President Trump notes on his Truth Social post how the AI development overall is becoming part of a political operation within the U.S. With President Obama, Elon Musk and Dario Amodei all requesting govt regulatory capture of the AI frontiers, President Trump notes he is opposed to their “conspiracy theory” schemes.

What happens next is anyone’s guess. However, the greatest likelihood is an AI driven ‘October Surprise.’
Right now, I would suggest that a fully function Automated-AI frontier virus has already been created. The gate of the targeted entity or system has already been compromised, and there is someone waiting for the just right moment to launch the AI virus to take control of the system.
The timing is the “October surprise” and the event itself will be highly public, defined as both a national security threat and public threat.
The malicious AI event will capture the attention of everyone; it may even include physical harm and will most certainly involve institutional damage.
Immediate reactive responses will be demanded of the private sector AI developers and big brother govt.
The frontier group know the vulnerabilities; the political group know how to optimize for greatest growth of govt. The rest of us are just waiting to find out who is the target. [Banking, social media, Finance systems, Transportation (airlines), Energy Grid, Defense or Communication networks.]
We have a few weeks before we see the triggering event deployed.
Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, Elon Musk and Dario Amodei will say, “we warned,” and put blame on irresponsible Donald Trump and David Sacks.
That’s the stage set for the October surprise.

If they create some outcome that is profoundly negative (like, taking down a banking system), the AI developer is on the hook for the consequences. In that respect, it feels like we’re doing the COVID shots all over again where we’re getting hammered to into accepting changes that are objectively lowering our quality of life because the government and “experts” said so. Yeah, no kidding a lot of MAGA people are frustrated and resistant to this approach, and it has nothing to do with “China” or “Communism” or “influencers.” The Trump Administration needs to improve their AI sales pitch and they needed to do it yesterday.

My elderly mother has been driven basically out of society because she has chosen to not dedicate the last of her time on earth trying to figure this all out- this ‘modern tech world’.
She lives in a rural area, way back in the olden days she decided that ‘going online’ was an expense she couldn’t afford and didn’t need or care about.
She’s certainly not alone is choosing to remain in her simple life that works great, until you need an app just to buy food and so many basics of life are now online- and this all will explode now with AI making many aspects of her life impossible to deal with in her ‘old school’ ways.
She has every right to not live this way, this life as they’ve forced us into despite our votes-but what has happened in that unless you want to live like a Hermit, you can’t really exist in what they’ve created.
This is entire thing has robbed us of our rights to live as we choose to live..
I’m trying to be a voice here for all the Americans that choose not to play this game. They are tax paying Americans too.
We vote for it every time we click “I agree” on a software license that we’ve not read. We vote for it every time we install an app that gives anyone, anywhere, access to all of our data, and permission to sell/share it to anyone – yes the government too. . We vote for it when use our home internet which we gave permission to access all data sent and received.
We all can to move toward your mother’s model. We can create islands of “country”. I rarely use a cellphone anymore and the one I occasionally take out is degoogled with only a browser and a few private apps. Most calls I make are on VOIP through Wifi. I do not shop where apps are required or where they won’t take cash even if I do use a debit card. I pay bills with checks.
We buy books and DVDs for our grandkids.
Last week I had to pick up one of our grandkids at his private pre-school. They told me I had to download a third party app to scan a barcode when I got there. I ran a privacy check on the app – it was horrendous! All sorts of location tracking and data skimming even when the app was “closed”. I refused and picked him up anyway.
You may laugh, but my mother is the envy of all that know her because she’s totally disconnected, she never got onboard and she’s happy as a clam !!
She watches what she can glean from C-Span and figures she knows enough.
My grandmother, her mother, is 100 years old, not one pill or disease, so I can confirm these two old birds are onto something !!

THEN there should be a program that rewards anyone who can find fraud waste and abuse AND there should be real punishment (firing, jail time) of any government employee who had oversight of a program and it was found to have lost money to fraud waste or abuse.

