Completely unrelated to the Thanksgiving holiday, overall travel is a hot mess. After a 5-hour delay and connections missed, I end up spending the night in EWR (Newark), writing this and waiting for a Saturday morning flight home. I look forward to a hot shower and the ordinary comforts of homebase.

My family and I just got back from Spain yesterday. We went to many churches along the way and in each one I prayed to the Saint of each particular church for the safety and health of President Trump.
It was a wonderful trip, but what was the most horrible was flying back into Chicago O’Hare. What a dump! Unbelievable how in disrepair, poor lighting, poor signage international arrivals in certain terminals are. I was embarrassed and disgusted by this first impression of our country to those who come to visit legally. Biden, Boot Edge Edge, and the Mayor(s) of Chicago should be ashamed of themselves, but they are not. Higher taxes in the future to pay for this farce!
We flew into Chicago Midway to avoid the illegal alien mess in O’Hare. Midway looked fine.

I traveled this summer to Eastern Europe with my family of 7 and the usual 14 hour trip turned into 24+ hours each way culminating in an overnight at Newark on the return with RUDE airline workers unwilling to even greet us as she stuck a slip of paper in my face with instructions for our hotel accommodation. We travel to see family each summer as we’re able but it has become such an awful experience over the last 3 years – it feels intentional – prior to 2020 it wasn’t that way. Traveling with 5 kids 11 and under presents difficulties but it has become so unpleasant and you’re made to feel your loss of autonomy as you hand over the driving to the airlines.
Seems like the unconstitutional Patriot Act and the ensuing TSA gauntlet was a dry run for masks, lockdowns and poison death shots.
