Yesterday at approximately 4:00pm a large fire broke out at a Canadian military base and spread quickly. CFB Wainwright (Canadian Forces Base Wainwright) is situated adjacent to the Town of Wainwright in east‑central Alberta.
CFB Wainwright is one of Canada’s busiest military training bases, where soldiers prepare for combat operations. It is home to the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre, which conducts realistic battlefield exercises, and the 3rd Canadian Division Training Centre, which provides military training. {LINK}
Media reports, citing unnamed military sources, {LINK} said that a live-fire training exercise hit a gas line or gas well on the base, causing an explosion that spread as a result of high winds. High wind gusts reaching up to 100km/h fanned the flames, causing the blaze to spread rapidly beyond the base’s perimeter and into the adjacent Municipal District of Wainwright.
A doctor at a hospital in the city of Edmonton, 180km (120 miles) northwest of Wainwright, told Canada’s national broadcaster patients were being brought to hospitals across the city as its health-care facilities became “completely overwhelmed” by the number of people requiring care. Today, Prime Minister Mark Carney confirms that four servicemembers were killed and several dozens were injured. WATCH:
.

RIP fellow warriors….
Let’s hope your sacrifice was not in vane….
Prayers for the survivors….
So sad for those families
Prayers for those killed and injured. Canada is gonna be a mess.
Gonna be, hell it already is. Liberal communism is destroying freedom , morality and prosperity. Canada is going down and America better start paying attention. The millions of others you have allowed to live your country will destroy what you think you were. Please start paying attention.
May God welcome those lost, and comfort the survivors. 🙏
Just mho, this does not look like a man that is grief stricken over the loss of life, but of one who is guilty and an accessory and is trying to act sorrowful. What a travesty! This man is truly despicable! May God have mercy on him.
And he’s got awfully bad (neck) posture too.
I want to know the name. Who fired the munition that struck the gas?
No mention of any live fire in the Cdn news. Just a wild fire out of control (so says the military).
Sadly I fear it’s way worse than this.
Check out both pages of today’s Presidential Politics for extensive details from a wide variety of non-MSM sources.
They are being very vague with the news. They should have a clearer number of injured by now. Several dozens could mean anything.
They are reporting 7 dead and scores injured here.
not sure what that emans in real numbers, from not fake news journalism.
God bless the lost and injued, and familys.
Terrible mishap.
“Terrible mishap.” My money’s on another nidal hasan at fort hood.
Short Version Carney: “Nothing to see here. Move along.”
(I don’t believe him, and neither do a whole lot of others.)
Sincere condolences to the loved ones and best wishes for a quick and complete recovery for the injured. I may not agree with Carney politically, but I do not wish this sort of tragedy on anyone.
The memorial condolences are for Canada, herself. Way to go, green welfare state .
Trying to flex muscles you have not used in a long time can be very painful. Pray for the best for all those injured.
False flag.

yep!
Yeah, that would certainly fit what’s going on these days. That would mean canada wasn’t really attacked here.
Another possibility is that they got nidal hasan’d here. That would mean canada DID get attacked (assuming, of course, that hasan wasn’t fake).
Lots of possibilities fit at this point. But it sure seems like canada is in extra trouble right now.
These national “leaders” who are forever role-playing, accustomed to deceiving, and obviously in over their heads, are completely useless when real time responses are needed.
His efforts remind me of the story about the boy who cried “Wolf!” once too often … and that is horrible because the families of those who died are actually dealing with the wolf. Now the wolf is here, and he doesn’t know how to make real comments. They will support one another–he is useless.
I made it to the two-minute mark.
The Canadian Carpetbagger doesn’t care how many lives of military personnel were lost or their families but the sympathy he will gladly soak up.
100% That piece of garbage isn’t even a good actor. Next he’ll come out drooling how it was all Trump’s fault
No he does not…
Not military lives or anyone else’s for that matter.
And so we have this…
Legislation to allow euthanasia WITHOUT CONSENT for those at the point of death.
Otherwise known as State Sponsored Murder.
The natural end game for Canada’s/Carney’s claim of “compassion” with MAID.
(The “Advance Request” part as described will eventually be jettisoned.)
https://righttolife.org.uk/news/canada-to-permit-euthanasia-for-individuals-incapable-of-consent-at-the-point-of-death-via-advance-requests
Edit: Jst as it matters who counts the ballots, all depends on who decides the “point of death” has been reached.
