Michigan Contrast – Media Lies – Tea Party Vs. Union Activity

I doubt you could find a more apropos example of hypocrisy than comparing the media coverage of the leftist union behavior in Michigan against the ever-false media claims of violence from the Conservative Tea Party which remains mythical and non-existent…..

[Stella Writes]  In November there were two union-backed initiatives to change the Michigan Constitution; both failed. One would have given unions the constitutional right to collective bargaining in our state, which meant that “right to work” could not be passed here.   The unions spent millions, but lost.

Our governor [Snyder] has, in the past, said that “right to work” wasn’t a priority for him, and he felt that it was divisive. Because of the ballot initiatives backed by the unions, he has seen that they will do everything possible to push forward the power of unions, so he changed his mind on backing RTW, and today signed legislation passed by the Michigan senate and house.

Right to Work advocate and conservative voice Steven Crowder is punched in the face by IBEW union member Tony Camargo.   The union was attempting to tear down a Right to Work supporter tent with women and elderly people still inside.

(Via CNN) On Tuesday evening. Gov. Rick Snyder, a Republican, signed the legislation, which allows workers at union-represented employers to forgo paying dues.

Thousands of people, many of them union workers, gathered outside the statehouse, chanting and holding signs as snow fell.At least three school districts were closed as teachers traveled to Lansing to protest.

There are 23 states which have right-to-work laws, mostly in the South and western plains states, where union membership is relatively weak. Nationwide, union membership stands at 11.8%. (more…)

New York Times Layoffs in Newsroom….

The New York Times is attempting to save costs by implementing another round of newsroom staff cuts.   According to a memo sent by executive editor Jill Abramson this morning, the newspaper is looking for 30 buyouts among newsroom staff. Over the next few days, Abramson wrote, certain employees will be asked to accept voluntary severance packages. (Newspaper Guild members also have the option to apply for a buyout even if they’re not among those contacted by the NYT.) If the quota isn’t met through buyouts, Abramson will be “forced to go to layoffs,” she said. (more…)

Globalists Lament – Globalization Increasingly Unlikely: instant mass communications such as radio, television and the Internet,” have been cumulatively stimulating “a universal awakening of mass political consciousness”….

Zbigniew Brzezinski is the father of msNBC’s Mika Brzezinski. Zbigniew Brzezinski is also the modern political architect of the Globalists – The ‘behind the curtain’ far-left leftists. Zbigniew Brzezinski is also the personal *mentor to President Barack Obama and the key figure behind the political world view carried by President Obama onto the world stage.

Calling the notion that the 21st century is the American century a “shared delusion,” Brzezinski stated that American domination was no longer possible because of an accelerating social change driven by “instant mass communications such as radio, television and the Internet,” which have been cumulatively stimulating “a universal awakening of mass political consciousness.”

The former US National Security Advisor added that this “rise in worldwide populist activism is proving inimical to external domination of the kind that prevailed in the age of colonialism and imperialism.” (more…)

In Orlando a one woman protest, Lisa Lopez, joined with re-elected congressman Alan Grayson.   At least one worker went out on strike at stores in Ocean City, Md.; Orlando, and Baton Rouge.    The Huffington Post reported that 70 Los Angeles Walmart workers from nine stores walked off the job Thursday (avg 8 per store) in what the news site “hyped as” the first walkout by workers in multiple stores in the retailer’s 50-year history. Because The Media Need To Control The Psychological Inputs…

When you peel all of the toxic propaganda skin from the onion of public opinion, you recognize more and more the institutional leftist legacy “media” is the enemy of this republic.

Show me a challenging current day issue of public interest, any issue, and I will prove to you root of the cancer infecting the United States of America is the media. – Yes, it is that bad.

The extent of the media manipulation toward the position of the “collectivist” is so bad there is no longer a single ‘event’, significant or otherwise, they will not try to mold to fit their ideological view of the world.

The latest example is the creme filled sponge cake – The Twinkie. (more…)

Unionized Twinkie Compromise Failed….

(Via AP)  Hostess Brands Inc. lived to die another day.  The maker of Twinkies and Ding Dongs said late Tuesday that it failed to reach an agreement with its second-biggest union. As a result, Hostess plans to continue with a hearing on Wednesday in which a bankruptcy court judge in White Plains, N.Y., will decide if the company can shutter its operations.

The renewed talks between Hostess and The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union came after the company declared last week that it would move to wind down its business and start selling off its assets in bankruptcy court. The company cited a crippling strike that was started on Nov. 9 by the union, which represents 30 percent of Hostess workers. (more…)

What A Coinkydink – Last Week Obama Meets With MoveOn.Org and Big Labor – This Week The Same Groups Announce Black Friday Protests Against Wal Mart..

Wow…. what a coincidence huh?   Last Tuesday President meets with with Big Labor (AFL-CIO, AFSCME, SEIU etc), leftists from MoveOn.Org and Center for American Progress at the White House….  Then exactly one week later, THE EXACT SAME LEADERS, announce a progressive coordinated protest outside Wal Mart stores nationwide on Black Friday.

AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka (2nd L) talks to reporters, beside Executive Director of MoveOn.org Justin Ruben (L), SEIU President Mary Kay Henry (2nd R) and AFSCME President Lee Saunders. (Reuters)

The liberal group has sent emails to its list nationwide, urging a mass-protest outside Wal-Mart stores on Black Friday. The organization is encouraging people to strike against management even if they aren’t Wal-Mart employees themselves. (more…)

Bankruptcy Judge Says Try To Save The Twinkies – Mayan Calendar and Irony

The bankruptcy judge listened to Hostess request for liquidation of assets but noted a technical aspect.   The Union never entered any mediation – they just went on strike.  Thinking the average rank and file union member might have a divergent opinion now they they realize the company will indeed liquidate, the Judge says give mediation a try now, thinking the union will pressure the leadership to change opinion.

TWINKIE PRIDE – Hostess Brands Inc. and its second largest union will go into mediation to try and resolve their differences, meaning the Irving, Texas-based company won’t go out of business just yet. The news came Monday after Hostess moved to liquidate and sell off its assets in bankruptcy court citing a crippling strike last week.

The bankruptcy judge hearing the case says that the parties haven’t gone through the critical step of mediation and asked the lawyer for the bakery’s union to ask his client, who wasn’t present, if he would agree to participate. (more…)

Parasites Always Kill The Host – Eventually….

(Via RedState) With the demise of 18,000 jobs weighing on their shoulders (though certainly not their consciousness’) and just in time for the Sunday morning talk shows union bosses are now trying desperately to point fingers at the victim (and Mitt Romney) for the union’s strike that ultimately destroyed Hostess and its 18,000 jobs. This blame game is going on despite the fact that the bakers’ union knew that its strike could, ultimately, lead to the company’s closure.

Ranging from the AFL-CIO’s Big Daddy Rich Trumka to the bakers’ union bosses who pulled the trigger by calling the strike that killed Twinkie the Kid, unions are now in full spin mode to make America believe that it was the company and Wall Street–not the union that called the strike that caused the company to go out of business.
