Corkins said he intended to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-Fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces, and kill the guard.” The prosecutor said they reviewed the family computer and found that he identified his targets on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s web site.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins later told FOX News that the far left Southern Poverty Law Center was responsible for creating the climate for the shooting.

WASHINGTON DC – A man accused of shooting a security guard inside the downtown Washington headquarters of a conservative Christian lobbying group pleaded guilty Wednesday in connection with the shooting.

Corkins pleaded guilty to one federal count of crossing state lines with guns and ammunition. He also pleaded guilty to one count of intent to kill while armed and one count of committing an act of terrorism with the intent to kill.

Those last two counts are District charges.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on April 29. (more…)

The unsigned and undated Justice Department “white paper,” obtained by NBC News, is the most detailed analysis yet to come into public view regarding the Obama legal team’s views about the lawfulness of killing, without a trial, an American citizen who executive branch officials decide is an operational leader of Al Qaeda or one of its allies. Many people are familiar with the term “RINO”, Republican in Name Only.  But that is NOT a Decepticon.   RINO’s are openly anti-constitution, anti-freedom and self-interested Big Government types (See John McCain and Lyndsey Graham).  Occasionally RINO’s align with freedom principles over issues like Benghazi.  But in general RINO’s are totally comfy with the TSA, The Patriot Act, and other freedom reducing aspects of big government.

Decepticons on the other hand, are the back-stabbing sneaky types; manipulative Super-Rino’s, or RINO’s on steroids sitting in Corinthian Leather chairs, drinking taxpayer-funded cognac, eating sandwiches without crusts, wearing pinky rings and plotting how to manipulate, and yet keep their machinations hidden.   Karl Rove, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Orin Hatch are examples of Decepticons. For clarity.  In concession, I personally am not against state-run background checks using all available secure databases.   However, I am vehemently against a national database of actual gun owners. There is a big difference, and one I have yet to see anyone articulate in the public media forums.

Meaning, once you have cleared the “state” background check hurdle, and are able to purchase firearm(s), no-one should know what, how many, or what type you own. Check the background, approve the purchase, and that’s the end of it. No further record keeping.

…. And NO.  No-one should TRUST this administration about this.  NO-ONE.

Discussing gun control, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on Friday told a Utah sheriff that if Barack Obama issues an executive order, that order is the law and the sheriff must obey.

However, jurisprudence on this topic reveals exactly the opposite.

As the head of the executive branch of the federal government, a president can issue executive orders only to employees of the federal government—and only regarding implementing federal laws or programs. A governor can likewise issue executive orders to employees of his state government regarding the laws or programs of that state.

Every sheriff is a county officer, elected by the voters of that county. The Supreme Court held in Printz v. U.S. in 1997 that the Tenth Amendment forbids the federal government from ever ordering any state or local official to carry out a federal program. Ironically, that case also involved a sheriff—Jay Printz of Montana—and a federal gun control law.  (continue reading)

Exceptional gun control.   Attacked by two thugs in a school Gun Free School Zone, one thug dead – another wounded.

DETROIT MICHIGAN – (WXYZ) – Police sources tell 7 Action News that a women’s basketball coach  from Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School shot two men who attacked him as  he was walking two female basketball players to their cars in the school parking  lot.

Police sources say the coach was walking the two girls to their cars when two  men allegedly approached and one pulled out a gun and grabbed him by his chain  necklace. The coach then pulled out his gun and shot both of them, according to  sources.

The man who shot the attackers was 70 years old, according to police.

One of the attackers was found dead in the median on Lafayette Boulevard, and  the other was taken to a local hospital, according to police sources. We’ve  learned that both of the men had attended the high school, and one had been  recently expelled.

Police sources say the coach has a Concealed Pistol License and is reportedly  a reserve police officer. They say he is fully cooperating with authorities.  (more with video)

You often hear of people who say the various jail and prison systems are breeding grounds for thug-like anti social behaviors for young black men.  The general talking points stem around when a young black man enters the correctional system, the subsequent environment just makes matters worse. Like entering a hierarchial system of organized cage match / MMA fights.

Few, if any, intellectually honest people are brave enough to admit the breeding ground for “Thug Life” begins far earlier than the engagements with the correctional system. Why, well, because it is a difficult yet obvious conversation.

Obvious because the behaviors are noted much earlier than the first time they are engaged with law enforcement.

Yet difficult, because when you admit it starts much earlier you put the burden of cause upon the parents.

Yet, isn’t that exactly where the burden of cause should lay?

Allow me to present exhibit “A” – Atlanta – New disturbing, yet typical, video footage has emerged showing an altercation at an Atlanta, GA strip mall. Unfortunately, the disturbance ultimately led to a woman being tazered by a security guard. (more…)

VIA BEN SHAPIRO – On March 23, 2012, President Obama announced that Americans had to do some “soul searching.” The reason? A seventeen-year-old young man named Trayvon Martin had been shot and killed in Sanford, Florida.

Now, what separated young Trayvon from all of his teenage peers shot across the country? What made him special, worthy of presidential comment? Was he an honor student? Was he a potential president of a Fortune 500 company? Was he on the fast track to curing cancer?

Probably not. Shortly before his death, Trayvon had been suspended from school for ten days for carrying around a baggie with pot residue. He’d been suspended two other times, once for missing school, and a second time for tagging “WTF” on a hallway locker; a security guard searched his backpack and found women’s rings, earrings, and a screwdriver. Authorities described the screw-driver as a “burglary tool.” He wore a grille in his mouth. He was tattooed. He dressed like a punk. (more…)