Not being tin-foil hat here, but isn’t Alberta the province that is supposed to be voting soon on leaving Canada? Haven’t heard much about that or I missed it.
No tinfoil titfer required me old China. 😉 But you did miss it.
It’s one of the recurring themes on both pages of today’s Presidential Politics wrt this incident.
I compare the declaration of Alberta leaving CN to US politicians proclaiming this time we will eliminate daylight savings time.
We did eliminate daylight savings in Alberta. So there’s that.
Those nut cases living in Alberta would be better served just moving to Alabama or Arkansas. They’d probably hate the warm climate, though!
Personally, I couldn’t take the heat of the American south.
It does get to below -40C sometimes in winter though.
The Alberta referendum takes place tomorrow.
very interesting timing. Who always says, there are no coincidences?
I do.
That would be Gibbs rule #39, there is no such thing as a coincidence.
The Gang who could not shoot straight. But why should they since they dump all their defense needs n the US.
What a great NATO partner.
I can see why they prevented early full disclosure ……. calling it a delicate. matter first . Alberta, time to bail out of Canada and come join the Lower 48.
We don’t want them. They could be a territory if they want but not a voting populace.
Yeah, this is 100% for sure. I have cousins that live in Canada and are considered “right-wingers” up there. They would be straight ticket democrats in the USA, if they voted here. Who knows, they might be voting here too the way our voting system has been subverted…….
Either way, we don’t need any more hurdles to save our country. We have enough now.
Let’s not forget that if Alberta separates, it has the option to become a country as well as to join the US.
If it did, it will be roughly the same as Norway by population, better off by oil reserves and GDP, minimal suicidal empathy and way less “cultural enrichment”. Revenues would be about $60bn higher than today because no more equalization payments to Ottawa.
And it could shake off the Carney green grift costs and limitations, and trade even more with America under fair trade, not free trade terms.
Lastly it would have some leverage with BC and eastern provinces as all rail and road traffic would need to pass through it.
For my part, either works for me. I just have to get over there! 🤞
Live fire exercise, high winds, gas wells/lines…
Sounds like good planning.
Remind me to not call on the Canadians in a fight.
Maybe sometime in the past, but now????
Unless the weather is extreme and this wasn’t, training goes on. Military trains in all conditions. War is fought in all conditions.
As for the gas lines, there is more to the story that we have not heard yet. This base does a lot of training and those gas lines and wells have been there all along.
Sad for the Canadians lost. The nearby base I retired from does a ton of training. Could’ve simply been a short-round (defective) that didn’t make it from the firing point into the impact area.
I thought the same thing when I read it, What could go wrong, high winds with live rounds next to gas lines. Something Liberals would think of doing.
Allegedly some genius allowed gas pipelines to cross the impact area sometime back in the 1980s.
https://x.com/DD_Geopolitics/status/2111691170917110082
But Canadian military is denying any gas infrastructure was involved
https://www.nationalobserver.com/2026/10/18/news/documents-show-gas-infrastructure-near-wainwright-explosion
No word on whether any gas lines were accidentally hit in training or if any were “NordStreamed.” (I wonder if there were any rented yachts manned by Ukrainians nearby.)
Now 7 and nothing from the CBC. Many, many currently overwhelmed active care centers. Tomorrow, Alberta votes on their future.
My guess is they had some “nu-Canadians” training there who caused the blaze due to extreme incompetence.
Sorry for their loss. Isn’t Alberta voting for independence.
Last I knew the vote in Alberta was not for independence per say. More so about procedures and staging for a future vote for succession.
They can check out of Canada, but they can never leave.
Stopped listening after the first ten seconds when he blamed it on a wildfire.
One thing is for sure-we won’t get the truth
Maybe they were training for the US invasion.
Maybe they were training Ukrainian soldiers. Or Chinese.
They have been recruiting Muslims and foreigners to act as Hessian Enforcers over the white Canadians they don’t manage to murder with MAID, Medical Assistance in Dying.
What a horror!
I don’t always hold live fire artillery exercises when extreme winds are forecasted, but when I do, I make sure to hit a gas well while doing it.
The Canadian military and their outright incompetence killed these people and directly caused this catastrophe. This extreme weather event was forecasted and anyone could have easily just postponed the exercise for a single day, but no.
Guess we don’t have to worry about a Canadian invasion for a few more weeks.
