Krauthammer: I find this amazing. First of all, just hearing him say every first grader in America has to be prepared for a high-tech economy, that is a bit early, I think. The other part of this is here we are with $16 trillion in debt, a trillion dollars a year of deficits. We have created already, with under Obama, the biggest entitlement in 50 years. And now he wants to create a new entitlement for preschool for every 4-year-old in the country.

The worst part of this, this isn’t just any new entitlement. This is an entitlement in an area where we know the $7 billion a year that we spend on Head Start doesn’t make any difference after the third grade. There is a study that HHS has done that showed that. So it’s failure and yet he wants to double down and to make it universal. That’s probably a definition of a liberal.

*Sigh*……so election 2012 has come and gone.   Even though most of us managed to survive Jan. 20th, there are still a few things some of us need to get out of our system. 👿   (Big Smile 😀)….now that’s a start!  But, I still think the DNC could stand to have a little more loving (aka disinfecting light) tossed it’s way.  Besides hating America 24/7, these evil jackwagons are obsessed with dragging our country into a bottomless abyss of soulless and financial depravity.  Not to mention the mindless droning of  hateful, insulting, and “raaycisss” epithets against anyone not marching in Teh One’s parade. -Corporate profits are high, but wages are stagnant… it is therefore our task to restore the unfinished task that [redistributes wealth] opens the doors to opportunity.

-The nations interests should come before party.   [cept’ I’m gonna work on my agenda regardless of what y’all want]

-We are more than 1/2 way (2.5) to $4 trillion in deficit reduction [400 billion/yr].  The question is how to cut more.    [Republicans want to kill essential services, Democrats want to protect them]….  We won’t grow the middle class by shifting more cuts, “we cannot cut our way to prosperity”…..   I say more “investment”.

-Medicare payments should be made only for essential services to the elderly.   Doctors should not be allowed to order any test they want…. they should only order the tests that “I” approve.   That’ll help.

-Why should deficit controls impact Social Security?   We just need to raise more taxes, close loopholes, insure millionaires cannot avoid payment, stop companies from moving overseas and reform the tax code. (more…)

WASHINGTON – President Obama will have lunch Tuesday with several TV anchors and hosts, fulfilling a White House tradition held the afternoon before giving the State of the Union address.

The annual lunch, which is off-the-record, allows the president to frame his upcoming speech before influential figures in TV news, all of whom will be leading or part of their networks’ coverage later on. While Obama will personally give anchors a sense of what he’ll outline in the address at the 12:30 p.m. lunch, White House aides have already been speaking to reporters for days — typically not for attribution — about what to expect on Tuesday night. The President Obama White House has three current “priority issues” in the works.   Gun Control, Immigration Reform and Climate Change (energy reform) as current important objectives.

Compare those three to the Priority List of Americans in General.   Where do they fall?

Is this just a ridiculous nanny state dictate;   Or is this a freedom test?

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick has declared a state of emergency for blizzard that could bring near 3 feet of snow.

Patrick signed an executive order banning all vehicles from roadways starting at 4 p.m. today. Ban applies to all roadways, including highways and secondary roads. Any one caught driving after 4 p.m. faces up to one year in jail and $500 fine.

Patrick said the blizzard is “a profoundly different kind of storm than we have dealt with” and the projected snowfall rate of two to three inches per hour will “make safe travel nearly impossible.” (more…)
