According to CNN, current Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton is likely to be appointed the AI/SI Czar. If that is accurate, and not a leak trap – which considering the source is sketchy, then that leaves the DNI position open again.
(VIA CNN) – President Donald Trump is expected to pick Jay Clayton to be the White House’s new czar of artificial intelligence, two sources familiar with the discussion told CNN.
The president could announce his decision about Clayton, who is director of national intelligence, as early as Friday, one of the sources said.
Trump announced last month that he was planning to create an “AI Force” and name an AI czar as the government faces growing calls to impose guardrails on the technology’s rapid development.
Trump gathered several AI and technology CEOs at the White House on Tuesday for a meeting that culminated in the signing of a new commitment aimed at better “self-policing” their companies’ AI models. (read more)

Yes, I recall that once someone is confirmed they can then move into various “acting” roles with no further confirmations. In accordance with the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, Richard Grenell went from a confirmed Ambassadorship role over to “acting” DNI with no further confirmation required.
I believe a permanent appointment, however, would require another confirmation vote.

Haven’t seen any recent updates as to how her husband is doing after his surgery…for his sake, obviously, but also for the sake of our country, I really hope that he is doing very well and that Tulsi can return to finish what she started!
He is doing better. Tulsi made a video about it. It is worth finding and watching.
I saw one that she did pretty early on and it was very encouraging. He was already back in the gym, taking zero painkillers, and the doctors said they thought they had gotten all of the tumor.
But I haven’t seen anything from her since then so I wonder if her reappearance in DC means that he is still doing well?

Read a couple of reports that he is cancer-free post surgery, but the early weeks of rehab for really rough.

I’m not so sure about this narrative of so many voters staying home for whatever the reason. I recall boxes -and even truckloads- of ballots that simply go missing.
Of course, the outside of these mail-in envelopes identifies the registrations of the voters they choose to cull from the rest of the ballots received. It’s a pretty easy scam.
There have also been algorithms that switch the vote tallies within the computerized voting machines, changing R votes to D votes. CONGress has yet to remedy any of these fraudulent activities, choosing instead to arrest the whistleblowers who complain.
With the mockingbird ENEmedia to perpetuate the false narratives and fake polls alike, it is pretty easy to blame all this cheating on “Republicans staying home.”

Would obviously be best case scenario if she did come back, and since she has been Senate confirmed, she could be acting with no problems until reconfirmed.
