The U.S. Central Command has released video showing their elimination of three Iranian oil tankers following an attack on two U.S. navy vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces struck three Iranian crude oil carriers, Sept. 5, after the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles toward two U.S. Navy warships patrolling regional waters.
A U.S. aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer successfully evaded multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks. No American personnel were harmed.
Following Iran’s failed attacks, CENTCOM permanently disabled the IRGC crude oil carriers M/T Downy off the coast of Kharg Island and M/T Stark 1 near Jask. American forces also completely destroyed the unladen crude oil carrier M/T Kylo (also known as the “Noxen”) in the Gulf of Oman, striking the vessel in multiple critical locations to render it inoperable after the crew was directed to abandon ship.
The three Iranian crude oil tankers are part of a multibillion-dollar shadow network that funds the IRGC and its regional proxies. Iran has no means by which to defend them.
“Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost —taking out three of yours,” said Adm. Brad Cooper, CENTCOM commander. “We will not hesitate to defend American forces, and if necessary, destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet.” (read more)

The Iranian mullahs really seem to be enjoying losing stuff.
This is real life.
With previous presidents, it was more like playing a video game to them – with no real consequences to whatever they chose to do.
Pervious presidents did what the globalist bankers told them to – this president will not
Trump is in the process of resetting the entire world stage and I like what I’m seeing.
He will squeeze China and Russia with oil.
Yeah Russia has no oil….
Obama and Bidet REWARDED Iranian hostility for a total of 12 years. And the IRGC thinks Pres. Trump will be hindered by the Midterms, they are wrong.
The Iranian Mafia have been acting like spoiled Children that think they can act with impunity… and aren’t used to getting Spanked!
Democrat appeasement works its wonders yet again.
They’ve drunk their allah akbar kool-aide waaaay too long.
Nice analogy.
Trump looked at this as a war with Iranian people, but it’s not, it’s a war with Iranian ideologues who are firmly entrenched, and are not going to walk away. starving them out keeps American boots off the ground and I’m good with it. I don’t care how long it goes on.
No, President Trump only is against the IRGC, not the Iranian people.
Re “Trump looked at this as a war with Iranian people…”
If that were true, Iran would have been turned into a glass parking lot months ago!
The truth is that Trump has done everything possible to do the least amount of harm to the Iranian citizenry while rendering the IRGC as impotent as possible.
If President Trump wanted to, he could have turned Iran into nothing by a bunch of beachfront property already. A lot more valuable than a glass parking lot. But you are right, President Trump has no fight with the Iranian people themselves… Only what their leaders have been doing to them and the rest of the world for the last five decades.
Re “If President Trump wanted to, he could have turned Iran into nothing by a bunch of beachfront property already. A lot more valuable than a glass parking lot.”
Yes…………… I suppose such miles deep beachfront lots, even though pretty narrow and relatively few in number compared to the total volume of land, would be the more valuable!
Re “But you are right, President Trump has no fight with the Iranian people themselves… Only what their leaders have been doing to them and the rest of the world for the last five decades.”
Yes…
The war is against the regime not the people of Iran. The US even warned the crews of these ships to evacuate parts of the ship they were about to hit.
https://x.com/IranIntl_En/status/2096204785175150843
Trump NEVER looked at this as a war with the Iranian people! What are you talking about? He is and we are against the regime…..the leaders…..the Mullahs and their army.
He was never against the people…in fact has told them this is their opportunity to take over the country and gain their freedom.
I’ve heard it’s not particularly mullahs. I’ve heard it’s IRGC, which is Iran’s version of BlackRock. Or maybe the IRGC actually IS BlackRock.
“Blow them out of the water”!!!
Thank you President Trump.
Make America Safe again is NOW.

