics are used to circumvent popular policies whether it’s left or right.
They are importing new peasants, replacing our jobs with AI, hyperinflating our currency and provoking nuclear war.
they know the jig is up. they’re just trying to scrape the last few shekels off the table as fast as they can before the shtf
“The Democrat party fears their base; the Republican party despises their base. The truth of this very visible reality will never change.”
When will these respective ‘bases’ once known more respectfully as the People recognize they are victims of two tactical crowd management approaches emanating from one essential party?
It amazes me how many passive GOP voters there are who vote R no matter what, but can’t understand why the GOPe never follows through on their rhetoric. Too many suckered out there.
Because the Democrat base knew how to stay home on election day. Republicans faithfully turn out to elect the Party of Mitch every time.
The last election was 2016. It is all rigged now.
Kev is the lying snake we all knew he was. MTG is also a snake. Massie, guttless snake. The GOP party is dead.
MTG voted for unlimited spending. Color me shocked.
MTG rumored is she has earned $43 million dollars in her short time in office. I’d like to see the evidence.
I’ve been voting R for 50 years, with only a few exceptions.

For all these fools saying that Trump is going to loose in the primary and can’t beat Joe at the general are the same ones laughing at Trump running in 2016.
So pompous and so wrong.
Republicans hated and undermined Ronald Reagan, too.
Wow.
Anyone relate to this personally?
“We can never make a professional Republican a perfect sandwich that will stop him/her from abusing us. Quit trying.”
Democrat party fears their base, Republican Party despises their base.
Debt deal with Hakeem the Dream proves this true.
There are 5 people there. Trump’s rallys command 30,000+
It tells me Ron Desantis plains on using ballot fraud to be installed in the Republican primary.
Brilliant analysis that underscores the futility of being “Republican”… did we not just witness the established party help destroy Trump I?
Do we not remember Romney/Ryan tanking in their final push against Obama? What about the Boehner years? Or the “Contract With America” ruse in 1994? We have 30 years of Betrayal from these reprehensible reptiles…if not a third party now, when? It has been 160 years since the Whigs ( big government devotees) vanished and became Republicans…we are overdue.
