This picture taken yesterday was in North Carolina.  A gentleman by the name of Jim Furmen owns 86 Wendy’s Franchise restaurants and obviously feels a kinship to Mr. Dan Cathy and his pro-Marriage stance.    Dana Loesch has the details.  Good for them both to stand firm in the face of adversity.

Remember too, this is North Carolina, the same state which just held a vote to stop the possibility of same sex marriage forever.    The DNC is now considering adding same sex marriage as a party platform plank; meaning support for same sex marriage becomes an essential core tenent of their party.    North Carolina is also the site of the Democrat 2012 National Convention……  Pass the popcorn 😉

TEXAS “Tea” – Former state solicitor general Ted Cruz, a tea party-aligned conservative once regarded as a long-shot candidate, has won the Republican runoff in Texas, where he will be the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate in the November election. The Associated Press has called the race for Cruz over Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst. Cruz will be a heavy favorite over Democratic nominee Paul Sadler, who also won a runoff on Tuesday.

Cruz, an emerging conservative star whose father emigrated to the United States from Cuba, has drawn comparisons to Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and has been lauded by national conservative political pundits and groups for over a year. His victory is a major blow to the Republican establishment in Texas, which lined up squarely behind Dewhurst. ARLINGTON — Glenn Beck wanted to focus on one message Saturday night: It’s time to restore love.  Speaking before tens of thousands of people who packed into Cowboys Stadium, the conservative radio and TV host said it’s time “to love each other.”

“Here we are … to restore our purpose as a nation, to remember who we are as Americans,” Beck said. “America is great because America is good.

“We don’t need anybody to tell us all about charity,” he said. “We will let people know all over the world that we will be their shelter from the storm. … They are not alone.”

Beck talked about faith, love and country during a two-hour event that was billed as the “largest gathering of Patriots” and was filled with prayer, music and speeches. Organizers said more than 40,000 advance tickets were sold. (more…)

First The White House, well, more specifically President Obama uses an executive order, intentionally non-reported by the media, to give the DHS full control over all privately owned communication networks nationally.  Cell phone, internet, and land based telecommunications.

Then the White House authorizes, (again by non-media reported executive order) the regime enforcement branch (DHS) to use military spy drones for use in all areas of ‘national importance’ to enforce “citizen safety“.

Following, and in preparation for, the regime enforcement branch (DHS) orders 450 million, yes million, hollowpoint bullets.     While ammunition itself seems not too unreasonable of a request by a major federal entity that emphasizes domestic durability and safeguarding the country from coast to coast, the choice — and quantity — of its hollow point order raises a lot of questions about future plans for the DHS.

ATK says they won their contract with the US government by being able to provide them with 450 million HST bullets, which it describes as “the next generation in high performance duty ammunition.”

What does that mean, exactly? On their website, the contractor claims that the ammunition is specifically designed so that it can pass through a variety of obstructions and offers “optimum penetration for terminal performance.” Or, in other words, this is the kind of bullet designed to stop any object dead in its tracks and, if emptied into the hands of the DHS a few hundred million times, just might do as much.

The regime then quietly (february) demands a control enforcement mechanism nullifying the 2nd Amendment in any proximity to a federal government official.  –  The US House of Representatives voted 388-to-3 in favor of H.R. 347  (Feb) a bill which is being dubbed the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011. (Huffington Idjits) Less than one week after the mass shooting which left 12 dead at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., the Denver Post reports background checks for people wanting to purchase firearms in the state have jumped more than 41 percent.

“It’s been insane,” Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo employee Jake Meyers told the paper, saying there were already 15-20 people waiting outside the store when he arrived at work Friday morning, just hours after the massacre.

Over the weekend, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations approved 2,887 background checks for people seeking to purchase a firearm, according to the Post.

The spike follows an example set in Arizona, where gun sales soared following a shooting which left six dead and 13 wounded, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, according to Bloomberg.

That report cited data from the Federal Bureau of Investigations, which found one-day sales of handguns in Arizona jumped 60 percent two days after the shooting. (more…)

The current issue of ISNA’s bi-monthly magazine Islamic Horizons carries an article about ISNA’s demand for gun control.

Specifically, the article, with the unambiguous title “ISNA Seeks Gun Control,” cites the shooting of Trayvon Martin to explain their opposition to S. 2188, the “National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act of 2012,” and S. 2213, the “Respecting States’ Rights and Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2012.”  (continue reading)

This post is written from my perspective as a Bible-clinger and a perennial student of history.

Failure to recognize or accept the existence of evil in the world does not protect you from it.

Conservatives, people of faith, Tea Party patriots and normal, hard-working Americans have a high degree of difficulty with believing the worst about other people’s intentions.

We have been slow to recognize intentional evil in our midst. There are many reasons why this is so but my purpose is to point out that this level of deliberate evil on the part of a nation’s own citizens, campaigning for her destruction and planning evil against her, is nothing new. Not at all.
And therefore–as we know that--we do not have to feel apologetic or squirrelly or “on the spot” when we conclude that it is indeed appropriate to believe the worst about the intentions of some folks in places of influence and power.  It may feel like a very unfamiliar place for us to have to decide to take a stand.  It sure has felt odd for me.  But we didn’t go looking for this place.  It has come to us. A person who holds prog beliefs is, in my opinion, the lowest, most despicable, most dishonest, and most intellectually defunct form of personage ever.   The very essence of a prog is antithetical to foundational American principles and values.
Progs are ideologically indoctrinated early on in life to believe that “they” are what matters by pontificating and condescending parents who think their belief system is the only one of true value or measure.
After a few years of participating in everyone is equal, everyone gets a trophy for participation–regardless of contribution–type youth group stupidity, the little Dr Spock puppets multiply like gremlins dropped in the ocean.

Embedded, indoctrinated, and reinforced superiority from birth to adolescence creates an irreversible hybrid DNA strand.    They spew their pontificating airs-and-graces of how Corporations suck, capitalism is horrid, but don’t you dare take away the Mac-Books or I-Phones.   Insufferable.   Everything about a prog’s logic, thought, or moral superiority is hypocritical–everything.