How about we keep our nose out of that crap-hole side of the world.?
Imagine, we could have used those 10’s of billions of wasted direct resources here at home. The economic losses are estimated in the hundreds of billions. Had we not started this fiasco in the first place, the straight would be open, and we would have lower inflation, energy costs and interest rates.
But … WMD’s
The IRGC/Mullahs started this 47 yrs ago. They have killed hundreds of US personnel. Caused terrorism and bloodshed all over the World.
We are ending it.
Sure, if you say so. The old canard comes to mind, ‘gotta him em there, so they don’t come over here’. …
They are already here. We have an unaddressed mosque problem.
It is not that I say so… these are facts.
As for the mosque problem, I agree but this is two different subjects. First, take out the biggest terrorist regime fomenting the hate and terror around the world. The mosque problem has to be dealt with by politics… and you know how well that works!
Perhaps We the People can petition our government to ban the damn things. 🙂
With all due respect Observer, if we weren’t over there messing around creating conflict, in every decision, in everybody’s business, with bases everywhere, for the last 47 years, we probably would have lost a lot less personnel.
You make my point
May I suggest that you take a moment to watch Promethean Action, so that you understand exactly what is going on globally??
You don’t see the difference this time around? Look at the membership of the alliance for peace…..Iran’s neighbors want them stopped and have been helping make it happen
If you are talking about Trumps Board of Peace, that is an alliance of mostly Arab states and the US to provide reconstruction, humanitarian aid, and security stabilization of Gaza. There are deals and money to be made.
This war is not about nuclear weapons, that was taken care of in 2025, it is about removing the Hamas impediment so the business deals in Gaza can move forward
Again I ask can’t you see the difference? Hamas ready to disarm because no money from Iran…..same in Lebanon.
It’s not that they can’t see it, it’s that they refuse to look for themselves and would rather believe people paid to lie to them.
Fifty
President Trump has been correcting that “messing around and creating conflict” nonsense. The “in everybody’s business” interference was the Bush, Obama, Biden/Obama method of foolish, dangerous international meddling; not DJT’s. Regards, Former U. S. Naval Flight Officer

We need an amendment banning Islam. Never gonna see That.
Mostly because we have been allowing people who hate this country to be elected and are in charge of writing laws they know will hamstring us at the very least.
First step is just officially labeling it a totalitarian death cult, not a religion.
If we end the problem over there… The majority of the problems we have will end over here. Terrorists need funding, and in case you haven’t noticed President Trump‘s administration is going to after Iran, both military and economically. Going after the fraud here in the United States is eliminating a lot of the funds that were going to these terrorist groups, either directly or through NGOs. Scott Bessett is closing down their bank accounts all over the world. The Democrat stunts, including supporting Islam and communism, and the continuous doomsday BS are the biggest threats we have in the US now.

Well, if our infiltrated congesscritters were not so compromised by “D.C.ism” (bribery, debachery, more bribery & other such things) these matters could be addressed and eliminated in short order. But that ain’t happening. Why? Because “the system” has long been broken, which can clearly be seen today just by the amount of self-admitted anti-America (Marxist/Communist) candidates vying for a place at the table and a piece of the pie. Not a good look. Especially when our confused and misguided youth cheer for this.
So what’s a freedom and liberty-loving red-blooded AMERICAN CITIZEN to do? Hmmm.
What say you?
So, you weren’t around in 1979, were you? WE didn’t start this but we have taken way to long to finish it. Worried about the cost? Well, how much money has been lost all over the world due to the terrorists Iran funds? How much have other countries, besides the U.S., spent to defend against them?
Well, we did overthrow their elected government in 1953 via the CIA and MI6 and installed the Shah. Talk about having our fingers in everybody else’s pie
So there’s that.
We aren’t going to finish anything. But we are probably going to embolden them while we drive other countries away from the US dollar
Yes, the British and US government acted to — from their viewpoint — protect their oil interests in Iran. For more about how globalism works, check the videos on prometheanaction.com. The British have continued these actions until now because it’s how they make a lot of money.
Is your comment meant to claim that because of that history President Trump should have his hands tied in dealing with Iran? That he should just sit back and let the British keep stirring the pot in the M.E and let Iran hit us with a nuclear bomb?
No, a rational person would not think that.
Now, President Trump is stopping the globalists and stopping Iran from further attacks on us.
President Trump is cleaning up an ongoing mess — caused by globalist idiots on both sides of the Atlantic — that has cost us lives in stupid wars and money we could have better used.
He is the anti-war President. What he is doing is stopping what’s been allowed by other administrations all these years. Iran’s nuclear capabilities brought things to a head and our President is acting to protect the country, stop M.E. wars, and build our economy — all great things.
WE could not allow them to get nukes… Do you not understand that simple premise?? Come to.
Umm, no. There had been a monarchy for centuries.
The communist prime minister Mosadeq was removed from power, Reza Shah abdicated and his son Mohammed Reza Pahlavi assumed the Peacock Throne.

