UPDATE: Graham Wins – AP Calls the Race

The special election in South Carolina to fill the seat of Senator Lindsey Graham is today. The polls close at 7:00pm ET in South Carolina and for President Trump there is a significant stake.
The opposition media are hoping that Ralph Norman defeats President Trump endorsed candidate Darline Graham so they can write articles about how Trump has lost his political strength and now suffers election embarrassment. President Trump not only endorsed Darline Graham, but he also held a rally for her last Friday and instructed his SuperPAC to fund her campaign heavily.
No one is sure how this special election is going to turn out. What I find interesting is the lack of publicly displayed and discussed polling over the past week. That doesn’t mean polls were not conducted, it only means conducted polls were never made public. This one will be super interesting to watch unfold this evening.

AP Election Results Here
Should Darline Graham win she retains the entire staff of her deceased brother, Lindsey Graham, who have been guiding her as an interim appointed senator. The South Caroline old guard GOP also has a stake in this race as the professionally Republican political class are not very supportive of President Trump and the MAGA coalition.
Consider this an open discussion thread for anything that relates to the special election and South Carolina politics. There is also primary voting in Georgia and Oklahoma. We will pin this thread to the top of the page until the final results are complete.

At the end of the day, Norman got spanked. Beat by a complete political novice by over 5 points.
So…..let’s hope this rookie can fend of the Commie the Dems are putting up. And you can bet that they will pour a lot of $$$ into what they reasonably see as a possible flip.
Especially if she agrees to a debate……
She would be better off acting like a dem candidate and say she won’t debate without concessions.
Can D candidate offer coherent foreign policy grasp? I wouldn’t think so!
Probably not, and neither can she.
From elsewhere on the net –
When asked in the only debate whether Taiwan and the South China Sea constitute national security issues for the United States, she answered with stunning candor: “I’m not that informed on national security… Nationals security is not my thing.”
“…coherent foreign policy grasp…”
That is what their foreign lobby advisors are for. The transnationals want servants who are ignorant empty-vessels who will do and say what they are told. It is as true for politicians as it is for corporate press.
Political novice? More like totally inept stand-in. Let’s just hope she isn’t as anti-Trump-America First as her brother was.
Murkowski 2.0
Yeah, I was thinking Collins 2.0 or an Amy Coney Barrett backstabber type.
GOP shooting itself in the foot again. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
That is probably the best case scenario.
WITH Dem crossover voting….
Oh don’t worry there will be plenty of that!
The people had a chance to rid themselves of Missy DNA, missed opportunity….
Well, actually, they probably did rid themselves of Missy DNA since it is likely that she will not win in November. 😂
It’s unlikely that a DemoCommie would get elected in SC but anything is possible. With the rate that liberals and carpetbaggers are moving into the state, it might be sooner rather than later.
Put a fork in her if she agrees to a debate.
wasn’t going to vote until I saw nikki endorse Norman, I voted Graham.
Tim Scott and merkowski endorsed graham…
This is not good for SC. It’s bad enough that we’re stuck between purple NC and purple GA.
🤮
Really GREAT, SUPER conservatives there….
Backstabbers….
Minor factional differences between anti-American ‘elites.’
Big mistake!
Idiot
Hi Hal, this is The Conservative Treeho nnuse, The
Conservative Playground is down the hall on the left.
If Chris (or anyone else) wants to vote a certain way, what business is it of ours?
We never get a choice where we don’t have to hold our nose to vote . . . excepting Donald Trump. RNC/DNC are private corporations who gatekeep candidates.
Graham’s giving a good victory speech. On FNC
It’s on Cspan 1.
FNC dropped it
I wonder who wrote it for her? Murkowski? Collins? Scott?
PDJT knows more than you about norman, because he has more surveillance tools than you
When he endorsed her it should have been over in our bitching and whining.
He is our only shot, and we stab him every damn time with our bitchy opinions based on nothing but bullshit.
Norman is a good look, but he wasn’t picked by PDJT, so he must know something we don’t with his surveillance access.
