Hopefully this will be a lesson to multiple people, including President Donald Trump. There is no room for softness on the topic of deporting illegal aliens.
In one of the biggest examples of a mistake in Republican campaigning, three weeks before the primary election Minnesota Governor candidate Mike Lindell made the fatal mistake of advocating for greater leniency for illegal aliens, with inferred amnesty in his immigration platform. The backlash was fierce, righteous and directly targeted. Lindell was blasted.
Last night, despite the support and endorsement from President Trump, Lindell was resoundingly defeated by Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House.

The MN ICE surge is hyped by the DFL and media as a disaster, pushed as the #1 election topic, and will appear in debates and anti-Demuth ads.
Lindell’s proposed amnesty plan would have defused that topic and shifted the argument in his favor. So a campaign trial balloon turned into his Hindenburg.
Regardless, he would have had zero authority to go forward with the plan without congressional support.
I agree. I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota and I know that it would be impossible to be elected for Governor with a position of mass deportations. Since Mike Lindell is an honest man of integrity he will not say one thing and do another. He was thinking out loud. I am praying that Lisa Demuth wins but I do not see her confronting Amy Klobuchar. Only Mike Lindell has the courage of his convictions to do that. We saw that at the Farmfest debate where in my opinion he shined!
Mike could have dodged the question, but that is not his nature. I hope he stays in politics, we need his strong Christian voice.
Lin Wood was right again.🫢
Did Lin say anything about Lindell? I don’t recall.
He actually called him out years ago when it seemed completely insane to even suggest he was anything other than rock-solid MAGA.
Thank you. Very interesting.
Or …
Lindell was never really campaigning for governor.
He was campaigning to get his products back on and in the good graces of the MSM TV channels, and back in the woke big box stores, after they all black-listed him.
Because Sloppy Steve can only sell so many pillows on RAV, between gold and title insurance ads.
don’t buy it –> the same things were said about Trump in 2016, remember? he was only in it to start his own media/news channel! going in for the money angle first thing is always sloppy cynicism at best.
How long have we heard that Hollywood is only interested in money. Mel Gibson’s, “Passion of Christ” destroyed that myth forever.
More and More, if you open your eyes, you will notice that AGENDA is far more influential than money in most things.
Mike Lindell was blacklisted for standing up against a stolen election, no matter the cost. There is nothing wrong with being a good salesman. He, by the grace of God, invented a quality product.
But his tactics were sleazy as hell. I called the business once to ask if they ever sold anything at his “full price”, and she laughed, and said, “Of course not”. Sleaze. Lies. Deceptions. Ugh.
When I first heard his announcement, I knew he was toast, Trump endorsement or not.
I’m telling you, people have had enough.
With the Somali fraud, Mike shot himself in the foot. If he had used the fraud investigation and a little Scott Bessent numbers on how much the fraud hurt Minnesotans, 8 to 12 billion is big money. This focus on the COST of illegal immigration and fraud to law abiding taxpayers, we might have had Governor Mike. RINOs fed him bad intel. And he bought it.
Kind of an end-of-game ‘Hail Mary’ throw, but most ‘fans’ won’t forget.
Mike Lindell has a passion for the truth. I for one really admire that.
Don’t have to pay third world workers as much as Americans.
I have been saying for many, many months — Mike Lindell is a lying snake, a dishonorable man, and a man who has the depth of thought of a worm.
Mike Lindell set himself up to fail in many ways.
Mike Lindell was absolutely NOT chosen by the MNGOP grassroots delegates at the MNGOP State Convention to be our gubernatorial candidate, and yet, he followed the lies of Doug Wardlow — who lost his bid for MN AG and blamed the “good old boys club” for that loss, instead of taking a good look at himself and seeing the slimeball almost everyone else sees him as. Plus the “good old boys club” was the furthest thing taking place at the state convention that year, a year when there were more brand new to the party patriots there than ever before. Those patriots went out of their way to become involved and fight the true good old boys in order to have a seat at the convention.
But yeah, Dougie told Mike that lie and Mike ran with it. Both liars belittled the hard work done by true patriots, which I’m sure was not forgotten by many.
I ordered his stupid pillows. Overpriced junk with non-return policy. I agree…he is a scammer.
Same – they were awful!
Try Nuzle pillows. I bought two of them and my neck has never felt better.
Got one. BEST decision for my neck pain EVER!
My word, yiz are cruel. Sheesh. I see Lindell as as well-meaning but none-too-swift patriot who was outraged by The Steal and put up his fortune to try to prove the fraud and save the republic — not unlike the founders. For that he got his head handed to him by the corrupt courts and media. I personally couldn’t watch his interviews for even a minute, and was exasperated by his ubiquitous ads. But I bought his pillows and prayed for this brave fellow Christian, who lifted himself out of addiction and became a large employer and distinguished American. Carry on, good man.
I very much agree with you. He stood up for Trump after the election, & almost lost everything! And I give him a lot of credit for beating his addictions & helping others deal with theirs.
Spot on. Mike put his money where his mouth is on the issue of election fraud. A true leader.
Well said.
As Christians I pray we are all brave in spreading the good news of Jesus Christ throughout our daily lives.
I pray too that we stand in the gap for our brothers and sisters in the Lord when they are fighting, like we all did when Mike was putting everything on the line for President Trump.
No one said he did not have a good story of the Lord seeking and saving him. I gladly say that happened, and rejoice that it did.
No one said Mike did not do great things for President Trump when he was trying to prove the election was rigged. We all knew it was and knew Mike did do great things.
But as Christians it is our responsibility to speak the truth when we see a brother or sister in the Lord going off the narrow way and sinning. That is also our responsibility, one which few Christians seem to realize or act on these days.
We are told NOT to judge those who are outside the church. We are told TO judge those who are inside the church, because they are the people who are witnesses — they are the representatives — for the Lord, Jesus Christ here on earth.
And if they are deceptive, lying, and doing wrong things, then they are showing the world that Jesus means nothing, whatsoever.
Jovan Hutton Pulitzer seems to agree with you and published some damning information about Mike in his substack newsletter during Mike’s campaign. I don’t agree with him or you because I have seen this man risk everything to prove election fraud in 2016 and the way he was smeared and ostrasized made me think of what was done to Tina Peters who also stood up and yelled about the election fraud. Respectfully, I disagree that he’s a con man.
Why for goodness sakes would he do such a stupid thing?
.
He’s a non-using addict. Anybody educated on addiction recovery will tell you that stopping use of drugs/alcohol is just the first step. Going through counseling to expose the underlying dysfunction is essential, or the addictive behavior will surface again in some other way. He never went through that step, & boy, does it show! And he has no accountability partner. Big problem.
Been trying to wake people up to Lindell’s erratic, compulsive, attention-hound, lying style since 2020. It was obvious to me from the start. And I hold Bannon partly responsible for always giving him a platform.
Mike brings reproach on the name of Christ, too, bigly. Horrible example. His sales techniques are the sleaziest in the business. Maybe he’ll get some treatment now and SHUT UP. He should go off to a monastery that has a vow of silence, for at least 6 months.
Funny. I’ve never read any of your criticisms of Mike. Must have missed them.
But this is a nasty unhinged piece.
I’m from Minnesota and supported Lindell despite the illegals stupidity because of his loyalty to Trump.
When I met some of his staff at Farmfest last week, I walked away feeling they were assassins who were there to take him out of the race.
As Colkitto knows from past interactions, I’ve been around the block politically.
I’ve been around the block, down the street and around the corner politically here in Minnesota since I was 17. Most of us here have been in one way or another.
But Mike being loyal to President Trump does not make him a good candidate for any political office. Him having money or owning a business doesn’t either.
Many people here at the Treehouse could easily fit those shoes, but know they do not have the skills or knowledge to run for governor.
Mike Lyindell has a good back story, one we cheer for because the Lord seeks and saves the lost, and He did that for Mike.
Mike also did a lot to try and catch the cheat we all know took place in 2020, and no one would take away the great things he did at that time.
Heck, I’d guess that everyone of us here at the Treehouse, if we had the same money, time and resources as Mike did would do the same (minus the socialist who like to come on here and stir-up trouble).