That’s a relief, isn’t it.
So they did not know a gasoline was in their IMACT ZONE. Great planning now take away their toys.
HUMM maybe check impact range for gasoline’s next time.
They opened the Secession Voting early.
ps; almost every major disaster, shooting, bombing or terror attack in America has Deep State sponsorship. Not every one, but almost every one. To include Charlie Kirk and PDT’s own assassination attempts.
Canada, too.
-1; Posted nonsense.
They didn’t blame Trump? What gives
Something is not right here. Either they are lying or extremely incompetent. Or both. There is no way, no way you practice live fire around gas lines, oil wells, etc.
When I first heard the news I thought they said CFB Do-Right
The narrative is changing by the hour. From 7 to 4. From 150 injured to dozens. From live-fire training exercise that hit a gas line or well to a large fire broke out and quickly spread….. From code orange to a normal day for hospital emergency rooms. As a Canadian, I am not buying the ”pig in a poke” that Carney is trying to sell Canadians.
I do not believe in coincidences. As Einstein so famously stated, ”God does not play dice with the Universe.” Events do not happen randomly; they are deterministic.
Oh well Carney. You get tyranny when you push your people.
I feel sorry for Canadian citizens.
All by design!!
It reeks of negligence. Military exercises near a gas line. Sad for those killed but this shows Canada is a weak nation militarily speaking.
Carney immediately went into deflection and minimization mode by describing the cause of the mass casualty incident as a “wildfire”.
The base was conducting military combat training exercises with an estimated 300 recruits (soldiers), possibly as many as 500, from various countries; the base has for years trained foreign soldiers and private contractors.
These past few years the base has trained personnel for combat readiness in the Ukraine.
The reason for keeping a lid on specific details early on is that the mass-casualty incident happened at a military installation.
Because there are personnel at the base from other countries, it is an international incident and the situation is very sensitive.
Canadian national security is a factor and the authorities are not required to give details to the public.
To make matters worse, the base is located in Alberta, a province that has been seriously considering removing itself from the clutches of a failing nation.
What better reason now for Alberta to make a timely grand exit?
Instead of trying to spin the story into a non-event Carney needs to tell the truth about it and take responsibility for dragging Canada into the mess they’re in, including training military personnel for a war zone on the other side of the world where they have no business whatsoever.
This is the fault of Carney and his warpig cohorts.

Carney calls it “a violent fire.”
His dancing around the cause of this tragedy is starting to make me wonder if the so called errant shot was intentional
Live fire activity during high wind conditions. Must have partnered with California National Guard

Back at ya. I served 18 months on the Confidence out of Kodiak AK. Those 210’s were a rough ride.
Dang. It’s starting to seem like Canada is cursed.
One thing after another happening up there the last few weeks.
Are their Red Chinese buddies sending help?
INCOMPETENCE
Sad the fourth turning
While tragic, if a few dozen injuries( very likely severe burns) and several death overwhelms what is likely a Level 1 trauma center.
Something is definitely wrong.
Perhaps the Canadian welfare state and universal healthcare system which requires approval and waiting periods for standards of socialized medical care requires scheduled and advance warnings of mass trauma events.
Or maybe the doctors are all busy, assisting “suicides.”
MAiD must be a heavy drain on personnel…
May the victims RIP.. this has really hit me wrong.. With all the chaos in Europe and lead clown working so hard to be part of the EU .. what are the chances this was not an accidental live fire..? A very large percentage of their population was not born as Canadian citizens..
From https://x.com/erik_thorvalds/status/2111704228171563313 – “4. The fire then burned into base ammunition storage, causing a mass casualty incident.”
Assuming that’s true, I guess stored ammunition exploded, which killed and injured several people.
Early reports said the base hospital was full, the city hospital was full and they took over an elementary school to use as a hospital. They estimated at least 150 injured which is a lot more than a few dozen. Carney is behaving like a politician and lying to Canadians.
This seems to me to be about the most plausible update so far:
https://x.com/tleehumphrey/status/2111849332291125415
That sounds more authentic than the incident being start by a violent fire. It would also lend credibility to the stories we heard following the incident of hospitals being overwhelmed, schools being used as triage centers, and help coming from many points across Alberta and even Saskatchewan.
Why is Carney so afraid to just tell it as it happened?
I suspect a couple of reasons.
Highly plausible and the least convoluted theory.