Everyone is free to bitch and voice opinions. But he said his choice for his agenda that we agree with.
You don’t know what the hell you are talking about so I suggest that you keep your ignorant opinions to yourself.
As much as I’d like to agree with your statement, I simply can’t, because Trump has proven time and time again, he doesn’t always do a good job vetting his endorsements and administrative appointments. I think his problem is he’s too susceptible to manipulation through flattery and he gives people too many chances!
I understand that with his administration, his hands are tied, because the Senate always gets a vote but there’s no excuse for the laundry list of known traitors and notorious RINOS he’s stuck behind.
Although there’s no way of knowing for sure, due to the scope/depth of fraud and rigging baked into our elections, I don’t think he’d be so much at odds with his own party, if he’d have done a better job researching, vetting and endorsing the right people early. I’m sure a lot of that is from the duplicitous, traitorous snakes who advise him and remain in his orbit but by now, he should have found someone to fulfill such a critically important role for him.
Huzzah for Pres Trump! Hope (I know right)…..hope the political capital was well spent.
Who knows, an outside the GOP circle is a good thing.
she’s not outside the GOP circle thuogh, thats the point. Norman was the one that was outside the GOP circle. She was endorsed by every one of the scummy SC GOP party elites with the exception of Nikki Haley, who endorsed Norman because they’ve been personal friends for 20 years.
So Trump endorsed the SC GOP’s favorite candidate, the same system that consistenly elected Lindsey Graham who was a walking disaster.
She’s like her brother except with more leftist credentials but without the Grindr account . . .
She is less shoulder rubbed with congress and special interest. Her staff could be whores, but she isnt. Way more possibilities of being won over by PDJT than by norman
🤣😂🤣
After all, SC has some of the best politicians that money can buy!
Do you know how true this statement is?? Many years ago I was the only one allowed in SC during the lobbyists buying spree scandal that came to light and shut down the state legislature.

For the first time in my life, I will vote Democrat, I CANNOT vote for Graham. I won’t. She is absolutely, spectacularly dumb.
What does the Democrat you will be voting for support? Sometimes (I would say most of the time) dumb is preferable to Democrat.
William Bland fell for the “feels” and lost his head. Good to see you posting @stella! Have a great evening.
I’ve voted idiot (Cornyn) many times over the jackass.. idiot or retard pick your poison..
Terribly young are you?
Effective messaging to start pointless in-fighting.
That’s real genius. Vote for the commie instead. Were you dropped on your head as a child?
I am not crazy about another Graham. However, she is not dumb. She just won a Primary race and the run-off against a formidable opponent. Equally important, what does her Democrat opponent stand for? Is there a vote history? If so, what is it?
All Democrats this cycle are promising Supreme Court “reform,” DC and PR statehood, deportation halt, etc. I’ll take a dumb Republican over a seditious Dem every time.
And the D-Rats are not dumb and evil? LOL
This will age poorly.
President Trump and his family are giving their lives to this country. That is not an exaggeration. He asks us to support Graham and you say this?
lol This is one endorsement that I believe we will regret after Trump is out of office, if she wins the general. Trump was “giving his life to this country” when he endorsed Lindsey, but that was also a bad choice.
Believe it or not, for all the good he’s done for the country, Trump is not always right.
J
But is he making the least wrong choice available to him?
I don’t think so. The president is counting on the emotional factor to propel the novice into the office. Unfortunately, Lindsey wasn’t very popular even among Republicans,. who, rightly so I believe, saw him as a weak-willed opportunist who would go whichever way the wind blows.
That being said, I hope that she retains the seat this November, for the sake of the larger picture. The primary is over and the prospect of a Democrat run Senate should push any sane, God-fearing South Carolinian to vote Graham, if for no other reason than to deny the seat to the anarchist Dems.
J
I don’t wish your options on to anyone, but then again, I’m in commiemommysota so you can’t teach me much about lousy options.
Norman was dumb enough to endorse Nimrata Haley. He also was for amnesty.
