Yes, you heard that right. The murdering, older brother who killed three and maimed hundreds more innocent people at the Boston Marathon, including an eight-year-old blown to bits has been offered a National Cemetery burial plot by a USAF veteran named Julie Frein. What?

No, in real life, heroes are just ordinary people putting one foot in front of the other, trying to keep their head above water, and when life sticks them in the middle of an issue – they choose to do the right thing.

The unselfish thing.

For no particular reason.

Such is the case for Charles Ramsey, the man who heard a woman’s cries for help and walked over to the neighbors door still holding part of his dinner from McDonalds, a Big Mac.

The raw honesty of the guy just exudes through his reaction and responses.    Such reactions and responses you would likely expect to see and hear from yourself, your friends, or your loved ones if they were in the same or similar circumstances. (more…)

Good grief.   The Daily Mail has some remarkable pictures of the inside to the house where the three women were held captive.

Ariel Castro padlocked the doors leading to his basement, his attic and his garage and never allowed his family inside, his son has exclusively revealed to MailOnline.

Update 1.  At least five babies were born at the house, while one of the victims suffered as many as three miscarriages because she was so malnourished, police sources told NewsChannel5.

Other sources told WKYC that the captors would beat the women when they were pregnant, meaning that the babies would not survive.  (link)

Update 2.  A source further noted that Knight told police that there was another woman in the home when she got there, but one day she woke up and the woman was gone. There is writing on the wall in the basement which includes the name of a female and says, “Rest In Peace,” but police do not know if that is related to the case at this time.  (link)

Update 3.  One neighbor, Nina Samoylicz, said that one night two years ago, she and some friends saw a naked woman in Ariel Castro’s backyard. They tried to speak to her, and a man told the woman to get down, she said.

“So we said something to him, (and) he told her to get in the house and he ran behind the cars and got in the house,” Samoylicz said. They called police, but they weren’t taken seriously, she claims.

A week or two after that incident, Castro erected tarps in the backyard to seclude it, she said.  (link)

Update 2:  Two More arrests.   In addition to original 52-year-old suspect Ariel Castro – (suspect photo below) Police are now reporting that his two brothers have also been arrested.

•Amanda Berry went missing in 2003 when she was 16-years-old
•Gina DeJesus disappeared when she was 14-years-old in 2004
•Michelle Knight disappeared in 2002 when she was 20-years-old

•All three women kidnapped on the same busy Cleveland block (link)
•All three of the women were found alive in a Cleveland home and are now being treated at a local hospital
•The 52-year-old man who owns the house has been arrested and is in police custody – Neighbors STUNNED !!
•The women had a girl with them, thought to be about 3-years-old

Backstory – Three girls who went missing a decade ago have been found alive after they were kept in the dungeon of a Cleveland, Ohio home. Amanda Berry and Gina DeJesus were found alive on Monday inside a house alongside a third woman identified as Michelle Knight. A 52-year-old man named Ariel Castro and his two brothers have been arrested and are in police custody in connection to the case.

The trial of George Zimmerman draws closer, so let me clarify some considerations, with perhaps a sense of urgency.   Some, heck, many, are searching for an agenda where none exists.

This is not a fight the Treehouse chose; This is a fight which chose the Treehouse.

First, The Conservative Treehouse (aka The Treehouse, The Last Refuge, the “nutters” et al) has never had any contact with the George Zimmerman defense. Never. Not Once. Ever. Not Mark O’Mara; Not Don West; Not either of their offices, interested parties, affiliates or representatives.

Recently I received advice, from a person closely following the Trayvon Martin / George Zimmerman story, to take some researched evidence to the “main stream” media.   So I did, and I’ll outline my experience below.   What follows is the exact reason why the Media is no longer considered a Fourth Estate.

One thing the media never does any longer is ask questions, the “why” questions.  You’ll notice the mainstream media, in a general sense, only reports on stories, and even then only on the stories they view are within the purpose of their editorial agenda;  And stories fed to them from daily newswires, or occasionally consultants, which they are paid to regurgitate.

“It’s a cost vs. benefit analysis”, I was told by a local Orlando media reporter, “we have limited funding for resources, and expenses, and so the editors only want to expend money on stories that will drive income”, they continued.

As I asked whether or not they would be willing to look into information, or even consider information if it were just presented to them, the response was also oddly disjointed when you think of the original purpose of a news gathering and public interest.

“If it pertains to Trayvon Martin’s criminal behavior, or evidence of burglary, we are not interested”, I was told.  “Our editors and editorial board have decided that nothing about that has anything to do with the events in Sanford”.  “Nor does that have anything to do with the shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman”.