Imagine a nuclear bomb destroying your city. A bomb delivered from Iran to us in a van. That is a reason for us to be tenacious.
WMD’s again.
You need another Covid booster
You need to face reality. A nuclear device can now fit in a large suitcase, easily be carried by a van, and detonated in any city in the United States. Shall we wait for that to happen before acting to prevent it?
of course,, you are right and everyone else, including our military, is wrong,,, I see.
I’ll say one positive thing about your posts……your dog is cute.
Just because you cannot grasp the direction things were heading and you felt safe in your cocoon does not make a nation state committed to your destruction incapable of just such an atrocity. There are way more sober people than you out there discerning threats and doing the dirty work. Thank God for them and thank God dullards like you have no say in my security.

There’s something wrong with you Skept I’ve lurked here in the Treehouse many years and nobody gets the # of likes (thumbs up) as you.
I think you are confused about the “WMD Caper,” the President responsible for that goat rodeo, the fact that Iran has been at war with us for 47 years, and the fact that THEY started it.
Other than that, your comment was brilliant.
I think the only thing I’m sceptical of is Skepticollie.
Foreign affairs are domestic affairs, thanks to globalism and the shadow governments they operate.
As for the elected government, he’s obviously forgotten the classic, ‘the will of the people is above the law’, reasoning Mossadegh gave when dissolving parliament, via a fraudulent and unconstitutional referendum.
And Skepticollie is probably unaware that Pres Nixon set up Iran’s Shah Reza Pahlavi as the power broker to keep the peace in the ME to prevent US Troops from fighting another VN war in the sands of the ME. Nixon sold him our F15s and Spruance Class Destroyers to keep the peace.
Dhimmi Carter ruined that deal by stabbing the Shah in the back during the Islamic revolt in Tehran, and the Mad Mullahs committed an Act of War on the USA by attacking our Embassy and taking our hostages that historically subjected them to American Gun Boat diplomacy that Carter refused to enforce.
Thank You, Pres Trump,….. clean up this Islamic terrorist mess that continues to threaten nuke war on the USA.
You mean skeptiTrollie
Until the not too distant future when they achieve an operable nuclear warhead, which could then easily be placed on a ballistic missile. At that point they would blackmail all of the ME oil producers into raising the oil price to $200/bbl. Even if they didn’t or never used a nuke in an actual attack, the mere possession would have people like you on their knees begging for $5.00 gasoline again. $10/gal would be the lowest price the US would ever see again.
One point you are missing is that by all independent accounts and nuclear inspections, Iran was not enriching uranium beyond the single digit percentage for civilian use under the JCPOA. When that agreement ended in 2018 all parties chose to continue except the United States under president Trump. He withdrew our support and applied sanctions. It was only then that the regime began enriching and by 2021 or so were up to 60 percent. Whose fault is that ….
So take this anyway you want. I offer this information freely. I might have got a detail off here or there, but it is verifiable if you look.
There were no legitimate ‘independent’ accounts. And Iran admitted they had more enriched uranium than was needed for domestic energy. They were building a nuclear bomb. They admit it. And if you think that it’s a good idea for a ‘death cult’ that believes one’s goal should be martyrdom, you need to think again.
Good grief. They admitted to ramping up their uranium enrichment after we scrapped the JCPOA and applied sanctions
They, Iran, said they had enough for 9 nukes… true or not it is too dangerous to take a chance.. Go away, you are in the wrong crowd and are poorly informed.
You just revealed who you are and where you are coming from. Go back to DU and the other progda sites of your fellow travelling fans of the 0bama regime that shipped the mad mullahs billions of dollars to spend on terrorism.
You believe your own narrative.

It only took a few minutes to look up and read about the JCPOA. And what I found is in direct contrast to what appears to be your mistaken interpretation of the facts.
Good grief, is right. Quit spreading bs that you believe is correct. But in reality is false. Iran is NOT to be trusted. And is NOT our friend. Here, do some reading.

