The first pieces of an aircraft that mysteriously vanished in southeast Asia  Saturday may have finally been found.  Pieces of the Malaysia Airlines flight’s inner door and a piece of the tail  was found about 50 miles south-southwest of Tho Chu island, Vietnam officials  said Sunday, according to the Wall Street Journal.
CHINA – Thirty-four aircraft, 40 ships, and officials from no fewer than 8 countries are involved in the search.
That an international jet liner can apparently vanish while cruising at 35,000 feet, with no sign of a distress signal or trouble, has rattled the nerves and captured the attention of many. That is, after all, the safest portion of a flight.
Officials leading the search so far have been unable to identify a field of debris — which is unusual for a plane that may have plunged into the sea. “The fact that we are unable to find any debris so far appears to indicate that the aircraft is likely to have disintegrated at around 35,000 feet,” a source involved in the search told Reuters.

Not only does the stolen passports raise concerns, but how did each false passenger then gain visa’s into China.    Chinese officials authorizing the visa’s would have actually held those passports in order to approve the travel documents.   Hmmmmm ???  Curiosor and Curiosor…
(BLOOMBERG)  Two passengers on the Malaysian Airline System Bhd. (MAS) jet that disappeared with 239 people on board used stolen Austrian and Italian passports to board the aircraft, the European countries’ foreign ministries said.
Austrian officials contacted a man from the nation listed on the passenger manifest and found him to be “well,” Martin Weiss, a spokesman for Austria’s foreign ministry, said by telephone today. Luigi Maraldi, an Italian national also shown on the manifest, didn’t travel on the plane, spokesman Aldo Amati at the country’s foreign ministry said by phone. (more…)

individual liberty, peace, free trade, domestic stability among the many hallmarks of the “shining city on the hill”.  In very few other countries, do so many citizens have direct experience – having served, themselves – or a first degree relative connection to someone who has served in the armed forces. CHINA – At least 28 people were killed by knife-wielding attackers in a “violent  terrorist attack” at a train station in the southwestern Chinese city of  Kunming, and police shot dead five of the assailants, state media said on  Sunday.

Another 113 people were wounded, the official Xinhua news agency said,  revising down an earlier higher figure. It said the attack had taken place late  on Saturday evening.

“It was an organized, premeditated violent terrorist attack,” Xinhua  said.

Police shot dead five of the unidentified attackers and were searching for  around five others, it said. (more…)

Northern and central Virginia local papers are reporting on a very bizarre case involving the disappearance and death of a Virginia reserve police officer, Captain Kevin Quick, who served in the Waynesboro, Va Police Dept.

Kevin Quick was en route to visit the mother of his 4 month old infant daughter in an apartment complex near Barracks Road in Charlottesville, Va when he disappeared.  Police have been able to trace the movements of his vehicle, a silver Toyota 4Runner, in a bizarre pattern through central Virginia, up to Manassas in northern Virginia, and then back down again to Louisa County in central Virginia, where it was used as a getaway vehicle in a robbery attempt.

The Alarming Case of Justin Carter, Facebook “Terrorist”

[…]  When speech is a crime, thought is a crime, because when punishing speech the authorities are actually punishing what they think — or want jurors to think — was meant by the speech. Even when acting in good faith, people misinterpret. Since no one reads minds, it is a good thing the First Amendment protects our speech.

Unfortunately the First Amendment, like the rest of the Constitution, has been under siege recently. Otherwise any speech that does not represent a clear and present danger to other people’s safety would be protected.

Punishable speech is one area where liberty skates on thin of ice. Despite the obvious need for security, “terroristic threat” is another:

According to the indictment, Carter’s statement met two of the necessities required by state law: His words were uttered “with the intent to place the public or a substantial group of the public in fear of serious bodily injury,” or uttered “with the intent to cause impairment or interruption of public communications, public transportation, public water, gas, or power supply or other public service.”

