I just realized something….. it’s not “Our House”.   From their perspective it’s “Their House”.   No-more White House tours, which the water-carrying media appear to accept, for anyone….  Unless they want to throw a party.

I’m reminded of what the Clinton team did to the White House when Al Gore lost the 2000 election.

The program will include performances by Alabama Shakes, William Bell, Steve Cropper, Al Green, Ben Harper, Queen Latifah, Cyndi Lauper, Joshua Ledet, Sam Moore, Charlie Musselwhite, Mavis Staples and Justin Timberlake, with Booker T. COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY – Former Weather Underground radical Kathy Boudin — who spent 22 years in prison for an armored-car robbery that killed two cops and a Brinks guard — now holds a prestigious adjunct professorship at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, The Post has learned.

Boudin, 69, this year won another academic laurel — being named the Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence at NYU Law School, where last month she gave a lecture on “the politics of parole and re-entry.” (more…)

As most people are now aware in the nation of Cyprus a system of forced confiscation from bank depositors was announced and refined over the past two weeks.    Any amount held in a Cyprotic bank over  €100,000 is now being forcibly “haircut” by 40%.   Meaning 40% of the holdings in any bank account are being taken by the government.   However, word now leaking that prior to the announcement – the President Of Cyprus removed dozens of millions from bank accounts and transferred to London, England.

In a somewhat stunning (or purely coincidental) revelation, ENETEnglish reports that Cypriot newspaper Haravgi claims that current President Nicos Anastasiades’ family businesses transferred ‘dozens of millions’ from their Laiki Bank accounts to London just a week before the devastating depositor haircuts were unleashed upon his people. Washington Times – A court may have shot down French President Francois Hollande’s attempt to stick the wealthy with a 75 percent tax on earnings above a certain amount. But he’s not giving up. Mr. Hollande’s new plan: Stick the 75 percent tax on businesses.

Companies — not individuals — would have to pay the high tax on any salaries that are paid over a million euros, under Mr. Hollande’s latest proposal, Newsmax reports.

“I am sticking by my pledge,” Mr. Holland said, as quoted in Newsmax.

The Socialist leader is trying to reignite a sluggish economy — as he promised during his campaign — but is facing dwindling poll numbers and approval ratings. His recent attempt to tax wealthy at a 75 percent rate was denied in a constitutional court.  (read more)

EGYPT – Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi warned Sunday of taking unspecified measures to “protect the nation” following violent clashes two days earlier between opposition demonstrators and Muslim Brotherhood supporters in Cairo.

“I am president of all Egyptians and I will not allow anyone to tamper with the nation,” President Mursi said in statement posted on Twitter, adding:

“If I am obliged to do what is necessary to protect this nation, I will do, and I fear I am about to do that.”

If you are thinking about taking a casual stroll to the grocery store in Cyprus today you might need to stop by the local ATM machine to get some euros.   Considering the banks have been closed since last Friday, more than likely you, along with everyone else, are out of cash.

However, you might want to consider taking along a helmet, gloves, body armor and perhaps a gas mask, as getting to the ATM machine might be a little more troublesome than one might initially presume. (more…)

Unions, like socialism in general, eventually collapse unto themselves.   Greed for unearned income creates a system where the frustrated and unappreciated host eventually stops earning.   Like a dependent drug addict, the parasite cannot stop demanding their unearned fix.  Eventually the money runs out….

CALIFORNIA – There’s nothing more embarrassing for union bosses than their own unionized staff striking against them or, in this case, threatening to strike.

In San Francisco, SEIU staff, represented by the left-wing Communications Workers of America, has been without a contract since their contract expired last September.

SEIU boss Roxanne Sanchez, according to the San Francisco Bay Guardian, is trying to get her union staff to give concessions on their pensions and health care.

Last week, after months without a contract, 94% of the SEIU’s own union staff voted to strike.

John McCain and Lindsey Graham Declared War on Rand Paul Today – Senator John McCain (R-AZ) took to the senate floor today and TRASHED Senator Rand Paul (R-KY). Sen. John McCain took the Senate floor on Thursday afternoon to respond to Sen. Rand Paul’s filibuster about drones — and made it abundantly clear that he does not in fact “stand with Rand.” Reading from the critical Wall Street Journal editorial urging Paul to “calm down,” McCain tore into Paul’s arguments.