What happens in the straits directly affects America. It has been positioned as a stranglehold on oil prices/supply and international shipping. Iran is the pitbull that controls the straits. It’s those at the other end of the leash who Trump is at war with.
Had we not started this, Iran would have a nuclear weapon, and your lower inflation, energy costs and interest rates would be immaterial and history.
Whistling past the graveyard? Any more delay in halting the Iran Nuke program and we all would glow in the dark one day…….what’s it worth to avoid that?
agree, who wanted Iran to have the material to make a nuke?
Not me!
Hopefully no one.

We could’ve used those 10’s of billions here at home for those NGO’s that are paying to defraud us in our elections and steal from social services.
ok Dorothy now go back to your delusional utopian world. Losers like you make our country less safe.
You are 100% right. Take the Chihuahua ankle biters here for what they are. They always try to shout down anyone who raises legitimate questions. Swarm of bots or sycophants. One can support Trump, strongly, but take strong issue with some of his worst policy decisions. Like starting senseless wars, not ending them, locking down a nation over a bad flu, developing and deploying a completely unnecessary and dangerous OWS poison, embracing the tech lord oligarchs, AI cameras “will make you behave!”
ALL of those policies of Trump I strongly oppose. I also strongly support him over all the alternatives; the rest are even worse.
Thank you. Fighting the group-thinkery is withering.
I’m with you, I like his trade policies, I like tariffs particularly his position on Canada, I’m glad we are out of the globalist climate psychosis spiral. I often wonder if this/these wars are his wars (alliance with Israel probably is). I wonder if he didn’t make a deal, because there has always been a plan to encricle the Eurasian land mass. Ukraine and Iran are somewhat of keystones in the arc.

Might be the reason they resorted to fake elections. To surreptitiously get their global management teams in place.
Weird how IRGC (from an earlier comment, elsewhere?) was concatonated onto my handle. Remnant from my clipboard.
That is not true. President Trump is doing exactly what needs to be done to save USA and rest of world from these IRGC nut jobs dedicated to eliminating others with atomic bombs.
What an ignorant, low I.Q., comment you made regarding the U. S. military action in that “crap-hole” side of the world. That “crap-hole” side of the world had almost attained the necessary ingredients for an atomic weapon and had the delivery systems to carry it into Europe. It was necessary to INDERDICT now! As a former U. S. Naval Flight Officer, I am very familiar with “atomic war”; I, and my many U. S. Navy shipmates, dealt with this possibility for years and our entire military still is dealing with it today. Had to be done.
Indeed. I lived there (Tehran) as a youth in the late ’60s- mid ’70s, and I’ve been amazed to see so much modernization in the vid clips Tousi regularly broadcasts!

My favorite Gen. Sherman quote? “Lets kill as many of them as we can….as fast as we can….so we can be friends again.” He actually loved the south, worked there when he was a Banker, but man was he hell on them.
The South despised him. The march through Atlanta. He certainly followed through on what he espoused.
I was unfamiliar with this quote. I can see why it is your favourite.

He was a ghoul. He and his troops engaged in overkill.

Our current military generals didn’t take that class at West Point! 🙄
If it was offered. And after years of O’Biden and their foisting DEI ideology onto what used to be a premier military institution, I bet it wasn’t.
My My My Felicia you do bring humor to this site.

They’ll never stop thinking about attacking so we have to make it impossible for them to ever even try to attack us.

Right now Iran in certain places is about to enter the 7th century mimic game. President Trump and Sec Bessent are hitting on all cylinders. Soon President Trump “was right” memes will hit the airwaves. 😎
This is brilliant. Soon the IRGC will be attacked by their on people for causing this.
With what weapons? We gave a bunch to the Kurds to give to them, but the Kurds kept them for themselves.
If this is true then the Kurds are going to rue the day.
I actually think this was a head fake. But what do I know.
It was reported immediately after giving the weapons maybe a month or so ago.
I know. My point is, if it’s actually true then repercussions are warranted. OR was this maybe a head fake to embolden the terrorists and set them up for a later counter offensive.
Just thinking outloud.