Wasn’t much of an opportunist if you beleive his net worth at death. Just saying.
It is possible to be a war mongering neo con without being on the take.
I think the issue we have had with Lindsey is he wholeheartedly beleived in everything he said. It is hard to desuade a man from his position when he “knows” he is right.
Its the neocon version of the leftist, when confronted with documented facts will respond with “I dont know that to be true”. They replace feels for facts. If it doesnt feel true it isn’t.
So israel is always right, The free market always. Immigrants only come here to be free amd work. For Lindsey those truism would never change.
FWIW, when Graham was being introduced the first time she said she would not be a rubber stamp to what her brother did, she would be her own person. I hope she meant it. Her brother didn’t do us any favors.
That remains to be seen!
No it doesn’t. PDJT knows more than you. Stop pretending
President Trump is a great president but he does get bad advice occasionally and his judgement is not always sound because of that advice.
Stop trolling!
It doesn’t matter if he is “right.” We can’t know that at this moment.
Just like the soldiers on D-Day didn’t know if they were doing the “right” thing. What we can know is Presjdent Trump is giving everything he has to save the country and this is what he has decided. He believes she will vote MAGA for him on the votes he needs now. End of story.
Voting for someone based on what might or might not happen in 2028 is stupid.
True that. But to hand a senate seat to a Democrat at this moment is NOT what America First needs.
Terribly over emotional reaction .
In her Victory Speech, Graham described her Dem opponent.
Sounded like a DSA lunatic.
Also, what you makes you think she will be anything like Lindsey? We know almost nothing about this person.
The one thing we can expect tho, is she will probably be voting with Trump for as long as he’s in office. Which is probably a good thing.
Hopefully you’ll calm down and get a grip about this after a good nite’s sleep.
“We know almost nothing about this person.”
Yes, well, that’s the issue, now isn’t it?
That’s the issue for me.
I doubt she would vote for a President Trump impeachment.
Joan, I do believe that is the bottom line, and why I think he pushed for her to get in.
Norman wouldn’t vote for that, either.
We do actually though, it’s the SAME staff, so same guiding (aka pushing) suggestions.
Agreed, we know nothing about her.
So why are so many jumping in with “she’s gotta be the *worst*”???
She may be
1) the worst
2) the best
3) just meh
But whatever she turns out to be, she’ll – more than likely- vote Save Act and other stuff POTUS wants to pass. Unlike so many GOP.
It is. I have never–not once in 40 years watching politics–seen a blank slate turn out well. Funded ones are chosen for that purpose.
I would have taken you more seriously if you’d just stopped at “I’ll sit this one out.” But like so-called Republicans who came out saying they’d vote for Kamala over Trump, it reads more like the mask coming off. Because while I didn’t want to see Graham win, I’d rather have her keep the seat in the Republican column (Trump’s calculation) than to watch us move one step closer to the catastrophe of a Democrat-led Senate, which really would be a disaster.
So if your vote is for a move toward a Democrat senate, then you’d be hard-pressed to convince me that you have any kind of principled opposition to Graham since whatever your fears about her in office (and a reasonable person can have them), ANY democrat would be worse since among that party, it’s all about the monolith and voting in lockstep. They are so far removed from anything sane right now that they make even the likes of Darlene Graham look palatable.
J
So, you’re going to vote for a communist in November? Good luck with that.
Rep… Dumb can be remedied with time and training.
Dem… Crooked and Evil are forever…
Clearly anyone voting Democrat is not only dumb but also foolish.
Better to vote not at all than to vote for a Democrat.
Well, she has Limpsey’s staff working for her so she will be able to learn on the fly, as they do most of the heavy lifting anyway.
All she has to do is ask “What would my brother have said or done?” and they will fill in the blank.
Pretty much all the Con-Gress Critters do that. I give you AOC and the Kamel as examples.
So what you’re saying is — you consider your vote sacred and will not be told by anyone, including the President and the site’s predictable echo chamber, for whom your vote should be cast?
Good on your, Mr. Bland.
