Suppose you don’t like dogs too much and your boss walks up to you and says: “hey, about that raise you requested…. I’m going to be considering it this weekend during my golf trip to Florida and I need someone to watch my dog – will you look after him while I’m away” ?   Would you feel pressure to do it ?

It seems like Ms. Sebelius announced her resignation just before this GAO report surfaced. Hmmm, curiosor and curiosor….
WASHINGTON DC – Former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius maneuvered one of America’s richest liberal philanthropies into contributing $13 million to Enroll America, a group founded by a former Obama White House staffer to drive up insurance enrollment numbers under the Affordable Care Act.
A report issued Monday by the Government Accountability Office shows what Republican members of Congress ave anticipated learning since 2013: that Sebelius called a total of five organizations a year ago and urged them to help Enroll America reach its goals.
One call went to the CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, which made $3 million and $10 grants to the group after hearing her request. That amount was a dramatic increase from the $150,000 it had contributed the previous year.

Five years ago many of us were talking about why the White House would take Census Polling responsibility away from the Dept. of Commerce.  At the time we did not know specifically why they were doing it – but we sensed it was nefarious.    We predicted it was a typical Chicago Politics strategy to mold comparative data that directly would show consequences to long-term policy.  We were right. 
WASHINGTON DC – In 2009, in the earliest weeks of President Barack Obama‘s administration, the White House made the controversial decision to take the unprecedented step of moving the Census Bureau from control of the commerce secretary over to the White House ahead of the decennial 2010 census.
Conservatives sounded alarm bells. “It takes something that is supposedly apolitical like the census, and gives it to a guy who is infamously political,” said Rep. Rob Bishop (R-UT) of then White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. […]
The White House dismissed the concerns of conservatives which were, indeed, unfounded insofar as they related to the 2010 census. But the fears of some that the Census Bureau could be corrupted by the imperatives of the political operatives in the White House was today proven accurate. (more…)

(Via Jim Hoft @GWP)  A Fitting End to a Disastrous Reign – Today outside the White House Kathleen Sebelius bid farewell to the president, officials and guests after resigning as head of Health and Human Services. And, as she bid farewell, she looked down at her notes and told the audience,

“Unfortunately, a page is missing.”

Sometimes the disconnect is obvious; other times the cognitive dissonance is fusion grade.  Chuck Schumer proclaims because everyone is talking about the ‘war on women’ it’s a sure indicator no-one cares about ObamaCare any more…

…. except it ain’t !  But God Bless em’ they keep trying to make it so.

WASHINGTON DC – Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), Senate Democrats’ messaging and political strategy guru, declared Tuesday that Democrats had turned the corner on the Affordable Care Act.

“This week, the talk is pay equity, not ACA,” he said, referring to the Affordable Care Act. “We’re going to have more and more weeks like that because we’re talking about thing that people really care about.”

The Senate will vote Wednesday on the Paycheck Fairness Act, which prohibits employers from retaliating against employees who make inquiries about colleagues’ pay.  (link)

First – the brutally obvious.    Four years ago the claim was made that 7 million enrollees were needed for the *initial* phase of ObamaCare to be a success.    And well, what do you know, the figure the White House touts today as VICTORY on the very last day, was 7,041,000.

Gee – what are the odds ?
Second – The entire reason to try and get ObamaCare passed was supposedly to “insure the uninsured” and we were told there were 35 million uninsured in 2009.    Of the 7 million signups touted, 5 million are those who lost their coverage DUE TO ObamaCare creating policy cancellations and re-enrolled through ObamaCare.     Of the remaining 2 million *enrollees* they are also counting 1 million Medicaid signups.
So this 2,700 page, $3 trillion healthcare monstrosity boondoggle has generated, at best, insurance for 1 million out of the original 35 million uninsured. (more…)

La Mesa California –  A local couple called 10News concerned after they received an envelope from the state’s Obamacare website, Covered California.
Inside was a letter discussing voter registration and a registration card pre-marked with an “x” in the box next to Democratic Party.

The couple – who did not want their identity revealed – received the letter and voter registration card from their health insurance provider Covered California, the state-run agency that implements President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.
They have lived in La Mesa for years and they have always been registered to vote Republican. Now, they are perplexed as to how the voter registration card pre-marked Democrat ended up in their mailbox. (more…)

TEXAS – The Obama administration has been helping to facilitate a series of events nationwide at Mexican Consulate offices to enroll people in Obamacare – and a key activist says the efforts are “our responsibility” regardless of citizenship.

“Whether they’re Mexican nationals or whether they’re United States citizens or whether they’re in transition– and if they’re there it is our responsibility within all of America to educate on the Affordable Care Act,” Enroll America Field Organizer Jose Medrano told Breitbart News on Wednesday.
Health Care insurance navigator groups hosted an Obamacare enrollment fair on Tuesday in the Mexican Consulate’s Brownsville office, The Rio Grande Guardian reported last Friday, where Mexican nationals among others were counseled about enrolling in the ACA.