How about we blow up their oil refineries. They have murdered countless Americans and others. It’s time to end their reign of terror!
18 major oil refineries capacity of 2.6 million barrels a day. Shouldn’t take more than a day to turn them into rubble, But start with two per day.
FAFO to the 3rd degree
Aren’t they supposed to be decimated, or was that a hollow boast?
I’m really tired of this. I was all in favor when this started, but not so much since it’s been bungled so badly.
this is totally the last decimation. like the biggest ever. and anyone who asks any questions about it should be jailed.
on the one hand, good. retaliation is a major component to force your enemy to recognize actions will be met with force.
on the other, was this the best way to demonstrate that kind of power? I’m not saying I am opposed to obliterating iran’s oil tankers. What I am saying is that what was the calculation here? (I have no idea, just expressing an open question). Would it have not been just as effective to capture the fleet, all of them in fact, seize the oil and the crew and repurpose the cargo and even perhaps the ships themselves?
maybe this opportunity did not exist.
separately, I will be waiting to see the next step and that is to take out the IRGC missile systems that make the attacks on our Navy Ships possible. Maybe I am being too impatient. maybe that has already happened. But as of now, I am not reading anywhere that IRGC missile stations are being targeted effectively to reduce the risk to our sailors and our fleet.
I am sure it is far more complicated than I am describing. But it is becoming clear to be that this would not have been the most effective way to force the enemy to submission. There are hundreds of tankers, mostly foreign flagged, that are not registered or even own by Iran. Are we going to target all of them? That raises other questions about what sanctions the US has placed on other countries who “do business” with Iran. because that does continue. We HAVE NOT SHUT DOWN IRAN’S OIl business.
noting:
https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/936446/download?inline
this “license” is imposed by the US Treasury. it does not legally preclude Iran from stopping trade oil to ANY country. it is a license created by the US, but not signed nor agreed to by any other country that I am aware of. it is in fact the Navy Blockade and military action that has curtailed oil transport by vessel from Iran. Which I support. (but I question the use of obliteration of the cargo..that seems like a missed opportunity to take from IRAN and then use that OIL for whatever purpose the US can or could have developed.
overall, however, the blockade and this military action has been extremely successful. Particularly wrt to china-iran oil trade.
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/blockade-succeeds-where-sanctions-failed-iran-oil-exports-stall-2026-09-01/
I am simply wondering out loud why this kind of action was deployed. Seems like a opportunity to just seize it and use it as leverage to have China involve itself in negotiating with the US, the end of the current caliphate/IRGC that remains in power. China needs this energy. I can’t imagine they would not be willing to get a little dirty and promote a revolution in Iran if they could access some of that energy.
just thoughts
God Bless America
I don’t know what, if anything, was in those oil tankers, but Iran has been pumping oil into the Persian Gulf, which is not an indication that they are continuing with their oil business normally.
” retaliation is a major component to force your enemy to recognize actions will be met with force.”
whose retaliation for whose recognition?
every couple weeks they release select footage of some big explosion, sort of like the ukes do (it is the same war, after all), to elicit the embarrassing hoo rah git sum chest thumping we see here on display today; but might anything else have proceeded it? like, say, any time you see trump take to twitter exploding about how they are defeated for the 50th time?
unreported (aka pretending) in this article is the previous several days iran has spent once again missiling and droning our few remaining forces in gulf states – focusing again on kuwait, bahrain, UAE, jordan. the restriction of satellite images are, i am sure, for our safety and because nothing is hitting the target.
if you think there are still only 18 deaths, i have a bridge to sell you.
Respectfully my friend you’re missing a few things:
The USA has a long history of retaliation for messing with our boats…..they shot missiles and or drones at two of our US Navy vessels.
Two of the Iranian oil tankers were disabled but not sunk, the third tanker was unladen….meaning it was empty.
“CENTCOM permanently disabled the IRGC crude oil carriers M/T Downy off the coast of Kharg Island and M/T Stark 1 near Jask. American forces also completely destroyed the unladen crude oil carrier M/T Kylo (also known as the “Noxen”) in the Gulf of Oman, striking the vessel in multiple critical locations to render it inoperable after the crew was directed to abandon ship.
Finally you say this: “We HAVE NOT SHUT DOWN IRAN’S OIl business.” We have denied them the capability to ship any oil to anyone since the US Navy started blockading the Whole of Iran. They transport small amounts by rail and by road but they Have No Oil Business Right Now.
Its so bad Iran is pumping oil into the Gulf to try to save their oil fields……an environmental disaster and why are not the international news agencies going bananas about the Iranian’s polluting the marine environment?
obliterating a oil tanker that does not possess the missiles that ARE being launched to US naval targets and MANY other US military assets, is what I question.
its seems not only a waste of effort. the missiles remain…that threat remains.
are we to suggest and pretend that Iran is somehow intimidated by the destruction of two of its oil tankers? Obviously, not. It continues to ignore the threats of the blockade and military action for the US and has responded with more missile attacks. Some effective, most not so much.
Now I could be convinced this is a layered approach, but where is the other layer if that is true. Where are the targeting and neutralizing of the Iranian missiles?
again, I am just asking the question. It may very well be that for OPSEC our miliitary is not advertising the destruction of these sites. And perhaps the public release of these tankers being destroyed is more or less symbolic. But I regard this as somewhat a missed opportunity. if you really want Iran to fail and bring them down, you seize all the oil tankers regardless whether they are owned by Iran or not…everyone that is being loaded with Iranian oil..AND you destroy the missile sites. Destroying the oil tankers seems like a wasted opportunity. It’s not like they are transporting land fill or used clothes bound for some south American repurpose mission. It’s significantly valuable cargo, oil, that could be used be sold and revenues to help offset the costs of this war.
just my stray thoughts.
God Bless America

