Republican senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis are refusing to support Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche for full senate confirmation.
President Trump notes he will not accept the threats and blackmail from both outgoing senators and will renominate Todd Blanche if needed after the two senators are removed from office.
[Via Truth Social] – “Todd Blanche is a STAR, and everyone knows it! He has the potential to go down as one of the Greatest Attorney Generals of All Time. However, John Cornyn, of Texas, and Thom Tillis, of North Carolina, both of whom I refused to Endorse, and whose political careers have been ended by my action, are refusing to vote for this Great Nominee, who will remain, in any event, as Acting.
Remember, both Cornyn and Tillis voted for Merrick Garland, and others, too numerous to mention. I have no objection to temporarily withdrawing Todd’s name, if they do not do the right thing, and putting him back after Cornyn and Tillis are out of office.”
President Trump’s only flaw IMHO is that he is too nice.
People like Cornyn and Tillis only respond to fear.
Couldn’t agree more. I couldn’t care less how rough he gets with Iranians. That’s an easy call. It’s how he deals with the insidious evil within our borders that matters. The enemy is here.
should do this with every single position that requires senate confirmation. put in an acting that will go scorched earth. if the president played hardball we wouldn’t end up w/ losers like markwayne and clayton.

I suggest becoming a realist. For decades the GOP has played the game of -for every 3 bad ideas from the DNC that erodes our constitutional framework and basic relationship with government the GOP gives into 1 or 2, then the DNC just rehashes the bad ideas not getting established at a later date piled in with some new ones and the GOP gives in to a few more items and overtime the suite of key policies of the DNC party get integrated into our system of government. So the die was cast many years ago with the modern form of the GOP. They are the party that just slowed the process of ruin.
Fact is they weren’t any better republicans when President Trump supported them. That’s why he quit. Stop the whining and act your ages dumb and dumber.
The Senate is a den of evil. My 2 D Senators can hold up any US Attorney nomination for Nevada till the cows come home. The Senate needs an update of rules and while at it; repeal the seventeenth amendment.