*suspicious cat stare*
I won’t vote for either one. I must be convinced the candidate has earned my vote.
If Graham can get the SAVE Act passed I will vote for her. Yes I know… therefore I’m not voting.
Nothing is worse than a democrat. But your concern is noted.
That’s a terrible decision.
I can see sitting on the sidelines and not voting, but there is zero reason to vote for a communist which is what democRATS are. The last decent (now former) democrat was Tulsi, she refused to play piglosi and and that creep schiff’s impeachment game and voted her conviction instead.
Good for you. Suspect that will be a theme or not voting at all. What have the R’s done in Washington to justify a vote??
SAVE act??
War??
Gas prices??
Food costs?
Med/Health/Insur??
Housing???
Interest rates???
THE economy will prevail.
Vote for the Democrat physician because genital mutilation is your preferred option.
That ain’t the way, my friend. There are no longer ‘blue dog’ democrats to choose from. Tread carefully.
Yeah okay bud. How’s the folks at Langley today?
Ugh.
In the end this was South Carolina’s decision and there is not much the outsiders can do.
IMO the Sc elections are horribly rigged. So I don’t feel it was the SC voter’s decision and never has been, that’s why Lindsey won over and over again. Similar stuff going on in SC, that goes on in Alaska.
This is truth! I have been voting in crooked SC since the early 90’s. It becomes more corrupt as time passes.
Liberals and carpetbaggers along the coast and in the midlands and low country voted for Graham. The conservative Upstate supported Norman. That’s all that you need to know.
Well, Clyburn and AME church are there, so maybe . . .
Not much more that I can do now until November and then I’ll hold my nose and vote for Graham. Voting for a DemoCommie is not an option for me under any circumstances.
I prefer someone who’s friendly toward America, like Graham’s sister.
Good win for Trump. Norman paid the price for endorsing Nikki Haley instead of Trump in 2024.
Now let’s hope Darline isn’t another Lisa Murkowski.
Southern Murk, better keep your head
Don’t forget what President Trump said
Southern change gonna come at last?
Now your endorsement is burning fast
Southern Murk
CLEVER😎
Are we insane.
Lisa endorsed her to gain points with PDJT .
Wake the heck up. It’s not the other way around.
If she fails to support America First it won’t be because I voted for her.
Is she a fan of Zman like her brother? That’s a good reason not to vote for her. That means she’s part of the grift.
I will sit this one out for first time in 21 years as a full time resident.
That kind of thinking just might get a DemoCommie elected in November. Might want to rethink that idea. Have a nice day, Lorraine!
I understand that.
The take away is she’s a pig in a poke. You have no idea what he true intentions are, neither does President Trump.
It’s the SC GOP that supports her to keep the Ukraine grift flowing.
Of course we won’t know until it’s too late. I see the democommie as a real risk but I don’t want to be forcefed candidates.
“If she fails to support America First” . . .
“Is she a fan of [Ellensky] . . .
Not knowing the answer to either of the above you’ve decided you have a good reason not to vote for her and that she’s part of the grift AND that you’ll sit out the general election.
That’s some very twisted logic, Lorraine.
You aren’t being logical at all.
You don’t want to take responsibility if Darline fails to support America First.
Are you willing to take responsibility for helping a Democrat win in the general election if Darline loses?
0.o
I trust in God not the princes of this world.
None of them are omniscient.
I think it’s a foregone conclusion no matter what.
I told you in a previous comment I was a poll watcher in ‘22. I saw the cheat in real time.
I reported it to the poll manager and to the GOP precinct manager. The first made light of it. The latter never responded. This is how the GOP operates in SC.
Handing this seat over to a DemonRat is simply not an option. I didn’t vote for Darline this time but I’m damn sure voting for her in November.
Yeah, let’s hope!
not consequential when considering changing the trajectory this country won’t be remedied by voting booths

Amazing! A winner determined before midnight. Are you watching, Commiefornia?
This is a big win.
AP says Drummond was the top vote-getter in the June 16 primary, but Mazzei trailed by only 1,141 votes.
So, Mazzei trailed in the Primary to come back and win the run-off!
This is why we are a former republic.
I think what everyone is missing is: we couldn’t get a MAGA candidate!
Norman, although he boneheadedly endorsed his friend Nikki Hailey in 2024 or whenever it was, was MAGA in every way that counts. I mean it’s night and day but here we are.
Correct.
Bullshit. Quit getting tricked. If one was against PDJT in any way they were a sell out dumbass ( was a simple method to know)
Either sellouts or easily fooled. Possibly both.
Russell Fry had my total support.
Fry endorsed Graham, Lorraine. Hope you come around.
He endorsed her to keep the goodwill of the President. If he intends to keep his seat in the future he’ll need that support.
We got someone aligned with PDJT and grateful for what he has done for her and her family during this nightmare for her.
This is great news!!
BREAKING: Oklahoma voters have just PASSED codifying voter ID into the State Constitution — for “ANY method of voting”

Does Oklahoma allow illegals to get drivers licenses? Because if so, Moter Voter negates this law because any driver is automatically registered to vote.
Let it be noted that four counties voted against the Voter ID amendment, according to Decision Desk:
OKLAHOMA: The most populated county.
TULSA: The second most populated county.
CLEVELAND: The home of the University of Oklahoma.
PAYNE: The home of Oklahoma State University.
There is just something about big, urban cities and big college towns that are off-kilter.

I’m local, Ralph Norman was a far better candidate IMO but for whatever reason President Trump loved Lindsey Graham. The guy was incredibly corrupt and frankly embarrassing to represent SC. I’m sure his sister will be a similar creature. Everybody says Norman and Darline was a campaign of two bad candidates, i disagree. Ralph Norman had very little negatives, the worst thing they could say about him is that he allowed a data center to be built. Darline will also allow data centers to be built but will also be a war hawk and whatever else they pay her to be.
It’s a disappointing outcome but at the end of the day, I 100% support the President we’ll just have to disagree on this one. She will still be a better candidate than the dem, which Lindsey was a better candidate too so we’re stuck with the same ol same ol.
Norman, were it up to him, wouldn’t have had a 2nd Trump term. Think on that for a bit
I think Trump endorsing Letlow over Fleming in LA was a far bigger error on President Trump’s part, but don’t hear much about it for some reason.
SC is what it is. Only slightly better than GA because it lacks a massive Commie Urban Hell Hole like Atlanta. SC should be a super MAGA American First Machine.
It’s great to live here, we just have some crappy national representatives. In general though the whole state is very conservative with very conservative laws. All kinds of little things. For instance, in Covid the NC govenor shut down every business, except a few essential ones as he called it. In SC, at the same time, the govenor shut down a few businesses, which he thought might spread the so-called disease, and left 95% of businesses open. the exact opposite of NC. He said at the time, every business in SC was a essential business. He then opened the others back up about 2 weeks later and said he wanted to slingshot SC in front of all the other states and reopen everything first.
It’s a great place to live. Ralph Norman is one of the reasons it’s a great place to live, but we had people who know nothing about SC give us the incompetent sister of of our worst politician in the state on a national level. So once again we’ve been handed crap on a plate.
Don’t forget the influx of blue state retirees. They bring their bad habits and warped views with them. They might elect a D in November.
Thank you for the overview. Who are the”people who know nothing about SC”? SC definitely has / had some very questionable Republican Reps at the National Level. Do you think Graham Nordone will win easily over the Commie Dem? It appears Graham Nordone has the same Political Machine (people who know nothing about SC ?) behind her who kept her late brother Miss Lindsey in power.
It’s naive. Just like understanding that PDJT is attacked for fixing what bidens admin did to screw us.
Prices , affordability, etc
True Ron, SC is a great place to live and work, in spite of some of our politicians.
The choice was this: Norman is a “Yes” vote on a motion to convict Trump upon House impeachment. Graham is a “No” vote.
And that’s all I have to say.
What a ridiculous comment. Ralph Norman would never vote to impeach Trump, and didn’t any of the times it was brought up. Here’s a link from Feb. 2020, where he calls the impeachment stunt a charade, and applauds that he wasn’t convicted in the senate. The exact opposite of the nonsense you just said, out of ignorance.
https://norman.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx?DocumentID=436
I was thinking he bad mouthed Trump J6, was a Lizzie. My bad.
It does seem odd Trump f’d him. After defending Trump, J6’rs, all the way with DJT. But opposed 1BBB. Hate to have to admit, Trump is a petty sob sometimes. He’s endorsed more swamp creatures over petty policy disagreements with strong MAGA supporters. Loyalty truly is a one-way street.
No it doesn’t. And who gives a shit if a freedom caucus member said that. It would be a shot in the foot to say otherwise. Politically there is no other response he could say to that topic
Are we delusional. He wasn’t picked by the he person looking for senate votes with him. The end
True. I am America First all the way. I voted for Trump three times. I truly love the man and I pray for his safety and health everyday. But he can be petty and vindictive at times and I think that keeps him from seeing and thinking clearly on certain issues. And I do question his judgment on important matters sometimes. He has made some mistakes when it comes to endorsements and selections of staff and cabinet members in the past. But after all, he is only human. Where would we be if Hillary or Kamalala been (s)elected President?
You will come around. You seem like a fighter with good intent
👍
Ignorance indeed!
You couldn’t be more wrong!
Take a look at the “Experienced” Senators that the GOP has today. I’ll take Darline Graham any day over half of them. One thing about no experience is that you are not afraid of inner circle gotchas.
Norman is a good man but he has been there a long time and has many under the table connections with you help me and I’ll help you scenarios.
Imagine one of you going there just as she is and thinking that I am going to vote according to my heart and brain, not what I’m told to do.
I am appalled at the Senators who have years of experience and vote the way they do! Murkowski, Collins, Langsford, McConnell, Cassidy, Cornyn, McConnell and several others that I cannot remember their names. If this is what experience gets us then you can have it.
What she said about national security was honest because most of the things she wouldn’t know are classified and there is no way for her to know them. Ask yourselves and think of the 48 Dem Senators who do know about national security and look at how they vote!
There to long, screws everyone.
With an
Blackmail database, the only useful senator is a new one if you can get it
They most likely vote their pocketbook. Not our pocketbook, their pocketbook!
I can’t convince myself to vote for her at this point. I’ve never voted for anyone I didn’t have confidence in. I didn’t love Norman either.
It should have been Russell Fry.
Fry lost the Special Primary and endorsed Graham…
In this state the SCGOP machine preselects your candidates for you. Russell Fry was not controlled. They didn’t give him any financial contribution. They made it impossible for him to win.
This endorsement, such as it is, might allow him to hang on to his seat in the House in the future.
He also was irrelevant.
Except reality.
I accept the reality that the crooked state GOP SC machine didn’t want him. He’s my Congressman and I heartily approve his reelection when he runs again.
Are you from SC?
What a sad choice of candidates. I don’t have a good feeling about Graham. Told my husband I hope we don’t end up longing for the days of Lindsey.
Trump dug her out on this one.
It is literally depressing…the utter stupidity of some people…I am a loyal CTH reader and have donated here and will again today but we really are doomed as a nation. That is unfortunate for my 20 something children.
Preach!!!
I have to say D.G. seems like a nice lady, but I’m afraid this may be a case of heads you lose, tails you lose. Whoever advises her will mold her. That Could turn out all right, but she should have caught up by now regarding national security, Etc. Difficult.
Absolutely DISGUSTING.
Guess Trump and kids happy. The mid-terms will show them how happy America is.
Is this your first attempt at comedy?
So, the ‘Kolh-s Mom’s mom won…. meh.
To the uninitiated, Kohls is a dept store with large presence seemingly mostly in the south from what I gather. Their current ad campaign centers around a ‘mom’ figure called Kohl’s Mom. Mrs. Graham reminds me of her… with her quaint statements of little matter. As such, she’d be Kohl’s Mom-s mom (Kohl’s Grandma just doesn’t have the right ring to it).
We’re stuck with the same problem we had with Lindsey (minus, ones presumes, all of the trannie callboys).
In the quid pro quo for Trump’s endorsement, Trump was the quid. Now that she is elected there is no way to ever ensure the pro quo.
She is going to become his biggest problem in the Senate. WAY BIGGER than Susan Collins or Murkowski, because Darline is going to be out to prove herself and stamp out her own lane.
This is a problem inherent in having Senators be elected by popular vote rather than statehouse appointment.
Darline is also going to be very susceptible to manipulation by others and especially her staff, since she knows literally nothing about how Congress works. We may as well have elected a 7-Eleven clerk for the job, as that clerk might even be brighter, more talented and certainly more reliable.
Hey nobody knows what she’d do because she’s not a politician she’ll do what she thinks is right for her brother. She was Trumps sentimental pick and she will try and please him I’m sure.
I never could understand what Trump found so appealing about Lindsey…Cerrtainly not his Deep State politics. Watch Darline be a chip off the old block should she win or quite possibly fake it until after the midterms, then start working against MAGA, thus Trump, just like Goober did.
There is no reason why she isn’t going to start working against MAGA right now.
Interesting comments
I didn’t have a dog in the fight, and I don’t live in SC.
It’s not that I don’t care, but from what I could tell, both candidates have issues (potential and actual).
Time will tell.
Perhaps Ms Graham will surprise us in one way or the other.
Prediction: she will be a literal carbon copy of Lindsey. She will experience a carefully silo’d perspective on things that lead her directly into the arms of the neocons, and she will lack any of the discernment that might keep her from doing this. She doesn’t know what she doesn’t know, and big bro isn’t going to be there to hold her hand. I would imagine the most cunning members of Lindey’s holdover staff will be running the show.
You may be proven correct.
But you might also be proven incorrect.
Time will tell.
Lisa Murkowski had ulterior motives for giving Darline money and an endorsement.
Lisa ‘got behind’ Darline to:
1) Use the endorsement to suck up to President Trump
2) Taint Darline with Deep State Lisa Stink to trick MAGA into dumping Darline
3) Use the endorsement as leverage to try and make Darline feel beholden to Lisa and the rest of the swamp
4) Trick Darline into believing Lisa is an ally
President Trump chose Darline for whatever reasons and hopefully she will vote for and support his policies.
That Norman clown has too many dirty allies like Stinky Stikki Nikki and he is not to be trusted.
In all fairness, we should give Darline the benefit of the doubt and provide her our support in the upcoming general election.
There’s no cause for sitting around bashing her like these libtards are doing all over the damn internet.
Her lack of political savvy is an attribute and I’m sure President Trump will provide the necessary guidance she needs to be effective.
0.o
“4) Trick Darline into believing Lisa is an ally”
If any Republican worth his or her name ever sees Murkowski as an ally, then that alone should be disqualifying for any future office.

Darlene, Darlene, Darlene Darleeeen! ♪♪♪ Don’t you mess with our mannnn
It’s Jolene.
Here’s Me First and the Gimme Gimmes covering this infamous Dolly Parton song:

I realize it’s Jolene, I was trying to be ironical:)
Our political arena continues to sink to all time lows. Probably on the same curve as the academia dumbing down generations of our kids. All by design.
Darline must win the general and be beholding to the man (and his agenda) who got her a primary win. I’m still positive about this.
Thinking about Lindsey, I didn’t trust him but studied how he and President Trump seemed to be close.
Maybe Pollyanna here but I think during some of Trump’s darkest moments after 2020, Lindsey was probably there with him behind the scenes and openly on the golf course. Maybe in a Republic full of the snakes that the President is so aware of, he appreciated the encouragement from wormy Lindsey.
On a side note…I’m good to go that Darlene won after having honestly confessed she knew nothing about foreign affairs in the debate. That tells me she she isn’t conflicted and would (hopefully) vote the way President Trump asks – for all things America 1st – his agenda. I don’t care who gave her money. Without Trump’s support, she wouldn’t have won.
A no brainer. No lobbyists she’s beholding too. She should just vote Trump (and MAGAs) agenda.
I’d say that would make Darlene a more solid MAGA supporter than the rest of the RINOs who stab us in the back every chance they get with all their highfalutin foreigh affairs knowledge and lobbyists’ money.
Team Trump can train Darlene on foreign affairs and all other matters. Now, if she gets off track, that’s another thing.
Just my aside thought.
You hope.
OR
The Republican Senate Campaign Committee can just as easily capture her votes.
It’s more than likely she will choose the 50+ of THEM over the one of HIM.
And as soon as the next Congress goes into session Trump becomes a lame duck.
No guarantees, but my bets with Trump.
My whole life I have been hearing, “We got to vote these RINO’s out!” And we keep electing them.
Darline should avoid any debates that would give her (D)opponent any oxygen.
Con man fake good ol’ boy Roy Cupper is unlikely to debate Michael Whatley here in NC where I live, as long as his polling shows him comfortably ahead. That seems to be the m.o. among the Dems more generally. Sauce, goose, gander — some assembly required.
Miss Lindsy’s staff will still be in play. I am guessing it is a strong team and will carry the water for Trump.
I can’t express how much I love this result! Sending Suzie Homemaker into the pristine, over-polished, self-aggrandized stodgy Senate is a dream come true (of mine).
Plus, according to pundit Tony Kinnet, she ran well on two things, and two things alone: 1) I will always vote to deport, deport, deport ALL illegal aliens, and 2) I will vote to nuke the filibuster.
Sounds about right to me …good job South Carolina!
There’s a niggling part of my brain that wonders if the GOPelite maybe cheated to generate Graham’s primary win–just to put (they hope) Trump into a dilemma between getting the people into office that he needs… or getting the Save America Act passed.
There was no good option in this situation.
I never thought I’d be making this argument again, but the stakes are just too high this election season to allow a Democrat to win, even if it means putting a MAGA-lite Republican into office.
If you weren’t enthusiastic about the Darline Graham candidacy (I was not, to be honest), then you’d best either find some enthusiasm now or fall back on the tried and proven “holding of the nose” technique which conservatives have had to perfect during decades under Establishment rule.
Graham might not have been my first choice, but Annie Andrews would be a disaster. She’s for gun control, she cheerleads for abortion, she supports the mutilation of our kids (I believe they call it by the made up name “transgenderism” or some such…). She would be against everything Trump is trying to do in immigration. In other words, she would be a train wreck.
As tired as the phrase has become, Graham really would be the lesser of two evils in the general election if for no other reason than denying Chuck Schumer the gavel of majority leader. I am actually old enough to remember when Democrats last held the senate and also the last four years of the Biden regime. We don’t want to go there again.
Hard choices are sometimes necessary, but they’re made by serious people who see the big picture. Graham, we can work with. Andrews would have us gnashing our teeth and thinking wistfully “if only Lindsey had hung in there” And any situation that would cause you to be nostalgic for the Lindsey Graham years is to be avoided at all cost.
Save the dental bills and the maudlin reflections and if you’re in South Carolina, support and vote for Graham. The stakes are just too high.

Maybe it’s time to rise up while we still have 2A. Don’t be lulled into false security if Darline Uniparty candidate wins. She’d be play-doh in the hands of experienced manipulators.
What has this contest taught us? Yes, America, a US Senate seat IS a family heirloom.
One instance is perhaps an aberration.

Is not a senator.
I am not the hating type, but I am really starting to hate the professional GOPe. The fuse was lit in 2016 with NRO’s hit piece on Trump. I live in MN so I have to put up with a lot of political wimpery, so.
Debbie Downers.
My prayer is she is a true conservative and patriot. My brother is a liberal and I am an Ultra MAGA so I hope the same is true of these 2 siblings and I am happily surprised my Senator Grahams sister.
