President Trump has revoked the special white house access privileges of CNN, MSNow and Politico. Those outlets and all of the other self-centered media allies who make everything about themselves, have promised to file lawsuits.
The media claim that President Trump has removed their First Amendment rights by revoking their special White House access cards, seats on Airforce One and privilege tents on the white house grounds. Apparently, if the media don’t get the luxuries of influence they claim their rights are removed – or something equally stupid.

It is clear that there is no 1st Amendment right to have access to White House grounds or buildings. But — is there not an “equal protection” argument to be made if access is given to some, but not others?

The Judiciary has ZERO oversight of how the President chooses to communicate or who has access to the White House. No more than the President has oversight of how the Judiciary chooses to communicate or who has access to the Courts.
In fact, The President has constitutional authority over access to any federal building, any federal information system and resources as the administration of it is his that he deems to be a national security risk.
He could declare ANYONE a threat to national security – as the Biden administration did to MAGA – and place them on “no access” lists just the feds have “no fly” lists.
Trump’s authority could be exercised to bar judges, lawyers, including SCOTUS jurists (nobody is above the law) from the Supreme Court. Could bar them from federal computer systems, locking them out of case files, emails, etc.
Would SCOTUS appreciate that if he did? Would they obey?
Point is, Trump had more constitutional authority to do that than judges requiring media access to the President. Last I checked they lack police powers to enforce a single order they issue. As Andrew Jackson famously quipped, “they made their ruling, now let them try to enforce it.”
I completely agree with you that the President has the constitutional authority to strip those three outlets of their access to the White House. But the courts may not agree, as they did in the AP case last year. To date PT has not refused to follow any court order (although some of us wish he would start to), so if those three go to court and prevail, they will likely get back inside the press briefing room. At that point, they should be ignored and never get called to ask a single question.
Equal access? Apparently Biden banned over 200 journalists. I am sure that that will come up if these outlets show their rear ends and sue.

It’s a matter of national security. There are thousands of people in the US with press credentials, but the WH staff isn’t equipped to accommodate all of them at once. They have a few “slots” open which are granted to a handful of press people at the President’s discretion. Those passes can be revoked at any time and granted to other applicants.
“Equal protection” has never applied to restricted White House access, which is a privilege currently granted to multiple but not all independent news outlets… the press has equal access to any area open to the public, but privileged areas have always been at the pleasure of POTUS and his staff. The law suit is going to be interesting because the Secretary of War has LOST every court battle vs the media who claim free unfettered and un-escorted access to every space in the Pentagon is a right no matter if there are classified, national security or sensitive issues of any type.

They need to be sued and punished for their falsehoods. If they aren’t they will just double down and keep on generating the fake news to advance the agenda. That is after all their job.

Remember when President Trump said that more people watched his speech at the GOP midterm convention than watched the NFL game?
President Trump was immediately fact checked by the lying liars of the corrupt corporate media. They cited TV ratings to show that President Trump was wrong.
And then all of the streaming numbers came in. 100 million people watched President Trump on TV and/or streaming.
Bypass the corporate media. They are useless. Nobody from the Trump administration should appear on a network again. Let them die from lack of attention.
