So much for that “Trump Ceiling” the professionally political media pundits keep telling us about, eh?   Not only does Trump lead the field in a large sample CNN/ORC poll (full pdf below), but he’s EXTENDING his lead:

Washington (CNN) – Donald Trump’s support continues to grow among those who say they are likely to participate in February’s Iowa presidential caucuses and Ted Cruz is on the rise while Ben Carson loses ground in the state, a new CNN/ORC Poll finds.

Overall, Trump has 33% support among likely GOP caucusgoers, followed by Cruz at 20% with Carson at 16%, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio at 11% and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 4%. The new poll shows Trump up 8 points, Cruz up 9, while Carson has faded by 7 points, compared with the last CNN/ORC poll, conducted in late October and early November. (more…)

Three Strikes and You’re Out !

Hey, wait a minute… Déjà vu all over again?  LOL – Didn’t we write that exact headline a month ago?  Why, yes, yes actually we did.  And yes, actually it was written for the exact same reason.  – SEE HERE

The exact same pollster “Patrick Murray“, with the exact same polling outfit “Monmouth University”, who conducted the only previous poll to showcase a “surging Ben Carson”, at the exact same time frame (week before debate), who did this twice, has published another, well, almost identical poll, this time for Ted Cruz. Strong in the fail is Mr. Murray.

Now, to fully understand how agenda-driven this pollster is you have to consider: Not only did Mr. Murray present the ONLY poll showing Ben Carson surging in South Carolina, but he’s also the ONLY pollster to previously show Ben Carson with a massive lead in Iowa.

But wait, it gets better.  Murray also presented each of his prior agenda-polls, at the exact same moment in time:  One week before GOP debate #2, and one week before GOP debate #3.  Noticing a pattern?

• Murray Poll one = Iowa for Carson (Striiiike one)
• Murray Poll two = South Carolina for Carson (Stttiiiirike two)
• Murray Poll three = Iowa for Cruz (Strike Three)

“yer, outta here like a fat kid in dodge ball”.

This was soooo entirely predictable that a few days ago I told a good cyber friend of the Tree House, who is a great advocate for Ted Cruz, to expect Mr. Murray to work the media narrative on behalf of the political machine.  Yes, we told him to specifically expect this poll today, specifically from this pollster, and specifically with this outcome. It is being reported that Enrique Marquez purchased the rifles in 2011 and 2012. The relationship is not very well identified.  Marquez checked himself into a mental hospital a few hours after the attack.  This story gets more weird as each day passes…..

CALIFORNIA – Eyewitness News obtained a photo of San Bernardino shooter Syed Farook’s former neighbor, Enrique Marquez, who allegedly bought two of the four weapons used in Wednesday’s massacre.

Marquez allegedly purchased the two “assault-style” rifles over three years ago. Authorities haven’t been able to talk to him because he checked himself into a mental hospital after the attack, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. (more…)

When someone can encapsulate the insufferable stupidity of a political presentation, and simultaneously eviscerate political parseltongue it deserves to be watched.

Michael Weiss watched President Obama’s oval office speech and then in two and a half minutes thoroughly obliterates it.  This is not just deconstructing a position – this is epic obliteration of a opponent’s argument. This is simply must see TV:
