Florida, Wyoming and Alaska all hold primary elections today with most of the interest focused on a few races in each state.
For the Florida Republican primary for Governor, candidate Byron Donalds easily wins the GOP contest. Donalds will now face Democrat David Jolly in the general election.
Alexander S. Vindman, the legend in his own mind and retired Army lieutenant colonel who operated as a false witness to help the CIA manufacture President Trump’s first impeachment trial, lost to DSA Communist State Representative Angie Nixon for Florida’s Democratic nomination for Senate. Nixon will now face Republican Ashley Moody in the general election.
WYOMING – In Wyoming, Representative Harriet M. Hageman, also running with President Trump’s endorsement, is likely to win the Republican Senate primary to replace Cynthia Lummis, who is retiring.
ALASKA – In the state that likes to play games with their elections, Alaska Senator Dan S. Sullivan, a Republican, faces former Democrat Representative Mary Peltola in one of the most closely watched Senate races of the midterms. A crowd of candidates including another inserted candidate, Dan J. Sullivan, are trying to split the votes with name games. The top four vote-winners will advance in this hot mess of a system.

Is Donalds worth a crap for MAGA?
Blame DeSantis who pushed Ashley Moody to the Senate when he was still pondering on having his own wife run for Florida governor. Ashley Moody was originally interested in becoming the next Florida governor instead of becoming a Florida senator.
He is against doing away with property taxes. Many of us in Florida are NOT happy.
I don’t believe that is what he said in his victory speech last night. That being said, we are one hurricane away from destitution. Those data centers? Uh, huh. All those snowbirds (and otherwise) that didn’t secure their multiple vehicles, got new ones. All those people filed insurance claims before their homes immediately before the wind had died down to gale force. These are people who live here three weeks out of the year. All those properties that got decimated by the river? They remodeled them and they are right back there by the river. They are building multi-story apartments OUT OF WOOD right by the river. This is in Lee County.

I have a hard time believing Florida Republicans helped Maria Elvira Salazar win her primary but apparently, her 27th Congressional District in Florida is 74% Hispanic, which explains why she can publicly boast on running on mass amnesty and open borders with her outrageous DIGNIDAD Act. However, this just proves that conservative Cubans in Miami are a myth. Cubans in Miami are conservative in their stance toward Cuba but left wing on everything else like illegal immigration. In other words, Maria Elvira Salazar is a RINO and Cubans in Maimi are RINOs as well, which is why Maria Elvira Salazar keeps getting re-elected since 2020 despite her acting like a Democrat, and Cuban RINOs in Miami seem to love her for that.

Unfortunately, Florida politicians have not always been hardline against illegal immigration and even endorsed amnesty for illegal aliens, such as Marco Rubio. After all, Florida used to be a purple state and not a red state. Reminder that Jeb Bush was a Florida governor and pro mass amnesty as well.
Donald’s is going to be a disaster for Florida. Trump really screwed up by backing him.
Blame DeSantis for being too power hungry that he never raised a genuine successor, since he was serious about getting his wife to run for governor that early on, he removed his wife’s biggest obstacle, Ashley Moody.

There’s something like 23 million people in Florida. Just looking around me, I’d say most of them are well old enough to vote.
The vote totals in the governor’s race are so few, it’s worrisome.

There were 11 ‘Republican’ candidates in the FL Governor race. Additionally, there are still far too many naive people who think the primary isn’t as important as voting in the general election and just blow it off. They are the ones who need to be educated but it’s like wading through mud trying to get them to understand.
Totally agree. I voted at 4:00 pm yesterday in the newly created Fl-22 in southeast inland Palm Beach County. There were two ballot scanner machines. I noticed that my ballot was #168. When I commented on the low number the volunteered mentioned that the second machine had 11. His view was that mail-in ballots and early voting made up the difference.
I found this voter turnout information which indicated around 3 million voted in Fl yesterday and 10 million didn’t. The chart provides a breakdown by early, mail-in, in person.

People should take notice of the numbers. Florida isn’t as solid red as pretenders like to imagine. Kind of like their much louder and much prouder (and much more purple) friends in Texas.

Byron Donald’s refused to participate in the republican governor debates. Lots of unanswered questions regarding his background and leadership capabilities. The democrats have nominated a savvy candidate David Jolly. If Byron dodges a debate or performs poorly in a debate Florida could easily elect a democratic governor stuck with a Republican super majority in the state government.
Wrong choice. It just goes to show Faux still controls the old folks.

Our small rural FL county had a 29% overall turnout in the primary. Pathetic and shameful! Great grass roots candidates like Matt the Welder and Chris Gleason got blown out by RINO establishment. James Fishback could have won against Byron had Paul Renner and the rest of the RINO’s dropped out of the governor’s race. Ashley Moody, Byron and others took plenty of money from AIPAC and the CCP. They are all useless and corrupt in my book.