Too bad Justin couldn’t have loaned the authorities his sense of humor, because that would never pass the laugh test.  (read the entire article)

The Curious Case of Ms. Rahinah Ibrahim

The story around the detention of Rahinah Ibrahim is so astounding a person of normal cognitive capacity might be unable to actually comprehend it.    She was stopped, detained, searched, hand-cuffed and then placed on a no-fly list back in 2005.   She sued the U.S. government to find out why:

After seven years of litigation, two trips to a federal appeals court and $3.8 million worth of lawyer time, the public has finally learned why a wheelchair-bound Stanford University scholar was cuffed, detained and denied a flight from San Francisco to Hawaii: FBI human error. (link)

The Error:  An FBI agent/investigator named Kevin Kelly was investigating Muslims in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004 when he mistakenly checked the wrong box on a terrorism form, erroneously placing Rahinah Ibrahim on the no-fly list.   Kelly simply checked the wrong box on a generic administrative form.

What followed is almost nine years of *EXTREME* governmental denial, by some of the biggest well known names in DOJ, NSA, and Homeland Security.   They, on behalf of the U.S. government, used every national security avoidance argument, all of it, all.of.it, simply to cover-up a simple clerical mistake. Coincidentally, John Brennan was CIA station chief in Pakistan (along with Zbigniew Brzezinski – pictured below)  while we were supporting the Mujahedeen against the Russian communists.  At the same time (summer 1981) college student Barack Obama and his pals, Mohammed Hasan Chandio, Wahid Hamid and Vinai Thummalapally travelled there.

The 1981 trip to Pakistan was unexpectedly noted in an April 2008 fundraiser .  We wrote about it HERE.

Just two weeks before this speech and surprise announcement of his 1981 visit to Pakistan, employees of John Brennan  (who would become Obama’s terror chief) were caught tampering with Obama’s passport files.

Coincidentally, it should be noted  that “Obama’s top terrorism and intelligence adviser, John O. Brennan, heads a firm that was cited in March 2008 (just before this April fundraiser) for breaching sensitive files in the State Department’s passport office, according to a State Department Inspector General’s report released July 2009. 

Coincidentally, On April 19th, 2009 the key figure Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., 24, who had been cooperating with a federal investigators, was found slumped dead inside a car.

Coincidentally, the “mystery Columbia Obama thesis”, was about, wait for it,…..  ”an analysis of the evolution of the arms reduction negotiations between the Soviet Union and the United States“.   Oh boy, who would have been around to write such a specific thesis paper for cover?   It certainly is in the proverbial sweet spot for Brzezinski, no?

So today – CIA director John Brennan told a congressional hearing Tuesday (TODAY – 2014) that security operators involved in Benghazi rescue efforts were required to re-sign non-disclosure agreements because the documents were being updated.

Brennan was pressed by Rep. Devin Nunes, R.-Calif., of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence about the 2012 Benghazi attack and why the security operators who were involved in rescue efforts that night were asked to re-sign their non-disclosure agreements. (more…)

Recent reports are indicating CIA Deputy Director Mike Morell was the person inside the intelligence community who was working to shield Hillary Clinton.  Mr. Morell  spent two years as the head of the CIA’s main analytic arm, the Directorate of Intelligence 2011 and 2012.

Morell became the interim CIA Director when General Petraeus stepped down due to his personal issues and convenient for the administration extra-marital affair.   [ Eric Holder’s FBI was holding all the investigative information over the affair – *wink* *wink*]

A September 15th, 2012 email from the Benghazi CIA Chief of Section, soon to hit the media cycle, essentially states they had been trying for days to politely say to the top of the CIA -political side- Benghazi was a direct terrorist attack and could not understand why the political side (career Morell manipulating story to non-career Petraeus) was spinning another story.

SEATTLE WA – Seattle police arrested Musab Mohamed Masmari this morning in association with the New Year’s Eve arson at Neighbours nightclub, says Detective Mark Jamieson.

The Seattle Police Department’s Arson/Bomb Squad had been working with a joint terrorism task force since the incident occurred in the early minutes of January 1, when someone poured gasoline down a flight of stairs in the packed gay bar and lit it ablaze. All 750 patrons escaped without injury.

SPD posted photos of a person of interest in the case on January 13, now believed to be Masmari.

Police say that Masmari, 30, was apprehended today outside of Seattle while he was traveling to Sea-Tac Airport. Detectives then interviewed Masmari and booked him into King County Jail this afternoon as a suspect in the arson investigation. The soonest Masmari would make a court appearance is Monday, according to Jamieson, who says police would “like to thank the public for their tips.” (continue reading)