My question would be, given the state of the CAF, how old were the HE rounds the 84 was firing? I know last year they modernised the C Gustav to the Mk 4 and purchased advanced AT ammo, but did the contract with Saab include advanced HE shells, or do they draw those from older inventories (CW period?).
On a side note – although Carney is a twat of the highest order and richly deserves ridicule, scorn and mockery I don’t think those reactions should extend to the Canadian soldiers who have been killed or injured simply soldiering.
Anyone can read the Alberta Referendum Items being voted on tomorrow at https://www.elections.ab.ca/elections/referendum/
As for this incident, and if there is a connection (because accidents happen, and military personnel are killed in training far more regularly than the public at large knows) it’s always easy to connect a few dots or frame an issue to appear a certain way. This is my attempt to establish some things that are known to be true — things that may or may not be connected.
A destructive and chaotic situation developed on federally controlled territoryIt spread into the surrounding public domainFollowing normal military protocol for major peacetime disasters, the base was placed under a communications lockdown while immediate operations and family notifications were handled.CFB Wainwright is one of Canada’s busiest and largest military training facilities, housing the Canadian Manoeuvre Training Centre for complex battlefield and live-fire simulations. The base was hosting major seasonal exercises when the fire broke out.CFB Wainwright serves as the Canadian Army’s “functional centre of excellence” for complex, live collective training. The simulations held here are highly realistic, immersive war games designed to test brigade-level combat capabilities.Modern warfare is increasingly fought in congested cities, so Wainwright features the military’s largest mock urban environments. The disaster happened just two days before Albertans were scheduled to vote in a highly anticipated provincial referendum regarding potential separation from Canada. The fire disrupted advance voting locations in nearby Lloydminster and Vermilion.A formal, delicate military and Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) investigation has been launched to determine the exact structural or procedural failures that led to the explosion
If Suspicious Cat had its own SI, I would ask it:
“What obscure legal or bureaucratic doors have been opened,
or what (otherwise separated) cooperative relationships between government, military, intel, and law enforcement, have been enabled
by the unique nature and progression of this conflagration that involves a military base, a gas pipeline or storage tank, and a nearby township?”
And what locative congruences might exist between this location and the transport and counting of ballots, or the communication and tabulation of results?
🎯 I would add “…and how high up does CCP influence or ownership reach in all of the above entities?”
Admin help requested: The “unordered list” bulleted format disappeared several minutes after my post above went up.
Now it’s a train wreck of crammed together sentences. Did I do something incorrectly? Is it fixable?
A formal “delicate” military investigation? Not a veteran, and have no idea how to interpret this.
Everything I read about this incident stirs more questions. But it’s terrible for the young lives lost.
That’s a clue to the special “opportunities” this situation offers Carney to use Canadian law and agencies to do “unusual” things.
The RCMP has to investigate because of the damage to the nearby township. But the conflagration started on a military base where the special, situation-specific training is–logically–top secret.
Thus a “delicate” investigation where the RCMP gets to ask appropriate questions and the base command (or higher) gets to legally ignore, lie, or issue a “mistakes were made–now go pound sand, civilian!” In reality, though, if the base command tells the RCMP they have evidence that __________ happened, the RCMP can choose to act on that evidence claim and respond with vehement intent. (The security status of the “evidence’ would then protect either side from accountability, and any civilians arrested from due recourse.)
That’s why I’m curious about which gov’t agency might be over gas pipelines and–if that pipeline is considered an area of national defense–if that then offers Five Eyes entre into the affair …as a cover for other shenanigans possibly relative to the Alberta Referendum.
Am I a conspiracy nut? Well, I still believe in the hypothetical possibility of the existence of pure coincidence. But that may only be my ignorance of quantum mechanics showing! 😉
Is this the Canadian prime minister who recently told Canadians to prepare for war with the USA?
It sounds like the war preparations against America may have hit a setback.
Live fire exercises near gas wells and/or gas lines?
an excuse to shut down all oil and gas lines and wells in Alberta?
Too dangerous !!!! and global worming !!!!
Alberta referendum vote tomorrow. No coincidences.
Canadian troops preparing for combat?? LOL wait I have to catch my breath lost from hysterically laughing.

Who, in their right mind (and I know that’s a stretch; it’s Canada, after all) has a live fire field that contains gas lines or wells? Doesn’t seem like a good idea to me. 🤷🏻♀️