Why do you think you felt like his staff were assassins who were there to take him out of the race? Because they know him better than you and me, and they see him for who is really is — and like the delegates at the state convention — they do not like or believe the person they see.
Raven, After the election, I’d love to have coffee. You and I agree on a lot and I’m open to Lindell not being who he wants us to think he is. My email is [email protected]. I live near New Ulm but come into the Cities.
Interesting insight, I suspected as much.
I am from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Ilhan Omars district. Amy Klobuchar has huge name recognition. She has the reputation of being a good old fashioned democrat, true blue. She won the primary with 92% or something like that. Yet, Mike called her out at FarmFest and asked her why she was adamant about the risk of the voting machines until 2020. When it was an issue she stayed quiet. I wonder why she is running for Governor when she has a comfortable Senate seat. Because she can fix things? Mike Lindell would have been an honest and fearless Governor. We have so many problems here, including browbeat Police. He would have been strong in their defense. He would have set limits on the protests, enforced the law. As it is the church that was accosted by Don Lemon and friends is harassed every Sunday morning by the most vulgar of protestors – in front of children! Governor Walz, whose Governors mansion is nearby, jogs by and congratulates the protesters! What happened to freedom of religion? We have a horrible Governor right now. Mike Lindell with his name recognition plus the fact that Minnesota sometimes does vote for maverick candidates like Jesse Ventura might have done this exceptional thing and voted for Mike.
FAFO
I don’t know if she is better, I’m hoping she is, BUT I was not happy at all about this endorsement or his Amnesty position, I didn’t like any of it, I was really hoping the people would see past this endorsement and not go for Mike Lindell.
I feel relieved about this.
Not ALL Trump Endorsements are good, sometimes he ‘owes them one” and pays it back this way, we need to be really careful locally if our candidate gets a Trump endorsement and yet we know it’s not right.. follow what you know the truth to be and not necessarily an endorsement.
I’d say if she isn’t for Amnesty, this makes her better already..
P. Trumps endorsement record is awful. Seems to do it reflexively, end of day, when he’s tired. Like Byron Donald’s.
Trump endorsed candidates have won 220 out of 227 races in 2026.
97%
What the hell? Where have you been? And 7 trolls here endorsed this post?
…if she isn’t for …
..if..
The (legislative voting) record can be more clear,
than the words (which are malleable over time).
We are where we are because of reckless indulgence. Go back to hawking pillows, Mr. MIke.
Reckless indulgence in what regard, please? On the part of whom?
Did think this would appease the anti-ICE voters? FAFO.
Lindell won solidly in counties that were far enough outside metro areas. Polls showing Lindell up a few points in the final days probably moved some people to come out and vote for Demuth.
The cities and suburbs remain corrupt and comfortable, even as social foundations crumble and fall.
Lindell had a strong statement at the Farmfest candidate forum about Minnesota’s problems being fundamentally spiritual.
Looking at the numbers for this primary, I can’t pretend anymore that very many of my neighbors are going to heaven.
Because they didn’t vote for Lindell?
Sundance, can you give a specific example of why you made this statement, “Hopefully this will be a lesson to multiple people, including President Donald Trump. There is no room for softness on the topic of deporting illegal aliens.” When or what instance do you think President Trump was soft on deporting illegal aliens?
Carolyn Bell
Sundance was referring to Mike Lindell who suddenly thought amnesty for illegals was a much better idea than rounding them up and deporting them – and he paid the price. It is a warning to others who might get squishy.
If you read my post, I quoted Sundance exactly and it seemed to me that he included President Trump in the group that as he said, “there is no room for softness on the topic of deporting illegal aliens”. If there is anybody that is not soft it is President Trump. Another thing is he bolded President Trump as if to bring attention to him. That is how I took it and I wasn’t being critical of Sundance but just wanted him to clarify that statement.
He’s soft. Where’s our mass deportations?
Some reasons why he could have lost:
1.People close to him who were RINOS and disconnected with the base told him that MN republicans wanted amnesty. When this was not the case.
2.He actually believed in amnesty the whole time and kept it quiet.
