Yesterday we shared an article from a Gannett Publication “The Journal News” located in New York.   Many persons were, and are, outraged this media publication sought to publish the full names, addresses and contact information of lawful registered gun permit owners – essentially handgun owners.

The political ideology of the publication is abundantly evident in their articles, and to a larger sense visible within the editorial board who would advance such a decision to publish information.    They hold far-left views.

Their decision to publish the registered gun ownership visibly exemplifies one of the most vocal arguments by Second Amendment advocates who rail against registration.  Namely, f a political decision to confiscate was ever carried out only those who have lawfully abided by registration laws would be subject to confiscation.   But there’s more. Let’s hope the economic turn away from “stuff” is met with a purposeful turn toward “fellowship and faith”.    Alas, the most likely outcome is for Progs to demand that Obama fill the void and put government subsidized presents under their trees…. it’s only fair.

OBAMANOMICS WORLD  – Nowhere was the traffic void this weekend more evident than the Saks flagship store in New York City, with sales down 20 percent.

Just Wednesday I warned on CNBC’s “Street Signs,” business at Saks seemed particularly slow going into holiday. The level of markdown inventory the week before Super Saturday told the story, as did the ability to hear a pin drop during a 60 percent off sale. Sales associates are simply at a loss to explain why the customer has not shown up. Some are telling me this is the worst they have seen during their career with the company. (more…)

Below is a screenshot of their map, if you hover over each red dot it displays the name and address of the person licensed to own a handgun.  Perhaps someone should publish the names and addresses of all the homes who do not have active home security systems ?

(Gannett Owned Journal News)   The map indicates the addresses of all pistol permit holders in Westchester and Rockland counties. Each dot represents an individual permit holder licensed to own a handgun — a pistol or revolver. The data does not include owners of long guns — rifles or shotguns — which can be purchased without a permit. Being included in this map does not mean the individual at a specific location owns a weapon, just that they are licensed to do so. (more…)

Just another case of insufferable progdom. It’s outrageous that NRA head would recommend armed personnel in schools, yet same prog inquisitor has 11 armed guards in school surrounding his kids.

WASHINGTON DC – David Gregory mocked the NRA’s Wayne LaPierre for proposing that armed guards be at every school in America. But the NBC host seems to have no problem with armed guards protecting his kids everyday where they attend school in Washington, D.C.

“You proposed armed guards in school. We’ll talk about that in some detail in a moment. You confronted the news media. You blamed Hollywood and the gaming industry. But never once did you concede that guns could actually be part of the problem. Is that a meaningful contribution, Mr. LaPierre, or a dodge?,” asked Gregory. (more…)

Yesterday a petition to deport Piers Morgan was started on that stupid White House issues website. It got over 16,000  20,000  26,000 signatures with little to no publicity.

A new study by the respected National Bureau of Economic Research found that Progressive policies in general, and Democrats specifically were to blame for the subprime mortgage crisis and subsequent economic collapse.

Investor’s Business Daily reported:

Democrats and the media insist the Community Reinvestment Act, the anti-redlining law beefed up by President Clinton, had nothing to do with the subprime mortgage crisis and recession.

But a new study by the respected National Bureau of Economic Research finds, “Yes, it did. We find that adherence to that act led to riskier lending by banks.”

Added NBER: “There is a clear pattern of increased defaults for loans made by these banks in quarters around the (CRA) exam. Moreover, the effects are larger for loans made within CRA tracts,” or predominantly low-income and minority areas. (more…)

Regarding Fiscal Cliff Negotiations …Mr. Obama repeatedly lost patience with the speaker as negotiations faltered. In an Oval Office meeting last week, he told Mr. Boehner that if the sides didn’t reach agreement, he would use his inaugural address and his State of the Union speech to tell the country the Republicans were at fault.

At one point, according to notes taken by a participant, Mr. Boehner told the president, “I put $800 billion [in tax revenue] on the table. What do I get for that?”

“You get nothing,” the president said. “I get that for free.”  (article)
