Remember, the Libyan Consulate was operating under a “US security waiver”. Meaning the Libyan consulate compound did not qualify as secure under the current risk guidelines, which include: minimum height 3 meter perimeter walls, steel reinforced entry doors, blast resistant windows, and 100 foot building setbacks – to name a few. So someone very high up in the White House or State Department had to sign an “authorization waiver” for the unqualified facility to be used. Who was that?
