It’s obvious we need to spend a few minutes explaining the business end of modern politics for those who are unaccustomed to the process.
You might know the guy who owns/operates the family Hardware store near you. Or perhaps you are familiar with the generationally owned auto-shop in/around your town. Politics, as a business enterprise, is no different – many families throughout the country are as inherently inside the business as the family who owns the local store.

Additionally, from county to county these families know each other. They see each other, hang out together, meet at various functions and coordinate the various political enterprises that eventually lead up to the state level, and beyond.
In short, they are a network of familiarity, a network of insiders.
They also run the gambit of influence from the Barbour family in Mississippi, to the Prescott/Bush family of Colorado, Texas to Maine. Tight circles of interconnected acquaintances who meet at various times, and then convention together depending on political season. (more…)

It is really frustrating that many people’s comments do not understand the psy-ops of political manipulation. The power-brokers within the political apparatus are working earnestly to create “optics and narratives”. This is an ideological battle space – the GOPe are master manipulators of the electorate.
There is a reason why the State Republican Parties hold back data, and strategically time the release of data to frame media discussions and narratives. (more…)

The goal of any insurgency is to work earnestly against the ruling power structure.
Look closely at the avatar (pictured image) that I have continually used since we formed this Last Refuge.
What you’ll note is it represents a singular character who recognizes the power structure is two political parties that no longer represent the people; but rather represent their own interests, the “UniParty” of Limo-Democrats and Vichy Republicans.
DC representing their own best interests, financial interests, the interests of Wall Street and Globalists.
The Democrats and Republicans working together to maintain their collective place at the political trough, and a character personified by a patriot trying to dispatch that ideological alignment.
There is a very good reason why this little corner of the internet is labeled The Last Refuge. An example today is highlighted in Maryland at CPAC, where Speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, gave a speech and received a standing ovation from “conservatives” in the audience.
The “conservative” audience stood and cheered for a former chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, a federal “Budget Expert”, who only two months ago spearheaded the passage of an Omnibus Spending Bill giving the government unlimited spending and elimination of the debt ceiling. (more…)
