Wisconsin is one of those really progressive regions where the media talking about Black on White violence is strongly discouraged.  
Wisconsin is also the state which brought forth the collegiate “White Guilt” classes.
(PennLive) – With his blackened eyes and broken nose, Tim Bessette may just be the country’s latest victim of an urban crime wave known as the “knockout game.” Speaking from his hospital bed in Milwaukee this week, the 53-year-old says he’s lucky to be alive.

He remembers getting off the bus, walking down the street and encountering four youths. The next thing Bessette knew, he was sucker-punched in the nose. The world went black, and Bessette woke up on the pavement. And as he did, he heard the youths running away, joking and laughing. (more…)

(New York)  A nicotine fiend knocked out a total stranger on a Brooklyn street because he was angry that nobody would give him a cigarette — and then he did a victory dance because he “felt exhilarated,” police sources told The Post.
Michael Grant, 27, was trying to score the smoke on New Lots Avenue and Ashford Street at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, but lost his cool when he was turned down numerous times, he told cops.
He walked up to Pam Thompson, 41, as she was coming out of AA Nail Salon and clocked her square in the face, cops said. Her head slammed into the window, knocking her out cold.
The brute celebrated his sucker punch with a dance next to the injured woman’s body. He later told police, “I just felt exhilarated.” (more…)

Backstory:  OK, so I’m doing research into the New York City Councilman, Charles Barron, (and his wife – but that’s a long story)….. anywho….  So Barron is the guy who said that Blacks would only stop punching Jews in the face if the blacks are paid to stop doing it.   {I’m paraphrasing him, but essentially that was his position}…

[So researching this guy a bit, against the backdrop of the new openly socialist mayor, will help me to understand the connect-a-dots of stories which will stem from New York City over the next election cycle (2014).   So the research, this type of research, is not generally what I would write up a post about – it’s usually just to help me understand what is going on in the mind of the people who may eventually be in the story discussion later.   Mental reference cards so-to-speak].

But amid the way out there EXTREME edges of ideological stuff on this guy, I found a video he himself put on U-Tube to openly assist his rise in the political world.

Ironically the Sheriff of Lee County Florida, Mike Scott, also has a family member victim to the attacks.   His daughter was randomly punched in the face while walking in a now frequently similar circumstance.   The latest two attacks are in very upper middle class neighborhoods, home to mostly retirees.   The attacks took place their yards.
FORT MYERS FL –  Traveshia Blanks, of Fort Myers, is charged with two counts of battery on a person 65 years of age or older.

“I’m not gonna say it’s not right and it’s not fun, because it is fun,” said a teen familiar with the game.
“What’s not fun about it? Just go up to a random person, slap them and run away,” said another teen.

On Tuesday around 3:50 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a group of people who randomly attacked an unsuspecting victim in the area of South Pointe Boulevard. “I was in shock. Who would expect anything from out of the blue to happen like that. There’s no reason had I done something or said something,” said the 72-year-old Fort Myers victim. (more…)

[New York City]   Community leaders in East New York say that jobs are the answer to ending the so-called “knockout” game.

Councilman Charles Barron and other local activists spoke publicly for a second time about a rash of assaults involving young people punching unsuspecting victims. Barron says the root of the problem is that young people need jobs to help keep them out of trouble. (more…)

When President Obama said HHS/Obamacare  was going to enter a phase of “rebranding” he wasn’t kidding.    He only left out the part where taxpayer dollars would be used in the new imaging campaign…. and this is ONLY just the beginning.
Which begs the obvious question – If Obamacare is so glorious and great on its merits, why does it need a positive branding campaign?
WASHINGTON DC – With the roll out of Obamacare being as disastrous as possible for the Obama administration, one group was given a $1 million grant to help lead a rebranding effort with hopes of salvaging the law in the eyes of the American people.
Families USA (FUSA) — an organization that describes itself as a “national nonprofit, non-partisan organization dedicated to the achievement of high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans” — was given a $1.1 million grant by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on October 4, 2013, to gather “success stories” of Americans dealing with Obamacare and distribute them to the media who often refer to them as an “independent” group. This is part of a greater upcoming effort to bolster the perception of the lowly health care law. (more…)

“The Knock Out Game” – “Thrill Kills” – “Polar Bear Hunting” – “Cracka Smacks”

First the insufferable liberal media denials – (USA TODAY) Various news organizations are refuting the existence of an alleged phenomenon known as the “knockout game” that has been the subject of media warnings in recent weeks.
According to reports by CNN, the Today show, this news organization and others, the game takes place when a young person randomly assaults a stranger in an attempt to knock them out with one punch.
But police officials in several cities where the attacks have been reported say the knockout game is an urban myth, and that attacks that have received recent attention in the media have been random assaults, the New York Times is reporting.
“We’re trying to determine whether or not this is a real phenomenon,” the news organization quotes New York police commissioner Raymond Kelly as saying. “I mean, yes, something like this can happen. But we would like to have people come forward and give us any information they have.” (more…)

There are times when you read something in the media so completely flawed in its construction that a response is demanded.
It takes a remarkably highly toxic injection of obtuse to drag me back into the Zimmerman V. Martin conversation, but this recent article by Leonard Pitts Jr hits just the right formulation to require such a response.

Pitts writes “[…] a conservative movement which argues with airy assurance that American racism died long ago, disproves its thesis with its actions“; as he outlines how, in his perspective, any attempt to deconstruct the false media narrative around the Trayvon Martin shooting is evidence, by itself, of racist intent on behalf of the deconstructor.
In order to totally miss the point, completely avoid the actual motive of the critical engagement, and allow himself to assign racist intentions, Mr. Pitts continues this level of critical race analysis by saying:

“[…]  Why did some of us need Trayvon to be an angel in the first place? Why did they feel such a pressing urgency to magnify — and manufacture — his failings? Why was it so important to them to make him unworthy of sympathy?” (link)

At the Wisconsin State Fair in 2011 the Modern Version of the racially driven Knock Out Game began. Throughout 2011, 2012 and 2013 the attacks continued with exponential fury in St. Louis, Atlanta, Baltimore, Virginia Beach, Miami, New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey. 
The actual behavior comes under several differing geographic names.  “Knock Out Game”, “Polar Bear Hunting”, “Flash Mob” or just “Cracking”.
The most famous perpetrator of such an attack was a 17-year-old named Trayvon Martin.  Martin’s victim did not get knocked out in the first punch. You probably never actually knew about it, because the media chose to highlight the action of the white-Hispanic victim who shot his thug attacker in the heart as he defended himself.
However, recently the media began to catch on because several back-to-back attacks in New York and Washington DC have been highlighted. Fox and CBS news began pointing out the specific intents of these crimes and the injury and deaths they have caused. (more…)

Last August we outlined a murder of a young female college student, Megan Boken, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was sitting in her parked car when a black male, Keith V. Esters, 18, approached her, shot her twice, then jumped into a car driven by another black male and took off.
It was broad daylight, 2:15pm on a Saturday afternoon – on a busy public street at St. Louis University.
Three general red flags were noted:   •At the time of the shooting the media refused to publish the race of the attackers.   •In addition the motive was continually declared as “robbery” despite the fact that nothing was taken from the victim.   •St Louis has a long history of being unwilling to identify black on white crimes as racially driven.
Here’s the Update: ST. LOUIS • One of two teenagers charged in the Central West End murder of former St. Louis University volleyball player Megan Boken pleaded guilty this afternoon and was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
The main charge against Keith V. Esters, 19, of Bel-Ridge, was reduced to second-degree murder from first-degree. He also pleaded guilty of attempted robbery and two counts of armed criminal action. (more…)
