Hopefully this will be a lesson to multiple people, including President Donald Trump. There is no room for softness on the topic of deporting illegal aliens.
In one of the biggest examples of a mistake in Republican campaigning, three weeks before the primary election Minnesota Governor candidate Mike Lindell made the fatal mistake of advocating for greater leniency for illegal aliens, with inferred amnesty in his immigration platform. The backlash was fierce, righteous and directly targeted. Lindell was blasted.
Last night, despite the support and endorsement from President Trump, Lindell was resoundingly defeated by Lisa Demuth, the speaker of the Minnesota House.

I listed to Mike’s audio book on a long road trip. I liked the book & Mike. I was skeptical about Mike running for office and that skepticism bore some rotten fruit. Did Mike go senile?

Mike should have listened and followed Trump who is a PROVEN WINNER even when every possible thing is put up against him….he still wins!

I’ve said before that MAGA is bigger than the president, despite what he thinks or whom he endorses. You do not ‘Make America Great Again’ by rewarding lawlessness, no matter how many hoops you surround it with for people to jump through. It stands to reason that if America was great before (it was), it wasn’t due to rationalizing and encouraging mass illegal immigration. So doing it now has nothing to do with making America great again.
As I’ve posted, Mike was not ready for prime time, and now that he’s more fully revealed his inclinations, I think he’s best positioned selling mattress covers and pillows and supporting conservative efforts from the sidelines.
It’s not like the party is hurting for more RINO-lite members.

As a born again Christian who survived addiction, Mike got 2nd chances & he believes everyone should have the same.
Unfortunately he’s wrong about the path to a 2nd chance. Mistakes must be corrected & then the correct path must be pursued. That means illegal alien squatters must leave & apply to return legally. No amnesty of any kind, ever again can be tolerated.
Let this be a lesson to him so he can get past his suicidal empathy.

Mike is a good guy AND made a very bad position and got smacked by MAGA.
Mike works in a place (owns it actually) that probably hires illegal people, pillow factory, and has made friends with some of his employee’s, and from “heart” place, wanted to be “nice” to those people. Illegals!
But, Mike didn’t think of the BIG PICTURE, having 21-30 million unvetted people coming into country , many people that have “bad” hearts, and preying on regular US citizens is not good for the country.
Love Mike, but his “heart” was not looking at the big picture.

I am actually going to cut him just a little slack. I think this is his moral conviction on this matter and he didn’t compromise on his values. We need more of that. Are his convictions correct? That’s another argument. Will they put him in office? Not hardly.
