(Via Daily Caller)  Famed Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz ranks Sen. Ted Cruz among the school’s smartest students, adding that the Canada-born Texan can run for president in 2016.

Cruz was a “terrific student,” Dershowitz told The Daily Caller. “He was always very active in class, presenting a libertarian point of view. He didn’t strike me as a social conservative, more of a libertarian.”

“He had brilliant insights and he was clearly among the top students, as revealed by his class responses,” Dershowitz added. […]

If you are a regular reader of this site you are generally a person who engages in intellectual discussion on daily events and more than likely a root cause thinker. Meaning you are able to grasp events at their cause and not at their consequence. But for some reason, even those who understand big picture dynamics are still comfortable sticking their heads in the sand about “motive”. Most people are still clinging to actual beliefs around a principle of ‘rule of law’ that applies to National Leadership.

You’d better change that thinking quickly – or you’ll be asking ‘what happened’ far too late.

There seems to be a willful blindness on the part of the American people, a chosen refusal to acknowledge the implications of the unAmerican and unConstititional behaviors, actions and outcomes we are being served on a daily basis.

It can no longer be presumed to be a matter of “I can’t see what’s happening” because a whole lot of normal Americans really are clean and articulate.

“I can’t see it” just doesn’t cut it.

Wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with “Women Hunt” and quoting Shakespeare’s Henry V, Sarah Palin addressed the NRA-ILA forum in Houston, TX this week, opening her remarks with the bold statement:  “This is a Fight for the Future of Freedom”

As to be expected, Sarah Palin lives up to the expectation that she would throw out the red meat for the 2nd Amendment supporters.

She calls out the Corporate Media as the “poodle skirted cheerleader” for a “President who writes the book on exploiting tragedy”.

“Leaders who practice the politics of emotion”.

She moves on to address what she calls the “codependency of freedom and morality…”

“What can we do to nurture and support a people capable of living in freedom…”

Cue Prog splodey heads everywhere….

“We’ve had probably five or six lunches with a bunch of Republican senators standing and looking at Rand and Mike and me and yelling at us at the top of their lungs. I mean really upset. And they said, ‘Look, why did you do this? As a result of this I go home and constituents are yelling at me that I gotta stand on principal.” I’m really not making that up. I don’t even bother to argue with them… But, here was their argument. They said, ‘Before you did this the politics on this were all great. The Dems were the bad guys. The Republicans were the good guys. Now we all look like a bunch of squishes.’ Well there is an alternative. You could all just not be a bunch of squishes.”

Under the premise expressed by Law Enforcement of “exigent circumstances” the U.S. Constitution’s 4th amendment deserves a revisit.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.  [Fourth Amendment – U.S. Constitution] 

The Fourth Amendment (Amendment IV) to the United States Constitution is the part of the Bill of Rights which guards against unreasonable searches and seizures, along with requiring any warrant to be judicially sanctioned and supported by probable cause. It was adopted as a response to the abuse of the writ of assistance, which is a type of general search warrant, in the American Revolution. Search and seizure (including arrest) should be limited in scope according to specific information supplied to the issuing court, usually by a law enforcement officer, who has sworn by it. On Gun Control and The Will Of The Majority – The progressive left is once again selling the story of a dysfunctional congress, specifically the Senate, because they did not pass more gun control.  A Ridiculous argument.

I know it is difficult to argue logic over emotion, but anyone who has spent time understanding the construct of our Constitutional Republic will attest to the failure of ‘background checks’ actually being a mere outcome of a properly functioning legislative body.

Our founders did not endorse, nor did they advocate for, a democracy – this is Fabian socialist re-writing of history.    Read anything by James Madison, Thomas Jefferson or Benjamin Franklin to understand the intent of the constitution which binds the nation.

We were founded upon the principle of “individual liberty”, not a collective association.  A Democracy was considered only one step worse than a monarchy.   We were founded as a Constitutional Republic specifically and intentionally to restrict the influence of government in our lives.  (more…)

Rush Limbaugh did play the role of Captain Obvious earlier in the week and say the media would circle the wagons behind the killers if they are leftists.    Duh!

It’s much easier for the progressive media to find compassion for a man who killed 4 including a child, injured almost 200, blown the limbs of dozens of people, if the killer is a left-wing ideologue and Islamist to boot.  [Via Dan Riehl]

Had these been conservative, or Tea Party attributed killers, the media would hold no such sympathy.    Sickening, left-wing media bias…….. just sickening.

Cultural Marxism / Political Correctness – is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The Conservative Tree House (aka. The Last Refuge)  is the diametric opposite to this definition.   The absence of agenda is, in essence, the similarity behind our association.

Any form of “Cultural Marxism” is antithetical to freedom, because it belies the entire concept of openness, truthfulness and honesty – especially brutal honesty.

Progs, and liberals, democrats, fabian-socialists, and to a lesser extent other political interests, but for the sake of exhaustive definition “progs”, are hell-bent on controlling the optical narrative of all things according to an agenda they define.

Fabian Socialists = Modern Day Progressives. Modern Day Progressives are the Democrat Party. The Saul Alinsky approach is their preferred method of ideological advancement, and MSNBC is the primary professional media outlet for their messaging and optic systems.

Last week MSNBC ran a commercial for their network featuring Melissa Harris Perry.  The commercial was discussed in multiple forums because the message being delivered was “All your children are belong to us”.    Perry is a Tulane University professor and MSNBC host.

What is more interesting is the follow up commercial, the latest version.   This too outlines the Fabian Doctrine;  Only this one is about socialist economic models, the ideology of the economy the modern progressive movement are pushing right now:

MELISSA HARRIS-PERRY: Americans will always want some level of inequality because it’s a representation of a meritocracy.  People who work hard and sacrifice and save their money and make major contributions: we think that they should earn a little more. And they should have more resources. And that’s fine.

But we also however have to have a floor under which nobody falls. And if you’re below that, especially if you’re a child and you’re below that, we are not going to accept that. You do have the right to health care, and to education, and to decent housing and to quality food at all times.

This is EXACTLY the descriptive of Socialism.   AND it’s also the reason why this approach has been tried, and tried again, and always fails. (more…)