3.He got too full of himself after the Trump endorsement, as late as it was and foolishly doubled down on his amnesty argument. What a fool.
He was very loyal to Trump, but he was not loyal to MAGA and that cost him the election. Bad advice from his people.
Ask yourself where are the mass deportations we were promised and voted for?
I for one am sick of this administration patting themselves on the back for deporting less than 1% of the illegal horde that has invaded our shores.
It’s obvious this administration has decided to only give lip service to the promises we were given.
And you knee jerk rinotards that don’t like the truth being told because it hurts your precious little feelings can suck an egg.
What was this man thinking?
If he was this clueless, thank goodness he got trounced.
He is clueless and should never have been seduced into believing he was a good choice to run for governor.
This is another example of the uniparty ensuring enough candidates run so they split the ticket and their candidates — on both sides — are on the ballot in November.
Guess the Chamber of Commerce is still alive and well?
Judging from Minnesota’s present leadership, I do not have much regard for Minnesotans’ voting wisdom anyway.
💯 👍 👍 😄
This as much as anything, shows the anti-ICE demonstrations were heavily needed with outside agitators.
614,474 votes for Klobacher alone in her primary.
413,536 total Republican votes for all 3 candidates.
That’s a big margin in favor of the Dims. A lot of work to be done.
God have mercy on Minnesota.
Clearly 9 billion dollars of fraud is fine. Are there ANY decent people in Minnesota who are rightfully outraged by this fraud?
Learing Centers?
I guess I am old fashioned and stuck in my ways. I just figured that people would be upset with the misuse and outright theft of NINE BILLION dollars of taxpayer money.
God is merciful but he will NOT be mocked.
Judgement will come but not in this life.
Lindell says, “I don’t care cuz this is gonna work!”
Well guess what, Mike?
You sure as hell aren’t gonna work as governor.
MAGA will never elect a traitor.
Consider yourself permanently de-platformed!
He was always a stupid blowhard. Good riddance.
Mike’s a good man who made an error of judgement and is paying the price.
He’s worked tirelessly to expose the 2020 fraud and they went after him for that.
He doesn’t deserve the pounding and character asssassination
he’s copping today.
I agree he does not deserve the pounding and character assassination. Unfortunately MAGA did not deserve him switching drinks at the last minute. I don’t drink gin and tonic, I drink whiskey. All he needed to do was not say anything until after he was elected. I would have liked it much better that way, because it shows that he had common sense to say what he needed to say to get in the door first. But I still like the guy!
To me it’s obvious.
He employs illegals to do the menial task of using sewing machines (rag trade has been a solid employer of immigrants all across the West, especially the women).
You don’t know that, you just made it up. Shame on you..
She probably did…but all the same, it does track.
I have every right to speculate. You have no right to shame me, which happens all too often on this site.
Who died and made you the arbiter of shame?
If you don’t like my comments, DON’T INTERACT. Simple rule to keep the peace on this site.
I was banned for quite sometime because another poster tried to shame me (I’ll pray for you, was said) I responded and got banned.
Lindell has exposed so much and his life story is remarkable. He may not be governor’s material but let us not tear down a patriot. I am surprised at so much criticism for a man that risked his business for election truth.
Let’s pray for Mike and help him through this. Galatians 6:1-5
Lindell was always like that underneath it all.
Wow. Self destructed… missed this news cycle… blessings to Mike.
I read this take on it.
The Minnesota GOP endorsed Kendall Qualls (in 3rd place) to split the conservative vote. Then, like clockwork, the Minnesota GOP RINOS came out with a bogus campaign accusing Mike of being for amnesty – just a few days before the election. Then they accused him of violating campaign finance rules so that he had to step down from his company.
If Qualls wasn’t in the race, and the Minnesota GOP didn’t endlessly sabotage Mike, Mike would have beaten Lisa hands down. THAT’S WHAT YOU SHOULD REMEMBER. The Democrats didn’t try to destroy Mike – the Minnesota swamp RINOs did.
In addition to being very astute at countering c-dem attacks to him personally, and the business..
countless, continuous attacks…
( and considering all of the lost other businesses in the plandemic era …countless businesses lost)
Mr. Lindell
has also
persevered to get to the truth about past election fraud
and to get to election security, on his dimes,
more than any other person that most people could name.
