Republican senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis are refusing to support Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche for full senate confirmation.
President Trump notes he will not accept the threats and blackmail from both outgoing senators and will renominate Todd Blanche if needed after the two senators are removed from office.
[Via Truth Social] – “Todd Blanche is a STAR, and everyone knows it! He has the potential to go down as one of the Greatest Attorney Generals of All Time. However, John Cornyn, of Texas, and Thom Tillis, of North Carolina, both of whom I refused to Endorse, and whose political careers have been ended by my action, are refusing to vote for this Great Nominee, who will remain, in any event, as Acting.
Remember, both Cornyn and Tillis voted for Merrick Garland, and others, too numerous to mention. I have no objection to temporarily withdrawing Todd’s name, if they do not do the right thing, and putting him back after Cornyn and Tillis are out of office.”

If the useless Senate would have passed the Save America Act, and confirmed the nominees, there was a very good chance Ken Paxton would have stepped aside, and let Cornyn have another term.
I wrote multiple messages to Cornyn and Thune asking for that, but neither of these RINOs ever responded.
Cornyn is a POS. I proudly voted for Paxton, and will glad to see Cornyn go.

Senators should be asked to justify the filibuster. Why does the senate self-impose an extra constitutional supermajority threshold? Explain why you are smarter than the framers. If the filibuster is so good, why not apply it in the House? If the filibuster is so good, why are equivalent mechanisms in state legislatures so rare? Why shouldn’t it be the House that self-imposes a supermajority threshold?

So Cornyn’s and Tillis’ opposition to Blanche is not against Blanche, per se, but to use as a wild card for the legislative to dictate to the executive.
Cornyn wants make certain the $1,776 legal defense fund is dead.
Tillis wants the DOJ to consult the Epstein victims.
That is my understanding. Of course I may not have a complete understanding, even not knowing other aspects.