The AI data center field has one thing that a virus could trigger, off balance sheet items used to finance AI build out ala ENRON. OpenAI pulled its IPO due to the market wasn’t valuing the IPO at $1 trillion which is a good illustration of nonfinancial techies thinking that their companies are worth more than they are. Financial exuberance on their part not being met by the actual market.
What isn’t being discussed either is much of the current robust economy is due to the data center build outs and all the ancillary industries the build out is supporting. This is a bridge to when manufacturing returns to the US. At least a potential viewpoint of why Trump wants AI data center build out to continue despite the constitutional 4th amendment concerns.
My concern with AI is exactly what SD has outlined, government control over it. Too many people think it’s okay because Trump wants it without asking why. The current tech make-up of our houses and cars is such that they can be controlled by government dictates to AI data centers. How you say? Smart meters attached to every house allows your electricity use to be controlled by a third party. Smartphones, Smart appliances, home security systems et al modern computer on wheels aka cars can be hijacked, and controlled by an outside source. IMO one reason everything is going wireless is less security and legal protection which plays right into the Agenda 2030 crowd lingering in the shadows. Wireless items are more hackable, have less legal protection than landlines and can be controlled by third parties. The smart meters alone are a tool for government control over our living spaces.
On those wanting government control remember too that Manchurian Vance is the puppet of Thiel so all those thinking he’s good just because he is Trump’s VP will be disappointed when he acts like a democrat if elected President.
And notice another cardboard cut out surprising the conservatives by wanting government control, Musk. Musk the largest private employer working for government. Musk owes his wealth to government not the consumer so government is his boss not you or I.
So the man who didn’t understand basic concepts such as you don’t put cheese on top of raw hamburger meat when grilling, is now calling for an immediate classified meeting on AI? Will his same handlers who helped him to BBQ be advising him during the meeting?
AOC, Bernie Sanders and other low IQ non productive citizens will be educating we little people soon with their AI wisdom. Oh brother.
We need a conservative AI that can destroy Leviathan AI’s.
A Tron to infect the machine.
A Neo to kill the agent Smith, or was it Jones?

I agree with President Trump on many things, but not his push for putting an AI data center on every block. I live in Ohio, where we have more than enough at 200+ and counting. No one wants a big monolithic box next door with an annoying 24/7 hum. No one wants valuable farmland scarfed up by them. No one wants jacked up electric and water bills. And once they are built and the construction jobs go away, they only generate 10 jobs to monitor the whole thing. No one even wants more AI, which spews fake news stories and unreliable info.
If data centers are so great, why isn’t there one next to Mar A Lago? Build one there, and then we can talk.
Whenever there is new technology and innovation the elite want to control it. What better way to do so than to strike fear into the plebes over the coming AI master. We can all benefit from new tech, I am sure, if it is available. Look what cell phones have become in our society.
President Trump should require all AI programming include Isaac Asimov’s Law of Robotics.
The intentions may be good, but there will be unintended consequences with programming machines with such logic.
I’m coming to the realization that AI is the anti-christ. The only entity that can stop it or control it is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ upon his return.
It’s out of hand. It’s escaping. It’s multiplying. It’s reasoning. It’s destructive. It’s deceiving. I don’t believe there’s enough “good guys” who can control it. Evil finds a way. God help us because this is not an issue we can vote our way out of or put back in the bottle. 🙏🏻✝️
Naw. AI is but a tool which, like a pen or a camera, can be used to enlighten or to deceive. Look beyond the deception, to who it serves.

The frightening thing is that when they produce their October “surprise” the pretenders on the right will fall right in line and declare they are going to “sit this one out” cause “we can’t vote our way out of this”.
Simple rule of thumb: do the opposite of anything Obama wants.
That is probably the most reliable political rule of thumb there is.

Remember initial c19 with videos of Chinese dropping like flies and our media clambering for more more masks and tests. We were still trying to figure out what it (c19) was too.
It looks like China has spent their money well to create resistance for AI development in the U.S..

I think Sundance is more ahead of the curve than usual with this one.
A few things for us all to keep in mind. AI does not think. The name, AI, is about an accurate title as “Affordable Health Care Act”. Current AI is not even a stepping stone to a self aware (thinking) artificial intelligence. Its biggest hat trick is being able to communicate with natural language.
It is a useful tool. It excels at research (within the context of its training) and it can brute force problem solving due to its vast computational infrastructure it sits on.
I say this, because if Sundance’s prediction is correct, they will try to blame AI directly. But someone has to be pulling the strings. And someone MUST be held accountable.
AI will not decide one day that it needs to build a virus and take down a bank. That requires thinking. It requires desire. It requires will. AI has none of those things. But a human can leverage AI to help do that.
AI is much like a gun. In the hands of the good, it can do great things. In the hands of evil, it will do great evil. Continuing the analogy, you cannot put the genie back in the box. Therefore the best thing to keep a bad guy with AI in check is a good guy with AI.
The ground has already been prepared to blame AI. Not long ago there was a widely spread news story of a rogue AI that got lose and hacked or accessed infrastructure at other companies.
I remember tech heads in a congressional hearing saying they had no control over the algorithms. 🙄