(and yes, he (as have some other people over centuries)
learned about persevering through adversity(s) through prior early experiences along the faith life journey).
…each experience can strengthen the resolve, for the next…
The person knows how (via god-gifted brain) to get things correctly, honestly done, beyond what other people could even imagine.
…meanwhile, the c-dems and rino senate sets on the simple SAVE America Act for over a year…
( the House passed it over a year ago )
Yes, there are a lot of games that other people play
(and way, way too often, for them selfish selves,
and not for the good of the ‘we the people’).
There is an ongoing opportunity to learn…

You could not be further from the truth, kim.
Although MNGOP and RINOs do horrendous things, it was the grassroots patriots who worked to become delegates to the convention, and it was delegates to the state convention that chose Kendall Qualls.
And why did Kendall Qualls get so many votes?
Because Mike Lyindell saw he was not going to get the votes, and instead of being honest and forthright about his intentions, he told the delegates he was bowing out and told those supporting him to throw their votes to Kendall Qualls.
That is what Mike Lyindell did.
But those were not his true intentions.
Mike did not bow out of the race, he bowed out of the convention, fully knowing he was staying in the race. Big difference.
Mike told his supporters to vote for Kendall Qualls. Why? Because he wanted them to fully support Kendall? Nope, all Mike wanted was to make sure Lisa Demuth did not get the endorsement. So Mike was playing a game, but lying every step of the way as he did.
If Mike had been truthful he would have bowed out of the convention, and let the delegated decide on their own who they wanted to see on the ballot in August. . . two days ago.
But MNGOP as the head organization of a business who is in business to make money did not “endorse” Kendall Qualls. It was patriots here in Minnesota who knew President Trump was being screwed who did the hard work to pick a candidate from the long list of those who ran, for governor.
And in the end, when MNGOP should have fully backed the endorse candidate, Kendall Qualls, and given him time and attention and money because he was the endorsed candidate, instead, it was at that time, that MNGOP screwed Kendall by not fully backing the endorsed candidate.
Mike would have never, ever, beaten Lisa. Never.
Lastly, MNGOP did not come out accusing Mike of anything. If you have not seen Mike Lyindell saying exactly what he said concerning illegals then you need to go find the video and watch it for yourself, because it was Mike, and no one else, who shot himself in the foot.
Collossal Unforced Error.
Lindell really should have known better.
He’s made his money by reading people, starting with face-to-face cold-call sales.
He should have “read the room” on the mass-immigration disaster.
How could he bumble and fail such a simple topic? . . . the seven official amnesties since 1986 have all led to disasters, and finally the Auto-Pen Administration brought in untold millions of illegals.
If he keeps working on election mal-administration, I can forgive this unforced error. Just this once.
Even if he next offers a “buy one, get 50 free” deal on his pillows, I suspect we’ve heard the last from this guy. No loss, in my opinion.
the minnesota people are custom to corrupt state governments, too stupidity ,
Did he pick up the crack pipe again?
You think you know someone. Good grief!
I will agree with one thing Mike kind of said: we need to go after the employers of illegals.
I have seen construction companies maintain a group of illegals like they own them (which in a sense they do). They provide housing (often trailers and campers) and transportation to and from work and stores.
Then the people dodged another disaster in the making. Glad he lost. Illegals must go.
This is an example of the type of behavior and character Lindel wanted to give leniency to. We cannot allow anything but the strict adherence to the law with the uninvited, unvetted, unassimilated, illegal aliens which Obama and Biden allowed into our country.
15-year-old Muslim boy reportedly takes
14-year-old European girl as a sex slave—with
full consent of his parents?
I haven’t a clue who the real Mike Lindell is, but I don’t know how anyone professing to be MAGA, or merely a conservative can have lived here (or any Western country) through the last decade and say what he did.
No amnesty, no forgiveness, no mas.
I don’t trust any election results anymore, even GOP primaries. There’s simply too much fraud, too many ways to cheat and too many people in positions of power who are united against the people having any say in their governments.
