jugexcuse me vase, was coming up for sale – I’ve just found a notation of the selling price:“… A special piece crossing the block was a Copeland 1876 Centennial Memorial vase modeled as three back-to-back eagles, American flags and three cobalt shields upon bundles of arrows. An online buyer picked it up for $7,140 ($4/6,000). With excitement building up for next month’s July 4 celebrations in the milestone year, the sale of this vase was well timed….”

150 years later, I just randomly stumbled upon a “1976-2026” dime, and am rushing to look for another Proof Set.

I’d like to suggest that, at the recent hamburger-joint incident in Idaho, we had TWO “trained officers” on the scene.
One of them was on the payroll. The other one was not. But, both of them were [SELF-]TRAINED to know what to do.
And, to me, here’s the most critical thing: “TRAINING and PRACTICE.” It’s not enough to simply buy and carry a gun. You have to learn. In an urban setting, you must(!) invest in “range time.”
(And, in nice peaceful settings, this is an engaging “one-person game of skill.”)
