-The Lincoln Building ~ 1833
Originally known as the Everhart Building, this structure is a classic example of Federal style architecture with Victorian era influences.
It features a symmetrical facade, hipped roof, detailed dentil cornice brickwork, a strict, vertical three-bay window alignment, single, arched dormer window, an ornate second-story veranda with intricate wrought & cast ironwork showcasing lacelike geometric and floral iron patterns, decorative iron brackets, and is dressed in traditional red brick, distinctive forest green, and warm cream color palette.
Fun facts.. Built by Congressman William Everhart, this structure served as the printing house for the Chester County Times newspaper. On February 11, 1860, the newspaper published the very first biography of Abraham Lincoln on its front page. In 1947, the Chester County Historical Society officially fixed a marker to the facade to commemorate this event. From that point on, it became known as The Lincoln Building.

Interesting that in an ancient (over 2000 years) Kabbalistic “parable”, it describes how the moon came to be. Originally the sun and the moon were both “equals”, but then the moon “questioned” God on how is it possible that both of them could be equal – surely argued the moon one of them had to be “higher” – in the natural order of Kingship (“two kings cannot share one crown,”.) So God said to her (the moon) “go and diminish yourself.” She answered: Master of the Universe, since I said a correct observation before You, must I diminish myself? God said to her: As compensation, go and rule both during the day along with the sun and during the night. She said to Him: What is the greatness of shining alongside the sun? Probably nothing to do with Betelgeuse and companion, but who knows, perhaps this will be the fate of the smaller star?? What I do find very intriguing though is these “concepts” certainly occupied the minds of people thousands of years ago – obviously without the “technical” knowledge we have today.

Evening Prayer For Forgiveness
Heavenly Father, thank You for bringing me through this day and Lord, forgive me for the times when I have wandered outside Your best will for me, instead of trusting You implicitly.
Thank You, that You are such a gracious Shepherd to me and that You come and rescue me even when I lose my way and stray from the path that You have laid out for me.
As I look back over today, I know Lord that there were things that I should have said and done differently, and times when I reacted in a manner that was not honouring Your holy name. Forgive me I pray, but thank You, Father, that You always faithfully prepared to gently bring me back to Yourself.
Give me a good night’s sleep I pray, knowing that there is no condemnation because I am in Christ, and may I wake up in the morning refreshed and ready to do Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray,

Heavenly Father, as I lie down to sleep tonight, I pray that You would guard my sleeping and protect my mind from wandering thoughts and unnecessary planning. Teach me to wait for Your perfect timing and not to try to plan my future in my own strength.
Lord, I know that You have scheduled every day of my life. Help me to trust You in all things and rely on You to lead me along the straight path and guide me in the direction that You would have me to go.
Give me patience to wait for Your perfect timing, and may I not trust in my own abilities and scheming, but rather rest in Your love and trust my future into Your hands.
