At this point his not going after fat lady, obammer, and auto pen has a positive side, which is that it doesn’t give them a platform from which to “argue” their case.
Listening to him just now say he won’t go after those three made me think the same as you. The taint of the investigations of the foot soldiers will rub off and over time ruin what might have been left of their reputations. In a way his action regarding these people reminds me of his more general strategy of letting the truth come out and people make up their own minds. So far that has been an effective strategy, as opposed to him trying to “prove” something.
A further thought is that with the state of the corrupt courts, these three could well get off completely free. But his method — letting the truth come out — will bury them deeper and deeper every time an historian looks at the facts.
A lesson I take from this today is that it’s better to go after what you want — which President Trump does better than anyone — than it is to use your energy for revenge.
That said, I confess that I would like to see the three criminals face justice. But I also see — and especially given the state of the courts — that President Trump’s strategy has merit.
President Trump is fighting to save our country and I support his efforts.
As long as he fights, I’ll back him up.

Trump has recently gone public and revealed that he and he alone has restrained the DOJ from seeking accountability with respect to the grotesque corruption and destabilization of the country by Obama and his co-conspirators. The reason: the presidency is inviolate. This is a huge knife in the back of justice and accountability and the rule of law not to mention the will of the people. In addition, to divulge this unwelcome news now, before the midterms, is simply stupid. I certainly didn’t vote for this. There are simply no words to describe the error in judgement and disappointment in this revelation. This will not serve the nation well going forward. No accountability, no country.
