(Huffington Idjits) Less than one week after the mass shooting which left 12 dead at a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., the Denver Post reports background checks for people wanting to purchase firearms in the state have jumped more than 41 percent.
“It’s been insane,” Rocky Mountain Guns and Ammo employee Jake Meyers told the paper, saying there were already 15-20 people waiting outside the store when he arrived at work Friday morning, just hours after the massacre.
Over the weekend, the Colorado Bureau of Investigations approved 2,887 background checks for people seeking to purchase a firearm, according to the Post.
The spike follows an example set in Arizona, where gun sales soared following a shooting which left six dead and 13 wounded, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, according to Bloomberg.
That report cited data from the Federal Bureau of Investigations, which found one-day sales of handguns in Arizona jumped 60 percent two days after the shooting.
Gun stores aren’t the only ones seeing a bump in the wake of the tragedy. The Street reported Tuesday that shares of publicly traded firearm companies “have outperformed the broader market during the past two trading days.” (article)
Look at the ACTUAL poll they have following the article (screen grab below):
What the heck? “Will this solve problem“?…. as if people are buying firearms to beat the horrid problem of spray painted rooster head mad men strolling the streets firing aimlessly at anything that moves…. seriously?
Progs are Idiots. Insufferably detached idiots…
People are buying guns in record numbers because THEY FEAR the stupid progs are going to outlaw people from lawfully being able to get guns. That is why the spikes in sales!
Average every day normal Americans know quite well how this entire Knee-Jerk reactionary warmy, fuzzy, opportunistic legislation works; and we are left dealing with the consequences. So we plan ahead of the idjits writing laws.
Progs are just stupid. They view everything through their prism of intellectual superiority.
Will this solve the problem?
What a bunch of dolts.
