There are some easily predictable outcomes now evident from the midterm election results. At a top-level initial review here’s the direction of greatest likelihood.
BASELINE: Democrats, Leftists and DSA want power; Republicans, corporatists and NRSC want money.
WINNERS: Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Mark Carney, EU-NATO, King Charles and Commonwealth, Globalists, Donald Tusk, Brussels, Chairman Xi, Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu, Climate Change Inc., and “middle powers”.
LOSERS: President Trump, JD Vance, Karol Nawrocki, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, Tech Bros., Elon Musk, DHS, ICE, DoW, Jensen Huang, Mike Johnson, American middle-class, auto workers and Border Security interests.
OUTCOMES:
(1) Gasoline prices, specifically diesel fuel prices, will likely drop very fast; election objective fulfilled.
(2) For a few months datacenter expansion and approvals will be paused. Datacenters will restart after the federal regulatory sub-agency is created and a series of ‘indulgency fees’ determined. [Similar to Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)]. Those impact fees will be very lucrative.
(3) Congress will quickly act on pre-written legislation to slow AI and introduce government regulation; likely a new regulatory agency will be created and taxes assessed on AI investment under the justification of AI economic impact. AI investment fees and federal datacenter impact fees will be distributed to fungible DNC/DSA aligned NGOs (foreign and domestic) to replace missing USAID funds. They also spread memes of Anakin Skywalker being failed by the Jedi (cast as Leftist Boomers who insist we shouldn’t judge the Tusken Raiders for raping and killing Anakin’s mother while despite everything he’s done, being passed over for promotion in favor of DEI hires) and misled by Palpatine (an old man playing both sides of a war while promising that he understood Anakin’s pain… but really only wanted to use him as a tool against his enemies). Destroying the former and then the latter to save his son makes him a hero to them.
They simultaneous express yearning for a loving wife and many children to raise. They want a future and are perfectly aware of who is responsible for why things are as they are.
The point is, don’t believe that all is beyond hope. God will work wonders through those who come to follow him… and there are many among the younger generations looking to do just that.

Those rules could have been selectively waived anytime Thune wanted, but he didn’t want to pass the things that Trump wanted and especially not the SAVE Act. The filibusters, whether the original ‘talking’ filibuster or the ‘zombie’ filibuster that has only existed since the 1970s, are not in law or the Constitution. Those are only spelled out in Senate rules, and through use of the so-called ‘nuclear option’ it only requires a majority vote to change. The process is such that it would almost always need the support and involvement of the Majority Leader, but Thune was not that man.
I guess we will see early next year how Schumer wants the rules changed. Unlike do-nothing Thune, the new Democrat majority will not hesitate to do whatever they think is necessary to advance their agenda. And since they do not intend to lose the majority again, they will not be too concerned with how they go about it.
These are the short term implications, looking over the horizon how much worse does it get. If Texas and Ohio are now commie blue, does the country turn into California, the EU or communist China. The line between them being blurred anyway.