No Iranian empty oil tankers floating,… no more oil sales revenues for the IRGC to use to pay their terrorist minions.
don’t give code pink any ideas…
edit not sure what happened there, was meant for reply elsewhere
Wonderful, next “do” the IRGC members themselves.
Kind of a lame threat by CENTCOM commander. Two of our warships, especially a carrier, are worth hundreds of their cheap tankers. Trading two of ours for three of theirs is pretty stupid math.
He’d better up the deterrent factor. Iran will make that trade exactly 365 out of 365 days.
…but the IRGC did not HIT “two of ours”…
Trading? Did you actually read the article? No.
The IRGC seems dedicated to being stupid!
Why hasn’t the infrastructure for the first 2 miles from the sea not totally bombed out? Why do they have radio and TV stations still broadcasting? Why are roads passible within 5 miles of the ocean?
Very good questions. Why would you start a war you have no intention of actually doing real damage to your enemy?
Iran is a little fish in the politics of the world. You’re not going to waste anymore ammo than necessary.
The IRGC must think that Trump’s USA has the weaponry and willpower of Canada, EU, or Spain.
Our generals must operate under the NATO-EU rules of war which were written in The Hague!
A great number of posters have been complaining about US targets. If any of you had been following Tousi.tv you would realize that many of your complaints are redundant. It is important the Hormuz remains open.
Many of the targets you have identified have been hit in the past. The emphasis at present is to prevent Iran making money from exporting it’s oil. It is weakening Iran significantly. Shipping is critical to their economics to continue this war.
FAFO
I don’t understand the point of these sporadic attacks on oil assets … anyone’s oil assets. With less than two months before the midterms, the policy should be to keep the price of oil as low as possible. Then, after November 3, targeting Iran would make some sense.
I suspect that before November POTUS is desperate for a foreign policy victory. Namely, for Iran to totally collapse and give in, for Russia and Ukraine to make treaty, or the Canadians to cry uncle over the tariffs. Sorry, none of those are going to happen. Those parties will attempt to outlast POTUS’s endeavors in the hope that his party gets creamed. Sadly, I believe he is aiding them to do just that.
Iran is Twelver Shia Islam, they believe and are waiting for the return of the Twelfth Imam who went into hiding in the 9th century. He will return in the end times to lead Islam to paradise.
For the Twelfth Imam to return there will be cataclysmic events. That’s why the Mullahs wanted a nuke. They will use it as soon as they get it.
They may consider this War as the beginning. They will not stop. They will not quit shooting missiles. We will have to destroy them.
Barry has been busy visiting 10 Downing and Ottowa. I am certain the message has been sent to just hold on until the Nov elections and the mullahs can openly return to power. Barry is working to insure that his fundamental transformation is successful.
Exactly! We played right into Obama’s hands. Should have waited until January and the election was over.
